Hesekiel 29
1 Uti tionde årena, på tolfte dagen i tionde månadenom, skedde Herrans ord till mig, och sade:
In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the twelfth day of the month, came the word of the Lord unto me, saying,
2 Du menniskobarn, ställ ditt ansigte emot Pharao, Konungen i Egypten, och prophetera emot honom, och emot hela Egypti land.
Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt.
3 Predika, och säg: Detta säger Herren Herren: Si, jag vill till dig, Pharao, du Konung i Egypten, du store drake, som i vattnena ligger, och säger: Strömmen är min, och jag hafver gjort mig honom.
Speak and say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will be against thee, O Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great crocodile that lieth in the midst of his streams, who hath said, Mine is my stream, and I have made it for myself.
4 Men jag skall lägga dig ett bett i munnen, och hänga fiskarna i dina floder vid din fjäll, och skall draga dig utu dinom ström, samt med alla fiskar i dina floder, som vid din fjäll hänga.
But I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will fasten the fish of thy streams on thy scales; and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy streams, with all the fish of thy streams which shall stick fast on thy scales.
5 Jag skall kasta dig med fiskarna bort utu din vatten, in uti öknena; du skall falla uppå markene, och intet igen upphemtad eller församlad varda, utan blifva djuromen på markene, och foglomen under himmelen, till ett as.
And I will cast thee out into the wilderness, thee with all the fish of thy streams; upon the open field shalt thou fall; thou shalt not be brought in, nor gathered up: to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven have I given thee for food.
6 Och alle de, som bo uti Egypten, skola förnimma att jag är Herren, derföre att de Israels huse en rörstaf voro;
And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the Lord; because they have been a reed-staff to the house of Israel.
7 Hvilken, då de honom fattade, söndergick, och stack dem genom sidona; när de stödde sig vid honom, gick han sönder, och stack dem i ländena.
When they took hold of thee with the hand, thou wast cracked, and didst rend for them all the shoulder: and when they leaned upon thee, thou wast broken, and madest all their loins to be at a stand.
8 Derföre säger Herren Herren alltså: Si, jag vill låta svärdet komma öfver dig, och utrota i dig både folk och fä.
Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and I will cut off out of thee man and beast.
9 Och Egypti land skall varda tomt och öde, och de skola förnimma, att jag är Herren; derföre, att han säger: Strömmen är min, och jag hafver gjort honom.
And the land of Egypt shall be changed into a waste and ruin, and they shall know that I am the Lord; because he hath said, The stream is mine, and I have made it.
10 Derföre, si, jag vill till dig, och till dina strömmar, och skall göra Egypti land tomt och öde, ifrå det tornet i Sevene, allt intill Ethiopiens gränsor.
Therefore, behold, I will be against thee, and against thy streams, and I will render the land of Egypt a mass of ruins, a waste, and a wilderness, from Migdol to Seveneh even up to the border of Ethiopia.
11 Att deruti hvarken fä eller folk gå eller bo skola, i fyratio år långt.
There shall not pass through it the foot of man, and the foot of beast shall not pass through it, and it shall not be inhabited forty years.
12 Ty jag vill göra Egypti land öde, såsom dess öde gränsor, och låta dess städer öde ligga, såsom andra öde städer, i fyratio år långt; och skall förströ de Egyptier ibland Hedningarna, och förjaga dem bort i landen.
And I will render the land of Egypt a desolate land in the midst of desolated countries, and her cities among the cities that are ruined shall be desolate forty years: and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.
13 Dock detta säger Herren Herren: När de fyratio år ute äro, så skall jag åter samka de Egyptier tillhopa ifrå folken, dit de förströdde varda;
For thus hath said the Lord Eternal, [only] at the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the people whither they shall have been scattered;
14 Och skall omvända Egypti fängelse, och låta dem komma uti Patros land igen, det deras fädernesland är, och skola vara der ett fögo rike.
And I will bring back the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their own origin: and they shall be there an unimportant kingdom.
15 Ty det skall vara litet emot annor rike, och intet mer rådandes vara öfver Hedningarna; och jag skall förminska dem, så att de intet råda skola öfver Hedningarna;
Among the kingdoms it shall be the lowest; neither shall it raise itself any more above the nations: and I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations.
16 Att Israels hus icke skall mer förlåta sig uppå dem, och synda dermed, att de hålla sig intill dem, och skola förnimma, att jag är Herren Herren.
And it shall be no more unto the house of Israel for a dependence, bringing [their] iniquity to remembrance, when they turned after them: and they shall know that I am the Lord Eternal.
17 Och det begaf sig uti sjunde och tjugonde årena, på första dagenom i första månadenom, skedde Herrans ord till mig, och sade:
And it came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first month, on the first of the month, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
18 Du menniskobarn, NebucadNezar, Konungen i Babel, hafver fört sin här med stor mödo inför Tyrus, så att all hufvud voro skallot, och alle axlar försletne; och hans arbete är dock ännu honom eller hans här för Tyrus intet lönt vordet.
Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon hath caused his army to perform a great service against Tyre; every head hath been made bald, and every shoulder hath been rubbed sore: yet no reward hath come to him or to his army from Tyre, for the service that he hath performed against it.
19 Derföre säger Herren Herren alltså: Si, jag skall gifva NebucadNezar, Konungen af Babel, Egypti land, att han skall taga bort allt dess gods, och skall skinna och beröfva det, på det han må gifva sinom här sold;
Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will give unto Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon the land of Egypt; and he shall carry away its multitude, and take its spoil, and plunder its prey: and this shall be the reward for his army.
20 Men Egypti land vill jag gifva honom för sitt arbete, som han derpå gjort hafver; ty de hafva tjent mig, säger Herren Herren.
As his recompense for that which he hath served against it, have I given him the land of Egypt, for that which they had done against me, saith the Lord Eternal.
21 På den tiden skall jag låta växa Israels hus horn, och skall upplåta din mun ibland dem, att de skola, förnimma att jag är Herren.
On that day will I cause to grow a horn for the house of Israel, and unto thee will I open the mouth in the midst of them: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
