Hesekiel 27
1 Och Herrans ord skedde till mig, och sade:
The word of Jehovah came again to me, saying:
2 Du menniskobarn, gör klagogråt öfver Tyrus;
Son of man, take up a lamentation over Tyre,
3 Och säg till Tyrus, som ligger vid hafvet, och handlar med många öars folk: Detta säger Herren Herren: O Tyrus, du hafver sagt: Jag är den aldraskönaste.
and say to Tyre, O thou that didst dwell at the entrance of the sea, the merchant of the nations to many coasts! thus saith the Lord Jehovah: O Tyre, thou hast said, “I am perfect in beauty.”
4 Dina gränsor äro midt i hafvena, och dina byggningsmän hafva tillpyntat dig som aldraskönast.
Thy borders are in the midst of the seas; thy builders have perfected thy beauty.
5 Allt ditt brädeverk hafva de gjort af furoträ af Senir, och låtit föra cedreträ ifrå Libanon, och gjort din mastträ derutaf;
They made all thy ship-boards of cypresses of Senir; they took cedars from Lebanon to make masts for thee.
6 Och dina åror af eketrä ifrå Basan, och dina bänkar af elphenben, och stolar af Chittims öar.
Of oaks of Bashan they made thine oars; thy benches they made of ivory inlaid in cedar from the coasts of the Chittaeans.
7 Ditt segel var af stickadt silke, utaf Egypten, och ditt märke stickadt deruti, och ditt täckelse af gult silke och purpur, ifrå de öar Elisa.
Fine linen with broidered work from Egypt was that which thou didst spread forth to be thy sail; blue and purple from the coasts of Elisha were thy covering.
8 De af Zidon och Arvad voro dine båtsmän, och du hade skickeliga män i Tyro till skeppare.
The inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad were thy rowers; thy wise men, O Tyre, that were in thee, were thy pilots.
9 De äldste och kloke af Gebal måste bygga din skepp; all skepp i hafvena och skeppfolk fann man när dig, de hade sin handel när dig.
The ancients of Gebal and the skilful men thereof were in thee, thy calkers; all the ships of the sea, with their mariners, were in thee, to traffic in thy merchandise.
10 De utaf Persien, Lydien och Libyen voro ditt krigsfolk, hvilke sina sköldar och hjelmar uti dig upphängde, och dermed beprydde dig.
Persians, and Lydians, and Lybians were in thine army, thy men of war; they hung up the shield and helmet in thee; they set forth thy glory.
11 De af Arvad voro i dinom här, allt omkring på dina murar, och väktare på din torn; de hängde allestäds sina sköldar på murarna allt omkring, och gjorde dig så dägeligan.
The men of Arvad and thine own army were upon thy walls round about, and brave warriors were in thy towers; they hung their shields upon thy walls round about; they made thy beauty perfect.
12 Du hade din handel på hafvens, och lät komma allahanda varor, silfver, jern, tenn och bly, in uppå din marknad.
Tarshish trafficked with thee on account of the abundance of all kinds of goods; with silver, iron, tin, and lead they traded in thy fairs.
13 Javan, Thubal och Mesech handlade med dig, och förde trälar och koppar in uppå din marknad.
Javan, Tubal, and Meshech trafficked with thee; the persons of men and vessels of brass they sold in thy market.
14 De af Thogarma förde dig hästar, och vagnar, och mular, in på din marknad.
They of the house of Togarmah traded in thy fairs with horses and horsemen and mules.
15 De af Dedan voro dine köpmän, och du handlade allestäds på öomen; de sålde dig elphenben och hebenträ.
The men of Dedan trafficked with thee; many islands were at hand to thee for trade; they brought thee, for payment, horns of ivory, and ebony-wood.
16 De Syrer hemtade ifrå dig ditt arbete, som du gjorde, och förde rubin, purpur, tapeter, silke och fogel, och christall, in på din marknad.
Syria trafficked with thee by reason of the multitude of the wares of thy making; with carbuncles, purple and embroidered work, and fine linen, and corals, and rubies, they traded in thy fairs.
17 Juda och Israels land handlade ock med dig, och förde dig till din marknad hvete af Minnith, och balsam, och hannog, och oljo, och mastix.
Judah and the land of Israel trafficked with thee; with wheat of Minnith, and pastry, and syrup, and oil, and balm they traded in thy market.
18 Hemtade ock Damascus ditt arbete ifrå dig, och allahanda varo, för starkt vin och kosteliga ull.
Damascus trafficked with thee on account of the multitude of the wares of thy making, on account of the abundance of all kinds of goods, in the wine of Helbon, and in white wool.
19 Dan och Javan, och Meussal förde ock på din marknad jernverk, casia och calmus, att du dermed handla skulle.
Vedan and Javan brought thread to thy market; wrought iron, cassia, and sweet reed were in thy fairs.
20 Dedan handlade med dig med täcken, der man uppå sitter.
Dedan brought cloth for riding, in traffic with thee.
21 Arabien, och alle Förstar af Kedar, handlade med dig, med får, vädrar och bockar.
Arabia and all the princes of Kedar were at hand to traffic with thee; they traded with thee in lambs and rams and goats.
22 De köpmän af Seba och Raema handlade med dig, och förde till din marknad allahanda kosteligit speceri, och ädla stenar och guld.
The merchants of Sheba and Raamah trafficked with thee with all kinds of precious spices, and with all kinds of precious stones, and gold.
23 Haran, och Canne, och Eden, samt med de köpmän af Seba, Assur och Chilmad, voro ock dine köpmän.
Haran, and Canneh, and Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Assyria, and Chilmad,
24 Alle handlade de med dig, med kosteligit kläde, med silkes och stickade mantlar, hvilka de uti kosteliga cedrekistor och väl förvarad, till din marknad förde.
trafficked with thee in splendid apparel, in mantles of blue and embroidered work, in chests of damask bound with cords and made of cedar, in thy market.
25 Men skeppen utaf hafvet voro de yppersta i dinom marknad; alltså äst du mycket rik och härlig vorden midt i hafvena;
The ships of Tarshish were the caravans for thy traffic; and thou wast replenished and made very glorious in the midst of the seas.
26 Och dine skeppmän förde till dig på stort vatten. Men ett östanväder skall sönderbråka dig midt uppå hafvena;
Thy rowers have brought thee into great waters; the east wind hath broken thee in the midst of the seas.
27 Så att dina varor, köpmän, handlare, skaffare, skeppare och skeppbyggare, och dine handterare, och alle dine örligsmän, och allt folket i dig, skola förgås midt uppå hafvena, på den tiden du nederlägges;
Thy riches, and thy fairs, and thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, thy calkers, and the traders in thy merchandise, and all thy men of war within thee, and all thy multitude that is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the midst of the seas in the day of thy ruin.
28 Så att ock hamnerna varda bäfvande, för dina skeppares rops skull.
At the sound of the cry of thy pilots the pastures around thee shall shake.
29 Och alle de som med årom ro, samt med båtsmän och styromän, skola stiga utu skeppen upp på landet;
And all that handle the oar, the mariners, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships; they shall stand upon the land,
30 Och högt ropa öfver dig, bitterliga klaga, och kasta stoft uppå sitt hufvud, och besöla sig i asko.
and shall cause their voice to be heard for thee, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast dust upon their heads, and roll themselves in ashes.
31 De skola raka sig håret af öfver dig, och draga säcker uppå sig, och af hjertat bitterliga gråta öfver dig och sörja.
And they shall make themselves utterly bald for thee, and gird themselves with sackcloth; and they shall weep for thee with bitterness of heart and bitter wailing.
32 Och skola deras barn begråta dig: Ack! ho är någon tid så stilla vorden på hafvena, som du Tyrus?
And in their wailing they shall take up for thee a lamentation, and shall lament over thee, saying: “What city is like Tyre, like the Destroyed in the midst of the sea?
33 Då du dref din handel på hafvena, gjorde du mång land rik; ja, med dina många varor, och dinom köpenskap, gjorde du Konungarna på jordena rika.
When thy wares went forth from the seas, thou didst satisfy many nations; thou didst enrich the kings of the earth with the abundance of thy riches and thy merchandise.
34 Men nu äst du af hafvena stört uti det rätta djupa vattnet, så att din handel och allt ditt folk i dig förgånget är.
Now thou art broken by the seas in the depth of the waters, and thy merchandise and all thy multitude in the midst of thee are fallen.
35 Alle de, som på öarna bo, förskräckas öfver dig, och deras Konungar grufva sig, och se ömkeliga ut.
All the inhabitants of the isles are astonished at thee, and their kings shudder; they are troubled in their countenance.
36 De köpmän i landena hvissla till dig, att du så hastigt förgången äst, och kan intet mer uppkomma.
The merchants among the nations hiss at thee. Thou art a desolation, and shalt exist no more forever.”
