Hesekiel 10
1 Och jag såg, och si, på himmelen, ofvan Cherubims hufvud, var lika som en saphir, och ofvanpå honom var lika som en stol.
As I looked toward the dome that was over the heads of the cherubim; something appeared above them like a sapphire with the appearance of the likeness of a throne.
2 Och han sade till den mannen i linnkläden: Gack in emellan hjulen under Cherub, och tag händerna fulla med glödande kol, som emellan Cherubim äro, och strö dem öfver staden; och han gick in, så att jag såg då han der ingick.
Then Yahweh spoke to the man dressed in linen and said, “Go between the wheels underneath the cherubim, and fill both your hands with fiery coals from between the cherubim and scatter them over the city.” Then the man went in as I watched.
3 Men Cherubim stod på högra sidone i husena och gården vardt innantill full med töckno.
The cherubim stood on the right side of the house when the man went in, and a cloud filled the inner courtyard.
4 Och Herrans härlighet reste sig upp af Cherub, allt intill huströskelen, och huset vardt fullt med töckno, och gården full med sken af Herrans härlighet.
The glory of Yahweh rose up from the cherubim and stood over the threshold of the house. It filled the house with the cloud, and the courtyard was full of the brightness of Yahweh's glory.
5 Och man hörde vingarna af Cherubim döna, allt ut uppå gården, lika som allsmägtigs Guds röst, då han talar.
The sound of the cherubim's wings was heard as far as the outer courtyard, like the voice of God Almighty when he speaks.
6 Och då han hade budit mannenom i de linna kläden, och sagt: Tag eld emellan hjulen under Cherubim; gick han derin, och trädde intill hjulet.
It came about, when God commanded the man dressed in linen and said, “Take fire from between the wheels that are between the cherubim,” the man went in and stood beside a wheel.
7 Och Cherub räckte ut sina hand emellan Cherubim till elden, som var emellan Cherubim, tog deraf, och fick mannenom i linnklädomen i händerna; han tog dervid, och gick ut.
A cherub reached out his hand between the cherubim to the fire that was among the cherubim, and lifted it up and placed it into the hands of the one dressed in linen. The man took it and went back out.
8 Och det syntes på Cherubim, lika som ens menniskos hand under deras vingar.
I saw on the cherubim something like a man's hand under their wings.
9 Och jag såg, och si, fyra hjul stodo när Cherubim, vid hvar Cherub ett hjul; och hjulen voro uppåseende lika som en turkos;
So I looked, and behold! Four wheels were beside the cherubim—one wheel beside each cherub—and the appearance of the wheels was like a beryl stone.
10 Och voro alla fyra, det ena såsom det andra, lika som ett hjul hade varit uti de andro.
Their appearance was the same likeness for all four of them, like a wheel intersecting another wheel.
11 När ett af dem gick så gingo de alla fyra, och de behöfde icke vända sig, när de gingo; utan hvart det främsta gick, dit gingo de efter, och behöfde intet vända sig;
When they moved, they went in any of their four directions, without turning as they went; but whatever direction the head faced, they followed after it without turning as they went.
12 Samt med deras hela kropp, rygg, händer och vingar; och hjulen voro full med ögon allt omkring på alla fyra hjulen.
Their whole body—including their backs, their hands, and their wings—was covered with eyes, and eyes covered the four wheels all around also.
13 Och han kallade hjulen klot, så att jag det hörde.
As I listened, the wheels were called, “Whirling.”
14 Så voro der ock fyra ansigte; det första ansigtet var en Cherub, det andra var en menniska, det tredje ett lejon, det fjerde en örn;
They had four faces each; the first face was the face of a cherub, the second face was the face of a man, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
15 Och Cherubim sväfde i höjdene; det är rätt detsamma djuret, som jag såg vid den älfvena Chebar.
Then the cherubim—these were the living creatures that I had seen by the Kebar Canal—rose up.
16 När Cherubim gingo, så gingo ock hjulen när dem; och då Cherubim fläktade med vingarna, att de skulle lyfta sig upp ifrå jordene, så gingo ock hjulen intet ifrå dem.
Whenever the cherubim moved, the wheels would go beside them, and whenever the cherubim lifted up their wings to rise up from the earth, the wheels did not turn. They still stayed beside them.
17 När de stodo, så stodo desse ock; upplyfte de sig, så upplyfte ock desse sig; ty ett starkt väder var i dem.
When the cherubim stood still, the wheels stood still, and when they rose up, the wheels rose up with them, for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.
18 Och Herrans härlighet gick återigen ifrå huströskelen, och satte sig ofvanpå Cherubim.
Then the glory of Yahweh went out from over the threshold of the house and stood over the cherubim.
19 Då fläktade Cherubim med sina vingar, och upplyfte sig ifrå jordene för min ögon; och då de utgingo, gingo hjulen när dem, och de trädde uti dörrena af Herrans hus östantill, och Israels Guds härlighet var ofvanuppå dem.
The cherubim lifted up their wings and rose from the earth in my sight when they went out, and the wheels did the same beside them. They stood at the eastern entrance to Yahweh's house, and the glory of the God of Israel came upon them from above.
20 Detta är det djuret, som jag såg under Israels Gud, vid den älfvena Chebar, och förmärkte att det voro Cherubim.
These were the living creatures that I had seen below the God of Israel by the Kebar Canal, so I knew that they were cherubim!
21 Och hvartdera hade ju fyra ansigten, och fyra vingar, och under vingomen lika som menniskohänder.
They had four faces each and four wings each, and the likeness of human hands under their wings,
22 Deras ansigte var lika som jag dem såg vid älfvena Chebar; och de gingo rätt framåt.
and the likeness of their faces was like the faces that I had seen in the vision at the Kebar Canal, and each of them went straight ahead.
