2 Samuelsboken 13

1 Och det begaf sig derefter, att Absalom, Davids son, hade en dägelig syster, den het Thamar. Och Amnon, Davids son, fick henne kär.

And it was after thus and [belonged] to Absalom [the] son of David a sister a beautiful and name her [was] Tamar and he loved her Amnon [the] son of David.

2 Och Amnon ställde sig såsom han var sjuk för Thamars sin systers skull; ty hon var en jungfru; och Amnon syntes icke lätt vara att göra henne något.

And it was distress to Amnon to make himself sick for sake of Tamar sister his for [was] a virgin she and it was difficult in [the] eyes of Amnon to do to her anything.

3 Men Amnon hade en vän, han het Jonadab, Simea son, Davids broders; och den samme Jonadab var en ganska snäll man.

And [belonged] to Amnon a friend and name his [was] Jonadab [the] son of Shimeah [the] brother of David and Jonadab [was] a man shrewd very.

4 Han sade till honom: Hvi varder du så mager, du Konungens son, dag frå dag? Må du icke säga mig det? Då sade Amnon till honom: Jag hafver Thamar, mins broders Absaloms syster, kär.

And he said to him why? [are] you thus weak O son of the king in the morning in the morning ¿ not will you tell to me and he said to him Amnon Tamar [the] sister of Absalom brother my I [am] loving.

5 Jonadab sade till honom: Lägg dig på dina säng, och gör dig krank. När då din fader kommer till att besöka dig, så säg till honom: Käre, lät mina syster Thamar komma, att hon gifver mig äta, och reder mat för mig, så att jag ser det, och äter utu hennes hand.

And he said to him Jonadab lie down on bed your and make yourself sick and he will come father your to see you and you will say to him let her come please Tamar sister my and let her cause to eat me food and she will make to eyes my the food so that that I may see and I will eat from hand her.

6 Så lade Amnon sig, och gjorde sig krank. Då nu Konungen kom till att se honom, sade Amnon till Konungen: Käre, låt mina syster Thamar komma, att hon reder för mig ett mos eller tu, och jag må äta af hennes hand.

And he lay down Amnon and he made himself sick and he came the king to see him and he said Amnon to the king let her come please Tamar sister my and let her make cakes to eyes my two cakes so I may eat from hand her.

7 Då sände David efter Thamar i huset, och lät säga henne: Gack i dins broders Amnons hus, och red honom något mat.

And he sent David to Tamar the house towards saying go please [the] house of Amnon brother your and make for him the food.

8 Thamar gick åstad till sins broders Amnons hus, och han låg på sängene; och hon tog en deg, och knådade, och söd det för hans ögon, och kokade honom ett mos;

And she went Tamar [the] house of Amnon brother her and he [was] lying down and she took the dough (and she kneaded [it] *Q(k)*) and she made cakes to eyes his and she cooked the cakes.

9 Och hon tog den rätten, och gaf upp för honom; men han ville icke ätat. Och Amnon sade: Låt alla gå ut ifrå mig; och alle gingo ut.

And she took the pan and she poured out before him and he refused to eat and he said Amnon send out every person from with me and they went out every person from with him.

10 Då sade Amnon till Thamar: Bär maten in i kammaren, att jag må äta af dine hand. Så tog Thamar moset, som hon gjort hade, och bar det till Amnon sin broder i kammaren.

And he said Amnon to Tamar bring the food the chamber so I may eat from hand your and she took Tamar the cakes which she had made and she brought [them] to Amnon brother her the chamber towards.

11 Och som hon hade burit honom moset in, att han skulle äta, fick han henne fatt, och sade till henne: Hit, min syster, och ligg när mig.

And she brought [them] to him to eat and he took hold on her and he said to her come lie with me O sister my.

12 Men hon sade till honom: Icke så, min broder; förkränk mig icke; ty så plägar man icke göra i Israel. Gör icke en sådana galenskap.

And she said to him may [you] not O brother my may not you humble me for not it will be done thus in Israel may not you do the disgraceful folly this.

13 Hvar skulle jag blifva för mina blygds skull? Och du vorde såsom en dåre i Israel. Tala heldre med Konungenom; han nekar mig dig icke.

And I where? will I bring reproach my and you you will be like one of the fools in Israel and now speak please to the king for not he will withhold me from you.

14 Men han ville icke höra henne; utan vardt henne öfvermägtig, och förnedrade henne, och låg när henne.

And not he was willing to listen to voice her and he was strong more than her and he humbled her and he lay with with her.

15 Och han fick ett stort hat till henne, så att hatet vardt större än tillförene kärleken var. Och Amnon sade till henne: Statt upp, och gack.

And he hated her Amnon hatred great very that [was] great the hatred which he hated her more than [the] love which he had loved her and he said to her Amnon get up go.

16 Men hon sade: Detta onda är större, än det andra, som du hafver gjort på mig, att du drifver mig ut. Men han hörde hennes röst intet;

And she said to him may not [the] causes of the evil great this [be] more than [the] other which you have done with me to send away me and not he was willing to listen to her.

17 Utan kallade sin dräng, som hans tjenare var, och sade: Drif denna ut ifrå mig, och stäng igen dörrena efter henne,

And he summoned young man his [who] served him and he said send away please this [woman] from with me the outside towards and lock the door after her.

18 Och hon hade en brokot kjortel uppå; ty sådana kjortlar drogo Konungens döttrar, så länge de voro jungfrur. Och då hans tjenare hade drifvit henne ut, och stängt dörrena igen efter henne,

And [was] on her a long garment of palms and soles for thus they wore [the] daughters of the king the virgins robes and he made go out her servant his the outside and he locked the door after her.

19 Kastade Thamar asko på sitt hufvud, och ref den brokota kjortelen sönder, som hon uppå hade, och lade sina hand på hufvudet, och gick, och ropade.

And she took Tamar ash[es] on head her and [the] long garment of the palms and soles which [was] on her she tore and she put hand her on head her and she went continuously and she cried out.

20 Och hennes broder Absalom sade till henne: Hafver din broder Amnon varit när dig? Nu, min syster, tig stilla; det är din broder, och lägg det ärendet icke så på hjertat. Så blef Thamar ensam i Absaloms sins broders hus.

And he said to her Absalom brother her ¿ Amnon brother your has he been with you and now O sister my keep silent [is] brother your he may not you set heart your to the matter this and she dwelt Tamar a desolate [woman] [the] house of Absalom brother her.

21 Och då Konung David allt detta hörde, tog han det ganska illa vid sig.

And the king David he heard all the things these and it burned to him exceedingly.

22 Men Absalom talade intet vid Amnon, hvarken ondt eller godt; dock hatade Absalom Amnon, derföre att han hans syster Thamar förkränkt hade.

And not he spoke Absalom with Amnon from bad and unto good for he hated Absalom Amnon on [the] thing that he had humbled Tamar sister his.

23 Efter tu år lät Absalom klippa sin får i BaalHazor, som ligger under Ephraim; och Absalom böd all Konungens barn;

And it was to two years days and they belonged shearers to Absalom at Baal Hazor which [is] near Ephraim and he invited Absalom all [the] sons of the king.

24 Och kom till Konungen, och sade: Si, din tjenare hafver fåraklippare. Jag beder att Konungen, samt med sina tjenare, ville gå med sinom tjenare.

And he went Absalom to the king and he said here! please shearers [belong] to servant your let him go please the king and servants his with servant your.

25 Men Konungen sade till Absalom: Icke så, min son; låt oss icke alla gå, att vi icke göra dig tunga; och då han föll hårdt efter honom, ville han dock icke gå, utan välsignade honom.

And he said the king to Absalom may [we] not O son my may not please we go all of us and not we will be heavy on you and he urged him and not he was willing to go and he blessed him.

26 Absalom sade: Skall icke då min broder Amnon gå med oss? Konungen sade till honom: Hvi skulle han gå med dig?

And he said Absalom and not let him go please with us Amnon brother my and he said to him the king why? will he go with you.

27 Då nödgade Absalom honom, så att han lät Amnon och all Konungens barn gå med honom.

And he urged him Absalom and he sent with him Amnon and all [the] sons of the king.

28 Och Absalom böd sina tjenare, och sade: Tager vara uppå, när Amnon varder glad af vinet, och jag säger till eder: Slår Amnon; och dräper honom, att I intet frukten eder, ty jag hafver det befallt eder; varer tröste och frimodige dertill.

And he commanded Absalom servants his saying look please when is good [the] heart of Amnon with the wine and I will say to you strike down Amnon and you will kill him may not you be afraid ¿ In-deed I I have commanded you be strong and become sons of strength.

29 Alltså gjorde Absaloms tjenare Amnon, såsom Absalom dem budit hade. Då stodo all Konungens barn upp, och hvar och en satte sig på sin mula, och flydde.

And they did [the] servants of Absalom to Amnon just as he had commanded Absalom and they arose - all [the] sons of the king and they mounted each on mule his and they fled.

30 Och medan de ännu voro på vägenom, kom rykte för David, att Absalom hade slagit all Konungens barn, så att icke en var öfverblifven af dem.

And it was they [were] on the way and the report it came to David saying he has struck down Absalom all [the] sons of the king and not he is left of them one.

31 Då stod Konungen upp, och ref sin kläder sönder, och lade sig neder på jordena; och alle hans tjenare, som stodo omkring honom, refvo sin kläder sönder.

And he arose the king and he tore garments his and he lay down [the] ground towards and all servants his [were] standing torn of garments.

32 Då svarade Jonadab, Simea son, Davids broders, och sade: Min herre tänke icke att alle drängerne, Konungens barn, äro döde; utan Amnon är allena död; ty Absalom hafver detta haft inne med sig, ifrå den dagen han förkränkte hans syster Thamar.

And he answered Jonadab - [the] son of Shimeah [the] brother of David and he said may not he say lord my all the young men [the] sons of the king they have killed for Amnon to only him he has died for on [the] mouth of Absalom it was determined from [the] day humbled he Tamar sister his.

33 Så tage icke nu min herre Konungen sådant till hjertat, att all Konungens barn äro döde; utan Amnon är allena död.

And therefore may not he set lord my the king to heart his a word saying all [the] sons of the king they have died that (except *Q(K)*) Amnon to only him he has died.

34 Men Absalom flydde; och drängen på vaktene lyfte upp sin ögon, och såg ut; och si, en stor hop folk kom på vägenom, hvar efter den andra, utmed bergssidon.

And he fled Absalom and he lifted up the servant who kept watch (eyes his *Q(K)*) and he saw and there! a people numerous [was] coming from [the] road behind him (at the descent and he went the watchman and he told to the king and he said men I saw [were] going down from direction of Horonaim *X*) from [the] side of the mountain.

35 Då sade Jonadab till Konungen: Si, Konungens barn komma; såsom din tjenare sagt hafver, så är det tillgånget.

And he said Jonadab to the king there! [the] sons of the king they have come according to [the] word of servant your so it has happened.

36 Och då han uttalat hade, si, då kommo Konungens barn, och upphofvo sina röst, och greto. Konungen och alle hans tjenare greto ock ganska fast.

And it was - when finished he to speak and there! [the] sons of the king they came and they lifted up voice their and they wept and also the king and all servants his they wept a weeping a great very.

37 Men Absalom flydde, och drog till Thalmai, Ammihuds son, Konungen i Gesur. Men han jämrade sig öfver sin son alla dagar.

And Absalom he fled and he went to Talmai [the] son of (Ammihud *Q(K)*) [the] king of Geshur and he mourned on son his all the days.

38 Men då Absalom flydd var, och drog till Gesur, var han der i tre år.

And Absalom he fled and he went Geshur and he was there three years.

39 Och Konung David öfvergaf att draga ut emot Absalom; ty han var hugsvalad öfver Amnon, att han död var.

And it [fem] completed David the king to go out against Absalom for he was comforted on Amnon that he had died.
