2 Kungaboken 16

1 Uti sjuttonde årena Pekah, Remalia sons, vardt Ahas Konung, Jothams, Juda Konungs, son.

In year seven-teen year of Pekah [the] son of Remaliah he became king Ahaz [the] son of Jotham [the] king of Judah.

2 Tjugu åra gammal var Ahas, då han vardt Konung, och regerade sexton år i Jerusalem, och gjorde intet det Herranom hans Gud behagade, såsom hans fader David.

[was] a son of Twenty year[s] Ahaz when became king he and six-teen year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and not he did the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh God his like David ancestor his.

3 Ty han vandrade på Israels Konungars väg; dertill lät han sin son gå igenom eld, efter de Hedningars styggelse, hvilka Herren för Israels barn fördrifvit hade.

And he walked in [the] way of [the] kings of Israel and also son his he made pass in the fire according to [the] abominations of the nations which he had dispossessed Yahweh them from before [the] people of Israel.

4 Och han gjorde offer, och rökte på höjderna, och på alla backar, och under all grön trä.

And he sacrificed and he made smoke at the high places and on the hills and under every tree luxuriant.

5 På den tiden drog Rezin, Konungen i Syrien, och Pekah, Remalia son, Israels Konung, upp till Jerusalem till att strida, och belade Ahas; men de kunde icke vinna det.

Then he came up Rezin [the] king of Aram and Pekah [the] son of Remaliah [the] king of Israel Jerusalem for battle and they laid siege on Ahaz and not they were able to do battle.

6 På samma tiden fick Rezin, Konungen i Syrien, Elath igen till Syrien, och dref Judarna utur Elath. Och de Syrier kommo, och bodde deruti, allt intill denna dag.

At the time that he restored Rezin [the] king of Aram Elath to Aram and he cleared out the Jews from Elath (and Edomites *Q(K)*) they came Elath and they have dwelt there until the day this.

7 Men Ahas sände båd till Thiglath Pileser, Konungen i Assyrien, och lät säga honom: Jag är din tjenare, och din son. Kom hitupp, och hjelp mig utu Konungens hand i Syrien, och Israels Konungs, hvilka sig emot mig upprest hafva.

And he sent Ahaz messengers to Tiglath-pileser [the] king of Assyria saying [am] servant your and son your I come up and deliver me from [the] hand of [the] king of Aram and from [the] hand of [the] king of Israel who are rising up on me.

8 Och Ahas tog det silfver och guld, som i Herrans huse och uti Konungshusens fatebur funnet vardt, och sände Konungenom i Assyrien skänker.

And he took Ahaz the silver and the gold which was found [the] house of Yahweh and in [the] treasuries of [the] house of the king and he sent [it] to [the] king of Assyria a gift.

9 Och Konungen i Assyrien hörde honom; och drog upp till Damascon, och vann det; och förde dem bort till Kir, och drap Rezin.

And he listened to him [the] king of Assyria and he came up [the] king of Assyria to Damascus and he seized it and he took into exile it Kir towards and Rezin he put to death.

10 Och Konung Ahas drog emot ThiglathPileser, Konungen i Assyrien, till Damascon. Och då han såg ett altare, som i Damascon var, sände Konung Ahas ett mönster och en efterliknelse till Presten Uria, såsom det gjordt var.

And he went the king Ahaz to meet Tiglath-pileser [the] king of Assyria Damascus and he saw the altar which [was] in Damascus and he sent the king Ahaz to Uriah the priest [the] likeness of the altar and pattern its for all work its.

11 Och Uria Presten byggde ett altare, och gjorde det efter det, som Konung Ahas honom sändt hade ifrå Damascon, tilldess Konung Ahas kom ifrå Damascon.

And he built Uriah the priest the altar according to all that he had sent the king Ahaz from Damascus so he did Uriah the priest until came the king Ahaz from Damascus.

12 Och då Konungen kom ifrå Damascon och såg altaret, offrade han deruppå;

And he came the king from Damascus and he saw the king the altar and he drew near the king to the altar and he offered up on it.

13 Och upptände deruppå sitt bränneoffer, och spisoffer, och göt deruppå sitt drickoffer; och blodet af tackoffrena, som han offrade, lät han stänka på altaret.

And he made smoke burnt offering his and grain offering his and he poured out drink offering his and he sprinkled [the] blood of the peace offerings which [belonged] to him on the altar.

14 Men det kopparaltaret, som för Herranom stod, tog han bort, så att det icke skulle stå emellan altaret och Herrans hus; utan satte det utmed sidona vid altaret norrut.

And the altar of bronze which [was] before Yahweh and he brought near from with [the] face of the house from between the altar and from between [the] house of Yahweh and he put it on [the] side of the altar north-ward.

15 Och Konung Ahas böd Prestenom Uria, och sade: På det stora altaret skall du upptända bränneoffer om morgonen, och spisoffer om aftonen, och Konungens bränneoffer, och hans spisoffer, och allt folkens bränneoffer i landena, samt med deras spisoffer, och drickoffer; och allt blodet af bränneoffret, och af allo andro offer skall du stänka deruppå; men om kopparaltaret vill jag vara förtänkt hvad jag göra skall.

(And he commanded *Q(K)*) the king Ahaz Uriah the priest saying on the altar great make smoke [the] burnt offering of the morning and [the] grain offering of the evening and [the] burnt offering of the king and grain offering his and [the] burnt offering of all [the] people of the land and grain offering their and drink offerings their and all [the] blood of [the] burnt offering and all [the] blood of [the] sacrifice on it you will sprinkle and [the] altar of bronze it will belong to me to consult.

16 Presten Uria gjorde allt det Konung Ahas befallde honom.

And he did Uriah the priest according to all that he commanded the king Ahaz.

17 Och Konung Ahas bröt bort sidorna af stolarna, och hof bort kettlarna deraf, och hafvet hof han utaf de kopparoxar, som voro derunder, och satte det uppå stengolfvet;

And he cut off the king Ahaz the rims of the stands and he removed from on them (*Q(K)*) the laver and the sea he took down from on the ox[en] the bronze which [were] under it and he put it on a pavement of stone.

18 Dertill Sabbathspredikostolen, den de i husena byggt hade. Och Konungsgången utantill vände han i Herrans hus, för Konungens skull i Assyrien.

And ([the] covered structure of *Q(K)*) the sabbath which people had built in the house and [the] entrance of the king outer he removed [the] house of Yahweh because of [the] king of Assyria.

19 Hvad nu mer af Ahas sägandes är? hvad han gjort hafver, si, det är skrifvet i Juda Konungars Chrönico.

And [the] rest of [the] matters of Ahaz which he did ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Judah.

20 Och Ahas afsomnade med sina fäder, och vardt begrafven när sina fäder uti Davids stad; och Hiskia hans son vardt Konung i hans stad.

And he lay down Ahaz with ancestors his and he was buried with ancestors his in [the] city of David and he became king Hezekiah son his in place of him.
