2 Krönikeboken 28

1 Ahas var tjugu åra gammal, då han Konung vardt, och regerade i sexton år i Jerusalem; och gjorde icke det Herranom väl behagade, såsom hans fader David;

[was] a son of Twenty year[s] Ahaz when became king he and six-teen year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and not he did the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh like David ancestor his.

2 Utan han vandrade i Israels Konungars vägar, dertill gjorde han gjuten beläte till Baalim;

And he walked in [the] ways of [the] kings of Israel and also molten images he made for the Baals.

3 Och rökte i Hinnoms barnas dal, och brände sina söner upp med eld, efter Hedningarnas styggelse, hvilka Herren för Israels barn fördrifvit hade;

And he he made smoke in [the] valley of Ben Hinnom and he burned sons his in the fire according to [the] abominations of the nations which he dispossessed Yahweh from before [the] people of Israel.

4 Och offrade, och rökte på höjder, på backar, och under all grön trä.

And he sacrificed and he made smoke at the high places and on the hills and under every tree luxuriant.

5 Derföre gaf Herren hans Gud honom i Konungens hand af Syrien, så att de slogo honom, och förde bort en stor hop af hans fångna, och läto komma till Damascon. Vardt han ock gifven under Israels Konungs hand, så att han gjorde en stor slagtning på honom.

And he gave him Yahweh God his in [the] hand of [the] king of Aram and they defeated him and they took captive from him a group of captives large and they brought [them] Damascus and also in [the] hand of [the] king of Israel he was given and he defeated him a defeat great.

6 Ty Pekah, Remalia son, slog af Juda hundrade och tjugu tusend på en dag, som alle dugelige män voro; derföre, att de öfvergåfvo Herran deras fäders Gud.

And he killed Pekah [the] son of Remaliah among Judah one hundred and twenty thousand in a day one all [were] sons of strength because had forsaken they Yahweh [the] God of ancestors their.

7 Och Sichri, en väldig af Ephraim, drap Maaseja, Konungens son, Asrikam husförstan, och Elkana den yppersta näst Konungenom.

And he killed Zikri - warrior of Ephraim Maaseiah [the] son of the king and Azrikam [the] officer of the house and Elkanah [the] second of the king.

8 Och Israels barn förde bort fångna af deras bröder tuhundradtusend qvinnor, söner och döttrar; och togo dertill stort rof af dem, och förde rofvet till Samarien.

And they took captive [the] people of Israel of relatives their two hundred thousand women sons and daughters and also booty much they plundered from them and they brought the booty to Samaria.

9 Och var sammastäds en Herrans Prophet, som het Obed. Han gick ut emot hären, som till Samarien kom, och sade till dem: Si, efter Herren edra fäders Gud är vred på Juda, hafver han gifvit dem i edra händer; men I hafven så grufveliga slagit dem ihjäl, att det räcker upp till himmelen.

And there he was a prophet of Yahweh [was] Oded name his and he went out before the army which was coming to Samaria and he said to them here! in [the] wrath of Yahweh [the] God of ancestors your towards Judah he gave them in hand your and you have killed among them in a rage [which] to to the heavens it has reached.

10 Nu menen I undertrycka eder Juda barn, och Jerusalem till trälar och trälinnor; är det nu icke skuld när eder emot Herran edar Gud?

And now [the] people of Judah and Jerusalem you [are] saying to subjugate to [male] slaves and to female slaves for yourselves ¿ not certainly you with you [are] guilt to Yahweh God your.

11 Så hörer mig nu och förer fångarna dit igen, dem I bortfört hafven af edra bröder; ty Herrans vrede förgrymmar sig öfver eder.

And therefore listen to me and return the group of captives which you have taken captive from relatives your for [the] burning of [the] anger of Yahweh [is] towards you.

12 Då hofvo sig upp någre de myndigaste af Ephraims barn, Asaria, Johanans son, Berisha, Mesillemoths son, Jehiskia, Sallums son, och Amasa, Handlat son, emot dem som utu hären kommo;

And they rose up men some of [the] leaders of [the] descendants of Ephraim Azariah [the] son of Jehohanan Berekiah [the] son of Meshillemoth and Jechizkiah [the] son of Shallum and Amasa [the] son of Hadlai on the [ones who] were coming from the war.

13 Och sade till dem: I skolen icke hafva dessa fångar hitin; ty I kommen intet annat än skuld på oss för Herranom, på det I skolen desto flera göra våra synder och skulder; här är skuld nog tillförene, och vrede förgrymmar sig öfver Israel.

And they said to them not you must bring the group of captives here for to [the] guilt of Yahweh on us [are] you? saying to add to sins our and to guilt our for much guilt [belongs] to us and burning of anger [is] towards Israel.

14 Då läto de väpnade fångarna och rofvet, inför öfverstarna, och inför hela menighetena.

And he left the [man] equipped the group of captives and the plunder before the commanders and all the assembly.

15 Då stodo de män upp, som nu vid namn nämnde voro, och togo fångarna, och alle de, som ibland dem nakne voro, klädde de, af det röfvadt var. Och då de hade klädt dem, drogo de skor uppå dem, och gåfvo dem mat och dryck, och smorde dem, och förde på åsnar alla dem, som svage voro, och läto komma dem till Jericho palmstaden, till deras bröder; och kommo igen till Samarien.

And they arose the men who they had been designated by names and they took hold on the group of captives and all naked people their they clothed from the booty and they clothed them and they shod them and they fed them and they gave to drink them and they anointed them and they led them on donkeys any [one who] stumbled and they brought them Jericho [the] city of the palm trees beside relatives their and they returned Samaria.

16 På samma tiden sände Konung Ahas till Konungarna af Assur, att de skulle hjelpa honom.

At the time that he sent the king Ahaz to [the] kings of Assyria to help him.

17 Och de Edomeer kommo åter pånytt, och slogo Juda, och förde somliga bort.

And again [the] Edomites they had come and they had defeated Judah and they had taken captive captive[s].

18 Och de Philisteer lade sig neder i de städer på hedene, och sunnan på Juda, och vunno BethSemes, Ajalon, Gederoth och Socho, med dess döttrar, Thimna med dess döttrar, och Gimso med dess döttrar; och bodde deruti.

And [the] Philistines they had made a raid on [the] cities of the Shephelah and the Negev of Judah and they had captured Beth Shemesh and Aijalon and Gederoth and Socoh and daughters its and Timnah and daughters its and Gimzo and daughters its and they dwelt there.

19 Ty Herren plågade Juda för Ahas skull, Israels Konungs, derföre, att han hade blottat Juda, och förtog sig emot Herran.

For he had humbled Yahweh Judah for sake of Ahaz [the] king of Israel for he had allowed lack of restraint in Judah and he had acted unfaithfully unfaithfulness against Yahweh.

20 Och emot honom kom ThiglathPilneser, Konungen af Assur; han belade honom; men han kunde icke vinna honom.

And he came on him Tiglath-pileser [the] king of Assyria and he harassed him and not he strengthened him.

21 Och Ahas tog en del i Herrans hus, och i Konungshusena, och i de öfverstas, det han gaf Konungenom i Assur; men det halp honom intet.

For he had plundered Ahaz [the] house of Yahweh and [the] house of the king and the officials and he had given to [the] king of Assyria and not for help for him.

22 Yttermera, i hans nöd förtog Konung Ahas sig ännu mer emot Herran;

And at [the] time harassed him and he increased to act unfaithfully against Yahweh that the king Ahaz.

23 Och offrade gudomen i Damasco, som honom slagit hade, och sade: Konungens gudar af Syrien hjelpa honom; derföre vill jag offra dem, att de måga ock hjelpa mig; ändock de voro honom och helo Israel till fall.

And he sacrificed to [the] gods of Damascus which had defeated him and he said that [the] gods of [the] kings of Aram they [are] helping them to them I will sacrifice and they will help me and they they became for him causing overthrow his and all Israel.

24 Och Ahas lade tillhopa de tyg i Guds hus, och slog dem sönder, och lyckte igen dörrarna af Herrans hus, och gjorde sig altare i hvarjo vrå i Jerusalem.

And he gathered Ahaz [the] utensils of [the] house of God and he cut up [the] utensils of [the] house of God and he closed [the] doors of [the] house of Yahweh and he made for himself altars at every corner in Jerusalem.

25 Och i Juda städer, både här och der, gjorde han höjder till att röka androm gudom, och rette Herran sina fäders Gud.

And in every city and a city of Judah he made high places to make smoke to gods other and he provoked Yahweh [the] God of ancestors his.

26 Hvad nu mer af honom sägande är, och alla hans vägar, både första och sista, si, det är skrifvet i Juda och Israels Konungars bok.

And [the] rest of matters his and all ways his former and latter there they [are] written on [the] scroll of [the] kings of Judah and Israel.

27 Och Ahas afsomnade med sina fäder, och de begrofvo honom i stadenom i Jerusalem; ty de lade honom icke ibland Israels Konungars grifter. Och hans son Jehiskia vardt Konung i hans stad.

And he lay down Ahaz with ancestors his and people buried him in the city in Jerusalem for not they brought him to [the] graves of [the] kings of Israel and he became king Hezekiah son his in place of him.
