1 Levi barn voro: Gersom, Kehath och Merari.

Sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

2 Kehaths barn voro: Amram, Jizear, Hebron och Ussiel.

And the sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.

3 Amrams barn voro: Aaron, Mose och MirJam. Aarons barn voro: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar och Ithamar.

And sons of Amram: Aaron, and Moses, and [his daughter] Miriam. And sons of Aaron: Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

4 Eleazar födde Pinehas; Pinehas födde Abisua;

Eleazar begot Phinehas, Phinehas begot Abishua,

5 Abisua födde Bukki; Bukki födde Ussi;

and Abishua begot Bukki, and Bukki begot Uzzi,

6 Ussi födde Serahia; Serahia födde Merajoth;

and Uzzi begot Zerahiah, and Zerahiah begot Meraioth,

7 Merajoth födde Amaria; Amaria födde Ahitob;

Meraioth begot Amariah, and Amariah begot Ahitub,

8 Ahitob födde Zadok; Zadok födde Ahimaaz;

and Ahitub begot Zadok, and Zadok begot Ahimaaz,

9 Ahimaaz födde Asaria; Asaria födde Johanan;

and Ahimaaz begot Azariah, and Azariah begot Johanan,

10 Johanan födde Asaria, hvilken Prest var i husena, som Salomo byggde i Jerusalem.

and Johanan begot Azariah—him who acted as priest in the house that Solomon built in Jerusalem.

11 Asaria födde Amaria; Amaria födde Ahitob;

And Azariah begets Amariah, and Amariah begot Ahitub,

12 Ahitob födde Zadok; Zadok födde Sallum;

and Ahitub begot Zadok, and Zadok begot Shallum,

13 Sallum födde Hilkia; Hilkia födde Asaria;

and Shallum begot Hilkiah, and Hilkiah begot Azariah,

14 Asaria födde Seraja; Seraja födde Jozadak;

and Azariah begot Seraiah, and Seraiah begot Jehozadak;

15 Men Jozadak vardt med bortförd, då Herren lät bortföra Juda och Jerusalem fångna af NebucadNezar.

and Jehozadak has gone in YHWH’s removing Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.

16 Så äro nu Levi barn desse: Gersom, Kehath, Merari.

Sons of Levi: Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.

17 Gersoms barn heta alltså: Libni och Simei.

And these [are] names of sons of Gershom: Libni and Shimei.

18 Kehaths barn heta: Amram, Jizear, Hebron och Ussiel.

And sons of Kohath: Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.

19 Merari barn heta: Maheli och Musi. Det äro de Leviters ätter efter deras fäder.

Sons of Merari; Mahli and Mushi. And these [are] families of the Levite according to their fathers;

20 Gersoms son var Libni; hans son var Jahath; hans son var Simma;

of Gershom: Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son,

21 Hans son var Joah; hans son var Iddo; hans son var Serah; hans son var Jeathrai.

Joah his son, Iddo his son, Zerah his son, Jeaterai his son.

22 Men Kehaths son var Amminadab; hans son var Korah; hans son var As sir;

Sons of Kohath: Amminadab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son,

23 Hans son var Elkana; hans son var Ebjasaph; hans son var Assir;

Elkanah his son, and Ebiasaph his son, and Assir his son,

24 Hans son var Tahath; hans son var Uriel; hans son var Ussia; hans son var Saul.

Tahath his son, Uriel his son, Uzziah his son, and Shaul his son.

25 Elkana barn voro: Amasai och Ahimoth.

And sons of Elkanah: Amasai and Ahimoth.

26 Hans son var Elkana; hans son var ElkanaSophai; hans son var Nahath;

Elkanah—sons of Elkanah: Zophai his son, and Nahath his son,

27 Hans son var Eliab; hans son var Jeroham; hans son var Elkana;

Eliab his son, Jeroham his son, Elkanah his son.

28 Hans son var Samuel; hans förstfödde var Vasni och Abija.

And sons of Samuel: the firstborn Vashni, and the second Abijah.

29 Merari son var Maheli; hans son var Libni; hans son var Simei; hans son var Ussa:

Sons of Merari: Mahli, Libni his son, Shimei his son, Uzzah his son,

30 Hans son var Simea; hans son var Haggija; hans son var Asaja.

Shimea his son, Haggiah his son, Asaiah his son.

31 Desse äro de som David satte till att sjunga i Herrans hus, då arken hvilade;

And these [are] they whom David stationed over the parts of the song of the house of YHWH, from the resting of the Ark,

32 Och tjente för boningene och vittnesbördsens tabernakel med sjungande, allt intill Salomo byggde Herrans hus i Jerusalem; och stodo efter deras sätt i deras ämbete.

and they are ministering before the Dwelling Place of the Tent of Meeting, in song, until the building by Solomon of the house of YHWH in Jerusalem; and they stand according to their ordinance over their service.

33 Och desse äro de som stodo, och deras barn: Utaf Kehaths barnom var Heman sångaren, Joels son, Samuels sons,

And these [are] those standing, and their sons, of the sons of the Kohathite: Heman the singer, son of Joel, son of Shemuel,

34 Elkana sons, Jerohams sons, Eliels sons, Thoahs sons,

son of Elkanah, son of Jeroham, son of Eliel, son of Toah,

35 Zuphs sons, Elkana sons, Mahaths sons, Amasai sons,

son of Zuph, son of Elkanah, son of Mahath, son of Amasai,

36 Elkana sons, Joels sons, Asaria sons, Zephania sons,

son of Elkanah, son of Joel, son of Azariah, son of Zephaniah,

37 Thahaths sons, Assirs sons, Ebjasaphs sons, Korahs sons;

son of Tahath, son of Assir, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah,

38 Jizears sons, Kehaths sons, Levi sons, Israels sons.

son of Izhar, son of Kohath, son of Levi, son of Israel.

39 Och hans broder Assaph stod på hans högra sido. Och Assaph var Berechia son, Simea sons,

And his brother Asaph, who is standing on his right—Asaph, son of Berachiah, son of Shimea,

40 Michaels sons, Baaseja sons, Malchija sons,

son of Michael, son of Baaseiah, son of Malchiah,

41 Ethni sons, Serahs sons, Adaja sons,

son of Ethni, son of Zerah, son of Adaiah,

42 Ethans sons, Simma sons, Simei sons,

son of Ethan, son of Zimmah, son of Shimei,

43 Jahaths sons, Gersoms sons, Levi sons.

son of Jahath, son of Gershom, son of Levi.

44 Men deras bröder, Merari barn, stodo på venstra sidone, nämliga Ethan, Kisi son, Abdi sons, Malluchs sons,

And sons of Merari, their brothers, on the left: Ethan son of Kishi, son of Abdi, son of Malluch,

45 Hasabia sons, Amazia sons, Hilkia sons,

son of Hashabiah, son of Amaziah, son of Hilkiah,

46 Amzi sons, Bani sons, Sam ers sons,

son of Amzi, son of Bani, son of Shamer,

47 Maheli sons, Musi sons, Merari sons, Levi sons.

son of Mahli, son of Mushi, son of Merari, son of Levi.

48 Men deras bröder, Leviterna, voro skickade till allehanda ämbete uti Guds hus boning.

And their brothers the Levites are put to all the service of the Dwelling Place of the house of God.

49 Men Aaron och hans söner voro i det ämbetet, som var, upptända på bränneoffrets altare, och på rökaltarena, och till alla sysslor uti det aldrahelgaste, och till att försona Israel, såsom Mose Guds tjenare budit hade.

And Aaron and his sons are making incense on the altar of the burnt-offering, and on the altar of the incense, for all the work of the Holy of Holies, and to make atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses servant of God commanded.

50 Aarons barn äro desse: Eleazar hans son; hans son var Pinehas; hans son var Abisua;

And these [are] sons of Aaron: Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son,

51 Hans son var Bukki; hans son var Ussi; hans son var Serahia;

Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son,

52 Hans son var Merajoth; hans son var Amaria; hans son var Ahitob;

Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son,

53 Hans son var Zadok; hans son var Ahimaaz.

Zadok his son, Ahimaaz his son.

54 Och detta är deras boning och säte uti deras gränsor, nämliga Aarons barnas af de Kehathiters ätt; ty lotten föll till dem.

And these [are] their dwellings, throughout their towers, in their borders, of the sons of Aaron, of the family of the Kohathite, for the lot was theirs;

55 Och de gåfvo dem Hebron i Juda land, och dess förstäder allt omkring.

and they give to them Hebron in the land of Judah and its outskirts around it;

56 Men stadsens mark och dess byar gåfvo de Caleb, Jephunne son.

and they gave the field of the city and its villages to Caleb son of Jephunneh.

57 Så gåfvo de nu Aarons barnom de fristäder, Hebron och Libna, och dess förstäder, Jattir och Esthemoa, och dess förstäder;

And they gave the cities of refuge to the sons of Aaron: Hebron, and Libnah and its outskirts, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa and its outskirts,

58 Hilen och dess förstäder, Debir och dess förstäder;

and Hilen and its outskirts, Debir and its outskirts,

59 Asan och dess förstäder, BethSemes och dess förstäder;

and Ashan and its outskirts, and Beth-Shemesh and its outskirts.

60 Och af BenJamins slägte, Geba och dess förstäder, Alemeth och dess förstäder, Anathoth och dess förstäder; så att all städer i deras ätter voro tretton.

And from the tribe of Benjamin: Geba and its outskirts, and Allemeth and its outskirts, and Anathoth and its outskirts. All their cities [are] thirteen cities among their families.

61 Men dem androm Kehaths barnom deras ätter vordo, af den halfva Manasse slägte, genom lott gifne tio städer.

And to the sons of Kohath, those left of the family of the tribe, from the half of the tribe, the half of Manasseh, by lot, [are] ten cities.

62 Gersoms barnom i deras ätter vordo i Isaschars slägte, och af Assers slägte, och af Naphthali slägte, och af Manasse slägt i Basan, tretton städer gifne.

And to the sons of Gershom, for their families, from the tribe of Issachar, and from the tribe of Asher, and from the tribe of Naphtali, and from the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, [are] thirteen cities.

63 Merari barnom i deras ätter vordo genom lott gifne, af Rubens slägte, och af Gads slägte, och af Sebulons slägte, tolf städer;

To the sons of Merari, for their families, from the tribe of Reuben, and from the tribe of Gad, and from the tribe of Zebulun, by lot, [are] twelve cities.

64 Och Israels barn gåfvo också Leviterna städer, med deras förstäder;

And the sons of Israel give the cities and their outskirts to the Levites.

65 Nämliga genom lott, af Juda barns slägte, och af Simeons barnas slägte, och BenJamins barnas slägte, de städer, som de vid namn före sade.

And they give by lot from the tribe of the sons of Judah, and from the tribe of the sons of Simeon, and from the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, these cities which they call by name;

66 Men Kehaths barnas ätt kommo städer till, af Ephraims slägtes gränsor.

and some of the families of the sons of Kohath have cities of their border from the tribe of Ephraim;

67 Så gåfvo de nu de andra Kehaths barnas ätt de fristäder, Sechem på Ephraims berg och dess förstäder, Geser och dess förstäder,

and they give the cities of refuge to them: Shechem and its outskirts in the hill-country of Ephraim, and Gezer and its outskirts,

68 Jokmeam och dess förstäder, BethHoron och dess förstäder;

and Jokmeam and its outskirts, and Beth-Horan and its outskirts,

69 Ajalon och dess förstäder, GathRimmon och dess förstäder;

and Aijalon and its outskirts, and Gath-Rimmon and its outskirts;

70 Dertill, af den halfva slägtene Manasse, Aner och dess förstäder, Bileam och dess förstäder.

and from the half tribe of Manasseh: Aner and its outskirts, and Bileam and its outskirts, for the family of the sons of Kohath who are left.

71 Men Gersoms barnom gåfvo de, af de halfva Manasse slägtes ätt, Golan i Basa och dess förstäder, Astaroth och dess förstäder;

To the sons of Gershom from the family of the half of the tribe of Manasseh: Golan in Bashan and its outskirts, and Ashtaroth and its outskirts;

72 Af Isaschars slägte, Kades och dess förstäder, Daberath och dess förstäder;

and from the tribe of Issachar: Kedesh and its outskirts, Daberath and its outskirts,

73 Ramoth och dess förstäder, Anem och dess förstäder;

and Ramoth and its outskirts, and Anem and its outskirts;

74 Af Assers slägte, Masal och dess förstäder, Abdon och dess förstäder;

and from the tribe of Asher: Mashal and its outskirts, and Abdon and its outskirts,

75 Hukok och dess förstäder, Rehob och dess förstäder;

and Hukok and its outskirts, and Rehob and its outskirts;

76 Af Naphthali slägte, Kedes i Galilea och dess förstäder, Hammon och dess förstäder, Kiriathaim och dess förstäder;

and from the tribe of Naphtali: Kedesh in Galilee and its outskirts, and Hammon and its outskirts, and Kirjathaim and its outskirts.

77 Dem androm Merari barnom gåfvo de, af Sebulons slägte, Rimmono och dess förstäder, Thabor och dess förstäder;

To the sons of Merari who are left, from the tribe of Zebulun: Rimmon and its outskirts, Tabor and its outskirts;

78 Och på hinsidon Jordan tvärsöfver Jericho österut vid Jordan: Af Ruben slägte, Bezer i öknene och dess förstäder Jahzah och dess förstäder,

and from beyond the Jordan by Jericho, at the east of the Jordan, from the tribe of Reuben: Bezer in the wilderness and its outskirts, and Jahzah and its outskirts,

79 Kedemoth och dess förstäder, Mephaath och dess förstäder;

and Kedemoth and its outskirts, and Mephaath and its outskirts;

80 Af Gads slägte, Ramoth i Gilead och dess förstäder, Mahanaim och dess förstäder,

and from the tribe of Gad: Ramoth in Gilead and its outskirts, and Mahanaim and its outskirts,

81 Hesbon och dess förstäder, Jaeser och dess förstäder.

and Heshbon and its outskirts, and Jazer and its outskirts.
