5 Japhets barn äro desse: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Thubal, Mesech, Thiras.
The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
6 Men Gomers barn äro: Ascenas, Riphath, Thogarma.
And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Diphath, and Togarmah.
7 Javans barn äro: Elisa, Tharsisa, Chittim, Dodam, Dodanim.
And the sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim.
8 Hams barn äro: Chus, Mizraim, Phut, Canaan.
The sons of Ham: Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
9 Men Chus barn äro desse: Seda, Havila, Sabtha, Raema, Sabtecha, Raema barn äro: Seba och Dedan.
And the sons of Cush: Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raama, and Sabteca. And the sons of Raama: Sheba, and Dedan.
10 Men Chus födde Nimrod. Han begynte vara väldig på jordene.
And Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one in the earth.

18 Men Arphachsad födde Salah; Salah födde Eber.

19 Men Eber vordo födde två söner; den ene het Peleg, derföre, att i hans tid vardt landet deladt; och hans broder het Jaketan.
And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
20 Jaketan födde Almodad, Saleph, Hazarmaveth, Jarah,
And Joktan begot Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah;
21 Hadoram, Usal, Dikela,
and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah;
22 Ebal, Abimael, Seba,
and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba;
23 Ophir, Havila och Jobab. Desse äro alle Jaketans barn.

32 Men Keturas barn, Abrahams frillos: hon födde Simran, Jaksan, Medan, Midian, Jisbak, Suah. Och Jaksans barn äro: Seba och Dedan.
And the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan: Sheba, and Dedan.
33 Och Midians barn äro: Epha, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, Eldaa. Desse äro alle Keturas barn.
And the sons of Midian: Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the sons of Keturah.
34 Abraham födde Isaac. Isaacs barn äro: Esau och Israel.
And Abraham begot Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau, and Israel.
35 Esau barn äro: Eliphas, Reguel, Jeus, Jaelam, Korah.
The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jalam and Korah.
36 Eliphas barn äro: Teman, Omar, Zephi, Gatham, Kenas, Thimna, Amalek.
The sons of Eliphaz: Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
37 Reguels barn äro: Nahath, Serah, Samma och Missa.
The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
38 Seirs barn äro: Lotan, Sobal, Zibeon, Ana, Dison, Ezer, Disan.
And the sons of Seir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
39 Lotans barn äro: Hori, Homam; och Thimna var Lotans syster.
And the sons of Lotan: Hori, and Homam; and Timna was Lotan's sister.
40 Sobals barn äro: Aljan, Manahat, Ebal, Zephi, Onam. Zibeons barn: Aja och Ana.
The sons of Shobal: Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon: Aiah, and Anah.
41 Ana barn äro: Dison. Disons barn äro: Hamran, Esban, Jithran, Cheran.
The sons of Anah: Dishon. And the sons of Dishon: Hamran, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
42 Ezers barn äro: Bilhan, Saavan, Jaachan. Disans barn äro: Uz och Aran.
The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zaavan, Jaakan. The sons of Dishan: Uz, and Aran.
43 Desse äro de Konungar, som regerade uti Edoms land, förra än någor Konung regerade ibland Israels barn: Bela, Geors son; och hans stad het Dinhaba.
Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before their reigned any king over the children of Israel: Bela the son of Beor; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
44 Och då Bela blef död, vardt Konung i hans stad Jobab, Serahs son af Bozra.
And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
45 Då Jobab blef död, vardt Konung i hans stad Husam, utaf de Themaniters land.
And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
46 Då Husam blef död, vardt Konung i hans stad Hadad, Badads son, hvilken slog de Midianiter på de Moabiters mark; och hans stad het Avith.
And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead; and the name of his city was Avith.
47 Då Hadad blef död, vardt Konung i hans stad Samla af Masreka.
And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
48 Då Samla blef död, vardt Konung i hans stad Saul af Rehoboth vid älfvena.
And Samlah died, and Shaul of Rehoboth by the River reigned in his stead.
49 Då Saul blef död, vardt Konung i hans stad Baalhanan, Achbors son.
And Shaul died, and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
50 Då Baalhanan blef död, vardt Konung i hans stad Hadad; och hans stad het Pagi; och hans hustru het Mehetabeel, Matreds dotter, och Mesahabs dotter.
And Baal-hanan died, and Hadad reigned in his stead; and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
51 Då Hadad blef död, vordo Förstar i Edom: den Försten Thimna, den Försten Alja, den Försten Jetheth,
And Hadad died. And the chiefs of Edom were: the chief of Timna, the chief of Alvah, the chief of Jetheth;
52 Den Försten Aholibama, den Försten Ela, den Försten Pinon,
the chief of Oholibamah, the chief of Elah, the chief of Pinon;
53 Den Försten Kenas, den Försten Theman, den Försten Mibzar,
the chief of Kenaz, the chief of Teman, the chief of Mibzar;
54 Den Försten Magdiel, den Försten Iram. Desse äro de Förstar i Edom.
