Waefeso 1
1 Mimi Paulo, mtume wa Kristo Yesu kwa mapenzi ya Mungu, nawaandikia ninyi watu wa Mungu huko Efeso, mlio waaminifu katika kuungana na Kristo Yesu.
PAUL, a legate of Jesus the Messiah by the pleasure of God, to them who are at Ephesus, sanctified, and believing in Jesus the Messiah:
2 Nawatakieni neema na amani kutoka kwa Mungu Baba yetu na kwa Bwana Yesu Kristo.
Peace be with you, and grace from God our Father, and from our Lord Jesus the Messiah.
3 Atukuzwe Mungu na Baba wa Bwana wetu Yesu Kristo! Maana, katika kuungana na Kristo ametubariki kwa kutujalia zawadi zote za kiroho mbinguni.
Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, who hath blessed us with all blessings of the Spirit in heaven, by the Messiah:
4 Kabla ya kuumbwa ulimwengu, Mungu alituteua tuwe wake katika kuungana na Kristo ili tuwe watakatifu na bila hitilafu mbele yake. Kwa sababu ya upendo wake,
according as he had previously chosen us in him, before the foundation of the world, that we might be holy and without blame before him; and, in love, predestinated us for himself;
5 Mungu alikuwa ameazimia tangu zamani kutuleta kwake kama watoto wake kwa njia ya Yesu Kristo. Ndivyo alivyopenda na kunuia.
and adopted us for sons, in Jesus the Messiah, as was agreeable to his pleasure:
6 Basi, tumsifu Mungu kwa sababu ya neema yake tukufu katika Mwanae mpenzi!
that the glory of his grace might be glorified, which he poured upon us by his Beloved One;
7 Maana kwa damu yake Kristo sisi tunakombolewa, yaani dhambi zetu zinaondolewa. Ndivyo ulivyo ukuu wa neema yake
by whom we have redemption, and the forgiveness of sins by his blood, according to the riches of his grace,
8 aliotukirimia bila kipimo! Kwa hekima na ujuzi wake wote
which hath abounded in us, in all wisdom and all spiritual understanding.
9 Mungu alitekeleza kile alichonuia, akatujulisha mpango wake uliofichika, ambao alikuwa ameazimia kuutekeleza kwa njia ya Kristo.
And he hath made us know the mystery of his pleasure, which he had before determined in himself to accomplish,
10 Mpango huo ambao angeutimiza wakati utimiapo ni kukusanya pamoja viumbe vyote, kila kitu mbinguni na duniani, chini ya Kristo.
in the dispensation of the fullness of times; that all things might again be made new in the Messiah, things in heaven and things on earth.
11 Kila kitu hufanywa kufuatana na mpango na uamuzi wa Mungu; naye Mungu ametuteua sisi tuwe watu wake kwa mapenzi yake katika kuungana na Kristo, kufuatana na azimio alilofanya tangu mwanzo.
And in him we are elected, according as he predestined us and willed, who worketh all things according to the counsel of his pleasure;
12 Basi, sisi tuliotangulia kumtumainia Kristo tunapaswa kuusifu utukufu wa Mungu!
that we should be they who first hoped in the Messiah, to the honor of his glory.
13 Nanyi pia watu wa mataifa mengine, mliusikia ujumbe wa kweli yaani Habari Njema iliyowaletea wokovu, mkamwamini Kristo; naye Mungu, ili kuonyesha kuwa ninyi ni wake, akawapiga mhuri kwa kuwapeni yule Roho Mtakatifu aliyetuahidia.
In whom, ye also have heard the word of truth, which is the gospel of your life, and have believed in him; and have been sealed with the Holy Spirit, who was promised,
14 Huyu Roho ni dhamana ya kurithi yote yale Mungu aliyowaahidia watu wake, na jambo hili latuhakikishia kwamba Mungu atawakomboa kabisa wote walio wake. Tuusifu utukufu wake!
who is the earnest of our inheritance, until the redemption of them that are alive, and for the praise of his glory.
15 Kwa sababu hiyo, tangu niliposikia juu ya imani yenu kwa Bwana Yesu na mapendo yenu kwa watu wa Mungu,
Therefore, lo I also, since I heard of your faith in our Lord Jesus the Messiah, and of your love towards all the saints,
16 sijaacha kamwe kumshukuru Mungu kwa ajili yenu. Ninawakumbuka katika sala zangu
cease not to give thanks on your account, and to remember you in my prayers;
17 ili Mungu wa Bwana wetu Yesu Kristo Baba mtukufu, awajalieni Roho wake atakayewapa hekima na kuwafunulieni Mungu mpate kumjua.
that the God of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, the Father of glory, may give to you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation, in the recognition of him;
18 Namwomba Mungu aifunue mioyo yenu iweze kuuona mwanga wake, mpate kutambua lile tumaini alilowaitieni na utukufu mkuu wa zawadi alizowawekea watu wake,
and that the eyes of your hearts may be enlightened, so that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints;
19 mpate kutambua jinsi uwezo wake ulivyo mkuu mno kwa ajili yetu sisi tunaoamini. Uwezo huo unaofanya kazi ndani yetu, ni sawa na nguvu ile kuu mno
and what is the excellence of the majesty of his power in us who believe; according to the efficiency of the strength of his power,
20 aliyomfufua nayo Kristo kutoka wafu, akamketisha kulia kwake mbinguni.
which he put forth in the Messiah, and raised him from the dead, and seated him at his right hand in heaven,
21 Huko, Kristo anatawala juu ya kila tawala, mamlaka, enzi na ukuu; anatawala juu ya kila cheo kiwezacho kutajwa katika ulimwengu huu na katika ulimwengu ujao. (aiōn g165)
high above all principalities, and authorities, and powers, and lordships, and above every name that is named, not only in this world but also in that to come: (aiōn g165)
22 Mungu ameweka vitu vyote chini ya miguu yake, akamkabidhi kwa kanisa akiwa mkuu wa vitu vyote.
and he hath subjected all things under his feet; and hath given him who is high over all, to be the head of the church;
23 Kanisa ni mwili wa Kristo, na ukamilifu wake yeye anayekamilisha vitu vyote kila mahali.
which is his body, and the fullness of him who filleth all in all:
