2 Wakorintho 5
1 Maana tunajua kwamba hema hii ambayo ndani yake tunaishi sasa hapa duniani, yaani mwili wetu, itakapong'olewa, Mungu atatupa makao mengine mbinguni, nyumba ya milele isiyotengenezwa kwa mikono. (aiōnios g166)
For we know that, if our earthly tent-habitation be destroyed, we have a building provided by God, a house not made with hands, everlasting, in the heavens. (aiōnios g166)
2 Na sasa, katika hali hii, tunaugua, tukitazamia kwa hamu kubwa kuvikwa makao yetu yaliyo mbinguni.
For while in this we groan, longing to be clothed upon with our habitation which is from heaven;
3 Naam, tunapaswa kuvikwa namna hiyo ili tusije tukasimama mbele ya Mungu bila vazi.
since, indeed, when we have put off our present garment, we shall not be found naked.
4 Tukiwa bado katika hema hii ya duniani, tunalia kwa kukandamizwa; si kwamba tunataka kuuvua mwili huu wa kufa, ila tuna hamu ya kuvalishwa ule usiokufa, ili kile chenye kufa kimezwe kabisa na uhai.
For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened; inasmuch as we do not desire to be unclothed, but to be clothed upon, that mortality may be swallowed up by life.
5 Mungu mwenyewe alitutayarishia mabadiliko hayo, naye ametupa Roho wake awe dhamana ya yote aliyotuwekea.
Now he that hath prepared us for this very thing is God; who also gave to us the Spirit as the pledge.
6 Tuko imara daima. Tunajua kwamba kuishi katika mwili huu tu ni kukaa mbali na Bwana.
We have courage, therefore, always, and know that while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord;
7 Maana tunaishi kwa imani, na si kwa kuona.
for we walk by faith, not by sight; but we have courage,
8 Lakini tuko imara na tungependelea hata kuyahama makao haya, tukahamie kwa Bwana.
and are well pleased rather to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord.
9 Lakini jambo la maana zaidi, tunataka kumpendeza, iwe tunaishi hapa duniani au huko.
Wherefore we also strive that, whether at home or absent, we may be approved by him.
10 Maana sote ni lazima tusimame mbele ya kiti cha hukumu cha Kristo, ili kila mmoja apokee anayostahili kwa matendo aliyoyafanya wakati alipokuwa anaishi duniani, mema au mabaya.
For we must all be made manifest before the judgment-seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in his body, according to what he did, whether good or bad.
11 Basi, sisi tunajua umuhimu wa kumcha Bwana, na hivyo tunajitahidi kuwavuta watu. Mungu anatujua waziwazi, nami natumaini kwamba nanyi pia mnatujua kinaganaga.
Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade men; but to God we have been made manifest, and I hope have been made manifest in your consciences also.
12 Si kwamba tunajaribu tena kujipendekeza kwenu, ila tunataka kuwapa ninyi sababu zetu za kuona fahari juu yenu, ili mpate kuwajibu wale wanaojivunia hali yao ya nje zaidi kuliko jinsi walivyo moyoni.
For we are not again commending ourselves to you, but giving you occasion to glory on our behalf; that ye may have somewhat to answer those who glory in outward appearance, and not in heart.
13 Ikiwa tumeonekana kuwa wendawazimu, hiyo ni kwa ajili ya Mungu; na ikiwa tunazo akili zetu timamu, hiyo ni kwa faida yenu.
For whether we were beside ourselves, it was for God; or whether we are in our sound mind, it is for you.
14 Maana mapendo ya Kristo yanatumiliki sisi ambao tunatambua ya kwamba mtu mmoja tu amekufa kwa ajili ya wote, na hiyo ina maana kwamba wote wanashiriki kifo chake.
For the love of Christ constraineth us, because we thus judged, that if one died for all, then all died;
15 Alikufa kwa ajili ya watu wote, ili wanaoishi wasiishi kwa ajili yao wenyewe, bali kwa ajili yake yeye aliyekufa, akafufuliwa kwa ajili yao.
and he died for all, that they who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who died for their sakes, and rose again.
16 Basi, tangu sasa, sisi hatumpimi mtu yeyote kibinadamu. Hata kama kwa wakati mmoja tulimpima Kristo kibinadamu, sasa si hivyo tena.
So that we henceforth know no one according to the flesh; and if we have even known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we no longer know him.
17 Mtu yeyote akiungana na Kristo huwa kiumbe kipya, mambo ya kale yamepita, hali mpya imefika.
Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
18 Yote ni kazi ya Mungu mwenye kutupatanisha sisi naye kwa njia ya Kristo, akatupa nasi jukumu la kuwapatanisha watu naye.
And all things are from God, who reconciled us to himself by Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 Ndiyo kusema: Mungu, amekuwa akiupatanisha ulimwengu naye kwa njia ya Kristo, bila kutia maanani dhambi zao binadamu. Yeye ametupa ujumbe kuhusu kuwapatanisha watu naye.
seeing that in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.
20 Basi, sisi tunamwakilisha Kristo, naye Mungu mwenyewe anatutumia sisi kuwasihi ninyi. Tunawaombeni kwa niaba ya Kristo, mpatanishwe na Mungu.
We then are ambassadors for Christ; as though God were exhorting you by us, in behalf of Christ we entreat you, Be reconciled to God.
21 Kristo hakuwa na dhambi, lakini Mungu alimfanya ahusike na dhambi kwa ajili yetu, ili sisi kwa kuungana naye, tupate kuushiriki uadilifu wake Mungu.
Him, who knew not sin, he made sin for us, that we might become God's righteousness in him.
