Warumi 8
1 Kwa hiyo basi hakuna hukumu ya adhabu juu yao walio katika Kristo Yesu.
[There is] therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
2 Kwa kuwa kanuni ya Roho wa uzima ule ulio katika Kristo Yesu imenifanya mimi kuwa huru mbali na kanuni ya dhambi na mauti.
For the law of the Spirit of life, in Christ Jesus, hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 Kwa maana kile ambacho sheria ilishindwa kufanya kwa sababu ilikuwa dhaifu katika mwili, Mungu alifanya. Alimtuma Mwana wake wa pekee kwa mfano wa mwili wa dhambi awe sadaka ya dhambi, na akaihukumu dhambi katika mwili.
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 Alifanya hivi ili maagizo ya sheria yatimilizwe ndani yetu, sisi tusioenenda kwa kufuata mambo ya mwili, bali kwa kufuata mambo ya Roho.
That the righteousness of the law may be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
5 Wale waufuatao mwili huyafikiri mambo ya mwili, lakini wale waifuatao Roho huyafikiri mambo ya Roho.
For they that are according to the flesh, do mind the things of the flesh: but they that are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
6 Kwa kuwa nia ya mwili ni mauti, bali nia ya Roho ni uzima na amani.
For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace:
7 Hii ni kwa sababu ile nia ya mwili ni uadui juu ya Mungu, kwa maana haitii sheria ya Mungu, wala haiwezi kuitii.
Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 Wale waufuatao mwili hawawezi kumpendeza Mungu.
So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 Hata hivyo, hampo katika mwili bali katika Roho, kama ni kweli kwamba Roho wa Mungu huishi ndani yenu. Lakini kama mtu hana Roho wa Kristo, yeye si wake.
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. Now if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.
10 Kama Kristo yumo ndani yenu, mwili umekufa kwa mambo ya dhambi, bali roho ni hai kwa mambo ya haki.
And if Christ [is] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness.
11 Ikiwa Roho wa yule aliyemfufua Yesu kutoka wafu huishi ndani yenu, yeye yule aliyemfufua Kristo kutoka katika wafu ataipa pia miili yenu ya mauti uhai kwa njia ya Roho wake, aishie ndani yenu.
But if the Spirit of him that raised Jesus from the dead dwelleth in you, he that raised Christ from the dead will also revive your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Hivyo basi, ndugu zangu, sisi tu wadeni, lakini si kwa mwili kwamba tuishi kwa jinsi ya mwili.
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.
13 Maana ikiwa mnaishi kwa jinsi ya mwili, mpo karibu kufa, lakini ikiwa kwa Roho mnayafisha matendo ya mwili, nanyi mtaishi.
For if ye live according to the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 Maana kama ambavyo wengi wanaongozwa na Roho wa Mungu, hawa ni wana wa Mungu.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 Kwa kuwa hamkupokea roho wa utumwa tena hata muogope. Badala yake, mlipokea roho ya kufanywa kuwa wana, ambayo kwayo tunalia, “Abba, Baba!”
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry, Abba, Father.
16 Roho mwenyewe hushuhudia pamoja na roho zetu ya kuwa tu watoto wa Mungu.
The Spirit itself testifieth with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 Ikiwa tu watoto, basi tu warithi pia, warithi wa Mungu. Na sisi tu warithi pamoja na Kristo, ikiwa kwa kweli tunateseka na yeye ili tupate kutukuzwa pamoja naye.
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if we suffer with [him], that we may be glorified together.
18 Kwa kuwa nayahesabu mateso ya wakati huu kuwa si kitu nikilinganisha na utukufu utakaofunuliwa kwetu.
For I reckon, that the sufferings of this present time [are] not worthy [to be compared] with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 Kwa maana viumbe vyote pia vinatazamia kwa shauku nyingi kufunuliwa kwa wana wa Mungu.
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 Kwa maana uumbaji pia ulitiishwa chini ya ubatili, si kwa hiari yake, ila kwa sababu yake yeye aliyevitiisha. Ni katika tumaini
For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected [the same] in hope:
21 kwamba uumbaji wenyewe nao utawekwa huru na kutolewa katika utumwa wa uharibifu, na kuingizwa katika uhuru wa utukufu wa watoto wa Mungu.
Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption, into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 Kwa maana twajua ya kuwa uumbaji nao pia unaugua na kuteseka kwa uchungu pamoja hata sasa.
For we know that the whole creation groaneth, and travaileth in pain together until now:
23 Si hivyo tu, ila na sisi wenyewe tulio na malimbuko ya Roho - sisi pia tunaugua katika nafsi zetu, tukisubiri kufanywa wana, yaani ukombozi wa miili yetu.
And not only [they], but ourselves also, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, [to wit], the redemption of our body.
24 Kwa maana ni kwa taraja hili tuliokolewa. Lakini kitu kilichotarajiwa kikionekana hakuna taraja tena, kwa maana ni nani anayekitarajia kile akionacho?
For we are saved by hope: But hope that is seen, is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 Bali tukikitarajia kitu tusichokiona, twakingojea kwa saburi.
But if we hope for what we see not, [then] with patience we wait for [it].
26 Kwa jinsi iyo hiyo, Roho naye hutusaidia katika udhaifu wetu. Kwa maana hatujui kuomba jinsi itupasavyo, lakini Roho mwenyewe hutuombea kwa kuugua kusikoweza kutamkwa.
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 Na yeye aichunguzaye mioyo huijua akili ya Roho, kwa sababu huomba kwa niaba yao walioamini kulingana na mapenzi ya Mungu.
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints, according to [the will of] God.
28 Nasi twajua ya kuwa kwa wote wampendao Mungu, yeye hufanya mambo yote pamoja kwa wema, kwa wale wote walioitwa kwa kusudi lake.
And we know that all things work together for good, to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.
29 Kwa sababu wale wote aliowajua tangu asili, pia aliwachagua tangu asili wafananishwe na mfano wa Mwana wake, ili yeye awe mzaliwa wa kwanza miogoni mwa ndugu wengi.
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the first-born among many brethren.
30 Na wale aliowachagua tangu asili, hao aliwaita pia. Na wale aliowaita, hao aliwahesabia haki. Na wale aliowahesabia haki, hao pia akawatukuza.
Moreover, whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 Tuseme nini basi juu ya mambo haya? Mungu akiwa upande wetu, ni nani aliye juu yetu?
What shall we then say to these things? If God [is] for us, who [can be] against us?
32 Yeye asiyemwachilia mwana wake mwenyewe bali alimtoa kwa ajili yetu sisi sote atakosaje kutukirimia na mambo yote pamoja naye?
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Ni nani atakayewashitaki wateule wa Mungu? Mungu ndiye mwenye kuwahesabia haki.
Who will lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? [It is] God that justifieth:
34 Ni nani atakayewahukumia adhabu? Kristo Yesu ndiye aliyekufa kwa ajili yetu, na zaidi ya hayo, yeye pia alifufuliwa. Naye anatawala pamoja na Mungu mahali pa heshima, na tena ndiye anayetuombea sisi.
Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, or rather that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Ni nani atakayetutenga na upendo wa Kristo? Dhiki, au shida, au mateso, au njaa, au uchi, au hatari, au upanga?
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 Kama ilivyoandikwa, “Kwa faida yako tunauawa mchana kutwa. Tulihesabiwa kama kondoo wa kuchinjwa.”
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Katika mambo haya yote sisi tu zaidi ya washindi katika yeye aliyetupenda.
But in all these things we are more than conquerors, through him that loved us.
38 Kwa maana nimekwisha kushawishika kwamba wala mauti, wala uzima, wala malaika, wala mamlaka, wala vitu vilivyopo, wala vitu vijavyo, wala nguvu,
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 wala yaliyo juu, wala yaliyo chini, wala kiumbe kinginecho chote, hakitaweza kututenga na upendo wa Mungu, ambaye ni Kristo Yesu Bwana wetu.
Nor hight, nor depth, nor any other creature, will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
