1 Kisha malaika akanionesha mto wa maji ya uzima, maji yalikuwa ya mng'ao kama wa bilauri. Yalikuwa yakitiririka kutoka katika kiti cha enzi cha Mungu na cha Mwana Kondoo
Then he showed me the river of the Water of Life, bright as crystal, issuing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 Kupitia katikati ya mtaa wa mji. Katika kila pembe ya mto palikuwa na mti wa uzima, unaozaa aina kumi na mbili za matunda, na huzaa matunda kila mwezi. Majani ya mti ni kwa ajili ya uponyaji wa mataifa.
On either side of the river, midway between it and the main street of the city, was the Tree of Life. It produced twelve kinds of fruit, yielding a fresh crop month by month, and the leaves of the tree served as medicine for the nations.
3 Wala hapatakuwa na laana yoyote tena. Kiti cha enzi cha Mungu na cha Mwana Kondoo kitakuwemo ndani ya mji, na watumishi wake watamtumikia.
"In future there will be no curse," he said, "but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in that city. And His servants will render Him holy service and will see His face,
4 Watamuona uso wake, na jina lake litakuwa juu ya vipaji vya nyuso zao.
and His name will be on their foreheads.
5 Hapatakuwa na usiku tena; wala hapatakuwa na hitaji la mwanga wa taa au jua kwa sababu Bwana Mungu ataangaza juu yao. Nao watatawala milele na milele. (aiōn g165)
And there will be no night there; and they have no need of lamplight or sunlight, for the Lord God will shine upon them, and they will be kings until the Ages of the Ages." (aiōn g165)
6 Malaika akaniambia, “Maneno haya ni ya kuaminika na kweli. Bwana Mungu wa roho za manabii alimtuma malaika wake kuwaonesha watumishi wake kitakachotokea hivi karibuni.”
And he said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true; and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the Prophets, sent His angel to make known to His servants the things which must soon happen.
7 “Tazama! Ninakuja upesi! Amebarikiwa yeye anayeyatii maneno ya unabii wa kitabu hiki.”
'I am coming quickly.' Blessed is he who is mindful of the predictions contained in this book."
8 Mimi, Yohana, ndiye niliyesikia na kuona mambo haya. Nilipoyasikia na kuyaona, nilianguka chini mwenyewe mbele ya miguu ya malaika kumwabudu, malaika aliyenionesha mambo haya.
I John heard and saw these things; and when I had heard and seen them, I fell at the feet of the angel who was showing me them--to worship him.
9 Akaniambia, “Usifanye hivyo! Mimi ni mtumishi mwenzako, pamoja na ndugu zako manabii, pamoja na wale wanaotii maneno ya kitabu hiki. Mwabudu Mungu!”
But he said to me, "Oh, do not do that. I am a fellow bondservant of yours, and a fellow bondservant of your brethren the Prophets and of those who are mindful of the teachings of this book. Worship God."
10 Akaniambia, “Usiyatie muhuri maneno ya unabii wa kitabu hiki, maana wakati umekaribia.
"Make no secret," he added, "of the meaning of the predictions contained in this book; for the time for their fulfillment is now close at hand.
11 Asiye mwenye haki, aendelee kutokuwa mwenye haki. Ambaye ni mchafu kimaadili, na aendelee kuwa mchafu kimaadili. Mwenye haki, na aendelee kuwa mwenye haki. Aliye mtakatifu, na aendelee kuwa mtakatifu.”
Let the dishonest man act dishonestly still; let the filthy make himself filthy still; let the righteous practise righteousness still; and let the holy be made holy still."
12 “Tazama! Naja upesi. Ujira wangu uko pamoja nami, kumlipa kila mmoja kulingana na alichokifanya.
"I am coming quickly; and My reward is with Me, that I may requite every man in accordance with what his conduct has been.
13 Mimi ni Alfa na Omega, wa Kwanza na wa Mwisho, Mwanzo na Mwisho.
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
14 Wamebarikiwa wale waoshao mavazi yao ili kwamba wapate haki ya kula kutoka katika mti wa uzima na kuuingia mji kupitia malangoni.
Blessed are those who wash their robes clean, that they may have a right to the Tree of Life, and may go through the gates into the city.
15 Nje kuna mbwa, wachawi, wazinzi, wauwaji, waabudu sanamu, na kila apendaye na ashuhudiaye ushahidi wa uongo.
The unclean are shut out, and so are all who practise magic, all fornicators, all murderers, and those who worship idols, and every one who loves falsehood and tells lies.
16 Mimi, Yesu, nimemtuma malaika wangu kuwashuhudia kuhusu mambo haya kwa makanisa. Mimi ni mzizi wa uzao wa Daudi, Nyota ya Asubuhi ing'aayo.”
"I Jesus have sent My angel for him solemnly to declare these things to you among the Churches. I am the Root and the offspring of David, the bright Morning Star.
17 Roho na Bibi harusi asema, “Njoo!” Na yeye asikiaye aseme, “Njoo!” Yeyote aliye na kiu, na aje, na yeyote anayetamani, na apate maji ya uzima bure.
The Spirit and the Bride say, 'Come;' and whoever hears, let him say, 'Come;' and let those who are thirsty come. Whoever will, let him take the Water of Life, without payment.
18 Namshuhudia kila mtu asikiaye maneno ya unabii wa kitabu hiki: Kama yeyote ataongeza katika hayo, Mungu atamuongezea mapigo yaliyoandikwa katika kitabu hiki.
"I solemnly declare to every one who hears the words of the prophecy contained in this book, that if any one adds to those words, God will add to him the plagues spoken of in this book;
19 Kama mtu yeyote atayaondoa maneno ya kitabu hiki cha unabii, Mungu ataondoa sehemu yake katika mti wa uzima na katika mji mtakatifu, ambayo habari zake zimeandikwa ndani ya kitabu hiki.
and that if any one takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take from him his share in the Tree of Life and in the holy city--the things described in this book.
20 Yeye ashuhudiaye mambo haya asema, “Ndiyo! Naja upesi.” Amina! Njoo, Bwana Yesu!
"He who solemnly declares all this says, "'Yes, I am coming quickly.'" Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
21 Neema ya Bwana Yesu iwe na kila mtu. Amina.
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people.
