1 Oh, mwimbieni Yahwe wimbo mpya; mwimbieni Yahwe, nchi yote.
Sing to Yahweh, a song that is new, Sing to Yahweh, all the earth;
2 Mwimbieni Yahwe, tukuzeni jina lake; tangazeni wokovu wake siku hadi siku.
Sing to Yahweh, bless ye his Name, —Tell the tidings, from day to day, of his salvation:
3 Tangazeni utukufu wake kati ya mataifa, matendo yake ya ajabu kati ya mataifa.
Recount, Among the nations, his glory, Among all the peoples, his wonders.
4 Maana Yahwe ni mkuu na wakusifiwa sana. Ni wakuhofiwa kuliko miungu mingine.
For great is Yahweh, and worthy to be mightily praised, To be revered is he above all gods;
5 Maana miungu yote ya mataifa ni sanamu, bali ni Yahwe aliye zifanya mbingu.
For, all the gods of the peoples, are things of nought—But, Yahweh, made, the heavens.
6 Heshima na adhama ziko mbele zake. Nguvu na uzuri zimo katika patakatifu pake.
Praise and majesty, are before him, Strength and beauty, are in his sanctuary.
7 Mpeni Yahwe sifa, enyi ukoo wa watu, mpeni sifa Yahwe kwa ajili ya utukufu wake na nguvu.
Give to Yahweh, ye families of the peoples, Give to Yahweh, glory and strength;
8 Mpeni Yahwe utukufu ambao unastahili jina lake. Leteni matoleo na muingie nyuani mwake.
Give to Yahweh, the glory of his Name, Bring a present, and enter his courts;
9 Mpigieni magoti Yahwe mkiwa mmevaa mavazi ambayo yanaheshimu utakatifu wake. Nchi yote tetemekeni mbele zake.
Bow down to Yahweh, in the adornment of holiness, Be in anguish at his presence, all the earth!
10 Semeni kati ya mataifa, Yahwe anatawala.” Ulimwengu pia umeimarishwa; hauwezi kutikiswa. Yeye huwahukumu watu kwa haki.
Say among the nations, Yahweh, hath become King, Surely he hath fixed the world, it shall not be shaken, He will judge the peoples with equity.
11 Mbingu na zifurahi, na nchi ishangilie; bahari na ivume na vyote viijazavyo vipige kelele kwa shangwe.
Let the heavens rejoice, and the earth exult, Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof;
12 Mashamba yashangilie na vyote vilivyomo. Kisha miti ya mstuni ipige kelele kwa furaha
Let the field, leap for joy, and all that is therein, Then, shall all the trees of the forest, shout in triumph,
13 mbele za Yahwe, maana yeye anakuja. Anakuja kuihukumu nchi. Naye atauhukumu ulumwengu kwa haki na mataifa kwa uaminifu wake.
Before Yahweh, for he is coming, For he is coming to judge the earth, —He will judge the world, in righteousness, And the peoples, in his faithfulness.
