1 Oh njoni, tumwimbie Yahwe; na tumwimbie kwa shangwe mwamba wa wokovu wetu.

Come, let us make a joyful noise to Yahweh, Let us shout in triumph, to the rock of our salvation!

2 Tuingie uweponi mwake kwa shukrani; tumwimbie yeye kwa zaburi ya sifa.

O let us come before his face with thanksgiving, With the sounds of strings, let us shout aloud to him.

3 Kwa maana Yahwe ni Mungu mkuu na Mfalme mkuu juu ya miungu yote.

For, a great GOD, is Yahweh, And a great king, above all gods.

4 Mkononi mwake zimo bonde za dunia; navyo vilele vya milima ni vyake.

In whose hand, are the hidden recesses of the earth, And, the peaks of the mountains, are his;

5 Bahari ni yake, maana aliiumba, na mikono yake ilitengeneza nchi kavu.

Whose, is the sea, for, he, made it, And, the dry land, his hands, did form.

6 Oh njoni, tumwabudu na tupige magoti; tupige magoti mbele za Yahwe, muumbaji wetu:

Enter! let us bow down, and bend low, Let us kneel, before Yahweh our maker;

7 Kwa maana yeye ni Mungu wetu, na sisi tu watu wa malisho yake na kondoo wa mkono wake. Ni heri leo mngesikia sauti yake!

For, he, is our God, And, we, are the people of his pasture, and the flock of his hand? To-day, if, to his voice, ye will hearken,

8 Msiifanye migumu mioyo yenu, kama vile huko Meriba, au kama ile siku ya Masa jangwani,

Do not harden your heart as at Meribah, As on the day of Massah, in the desert;

9 ambako baba zenu walinijaribu na kunipima, japo walikuwa wameyaona matendo yangu.

When your fathers, tested me, They proved me, yea they also saw what I could do.

10 Kwa miaka arobaini nilikasirishwa na kizazi hicho na kusema, 'Hawa ni watu ambao mioyo yao imepotoka; hawazijui njia zangu.'

Forty years, loathed I that generation, So I said—A people going astray in heart, they are, Even they, have not known my ways!

11 Hivyo katika hasira yangu niliapa kwamba wasingeingia kamwe mahali pa pumziko.”

And I sware in mine anger, —Verily they shall not enter into my rest.
