Zaburi 75

1 Tunatoa shukrani kwako, Mungu; tunatoa shukrani, maana wewe unaufunua uwepo wako; watu huzungumza kuhusu kazi zako za ajabu.

To him that excelleth. Destroy not. A Psalme or song committed toAsaph. We will prayse thee, O God, we will prayse thee, for thy Name is neere: therefore they will declare thy wonderous workes.

2 Kwa wakati maalum nitahukumu kwa haki.

When I shall take a conuenient time, I will iudge righteously.

3 Ingawa nchi na wenyeji wote watatikisika katika hofu, ninaifanyia nchi nguzo za kutosha. (Selah)

The earth and all the inhabitantes thereof are dissolued: but I will establish the pillars of it. (Selah)

4 Nilisema kwa wenye kiburi, “Msiwe wenye kiburi,” na kwa waovu, “Msiinue mapembe.

I saide vnto the foolish, Be not so foolish, and to the wicked, Lift not vp the horne.

5 Msiinue mapembe yenu kwenye marefu; wala msizungumze kwa shingo ya kiburi.”

Lift not vp your horne on high, neither speake with a stiffe necke.

6 Sio kutoka mashariki au magharibi, na wala sio kutoka jangwani ambako kuinuliwa kunakuja.

For to come to preferment is neither from the East, nor from the West, nor from the South,

7 Bali Mungu ni muhumkumu; humshusha huyu na kumuinua huyu.

But God is the iudge: he maketh lowe and he maketh hie.

8 Kwa kuwa Yahwe kashikilia mkononi mwake kikombe cha mvinyo wenye povu, ambao umechanganywa na vilolezo, naye huimimina. Hakika waovu wote wa duniani watakunywa mvinyo hadi tone la mwisho.

For in the hand of the Lord is a cup, and the wine is red: it is full mixt, and he powreth out of the same: surely all the wicked of the earth shall wring out and drinke the dregges thereof.

9 Bali mimi nitaendelea kusema yale ambayo umeyatenda; nami nitamwimbia sifa Mungu wa Yakobo.

But I will declare for euer, and sing prayses vnto the God of Iaakob.

10 Yeye husema, “Nitayakata mapembe yote ya waovu, lakini mapembe ya wenye haki yatainuliwa.”

All the hornes of the wicked also will I breake: but the hornes of the righteous shalbe exalted.
