1 Sikia kulia kwangu, shughulikia maombi yangu.

To the chief Musician. On a stringed instrument. [A Psalm] of David. Hear, O God, my cry; attend unto my prayer.

2 Kutokea mwisho wa nchi nitakuita wewe wakati moyo wangu umeelemewa; uniongoze kwenye mwamba ulio juu kuliko mimi.

From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: thou wilt lead me on to a rock which is too high for me.

3 Maana wewe umekuwa kimbilio langu la usalama, nguzo imara dhidi ya adui.

For thou hast been a refuge for me, a strong tower from before the enemy.

4 Uniache niishi hemani mwako milele! Nipate kimbilio salama chini ya makazi ya mbawa zako. (Selah)

I will sojourn in thy tent for ever; I will take refuge in the covert of thy wings. (Selah)

5 Kwa kuwa wewe, Mungu, umesikia viapo vyangu, wewe umenipa mimi urithi wa wale wanao liheshimu jina lako.

For thou, O God, hast heard my vows; thou hast given [me] the inheritance of those that fear thy name.

6 Wewe utaongeza maisha ya mfalme; miaka yake itakuwa kama vizazi vingi.

Thou wilt add days to the days of the king: his years shall be as many generations.

7 Yeye atabakia mbele ya Mungu milele.

He shall abide before God for ever: bestow loving-kindness and truth, that they may preserve him.

8 Nitaliimbia sifa jina lako milele ili kwamba niweze kufanya viapo vyangu kila siku.

So will I sing forth thy name for ever, performing my vows from day to day.
