1 Yahweh, usinikemee ukiwa na hasira au usiniadhibu katika gadhabu yako.
“To the chief musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, a psalm of David.” O Lord, correct me not in thy anger, and chastise me not in thy wrath.
2 Unihurumie, Yahwe, kwa maana ni dhaifu; uniponye, Yahweh, kwa kuwa mifupa yangu ina tikisika.
Be gracious unto me, O Lord; for I am withering away; heal me, O Lord; for my bones are terrified.
3 Moyo wangu pia umesumbuka sana. Lakini wewe, Yahweh, mpaka lini hali hii itaendelea?
And my soul is greatly terrified; but thou, O Lord, how long yet—?
4 Rudi, Yahweh! uniokoe. Uniokoe kwa sababu ya uaminifu wa agano lako!
Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: help me for the sake of thy kindness.
For in death men do not remember thee: in the nether world, who shall give thee thanks? (Sheol h7585)
6 Nimechoshwa na kuugua kwangu. Ninalowanisha kitanda changu kwa machozi usiku kucha; ninaosha kiti changu kwa machozi.
I am weary with my sighing; I flood every night my bed; With my tears I moisten my couch.
7 Macho yangu yanafifia kwa kulia sana; yanazidi kuwa dhaifu kwa sababu ya adaui zangu.
My eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all my assailants.
8 Ondokeni kwangu, nyote mtendao maovu; kwa kuwa Yahweh amesikia sauti ya kilio changu.
Depart from me, all ye workers of wickedness; for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.
9 Yahweh amesikia malalamiko yangu kwa ajili ya huruma; Yahweh ameyapokea maombi yangu.
The Lord hath heard my supplication; the Lord will accept my prayer.
10 Maadui zangu wote wataaibishwa na kuteswa sana. Watarudi nyuma na ghafra kufedheheshwa.
Ashamed and greatly terrified shall become all my enemies; they will turn round, and be made ashamed in a moment.
