1 Pigeni makofi, enyi watu wote; mpigieni Mungu kelele za ushindi.

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. Oh clap your hands, all ye peoples; Shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

2 Kwa maana Yahwe Aliye Juu anatisha; ni Mfalme mkuu dunia yote.

For Jehovah Most High is terrible; He is a great King over all the earth.

3 Yeye anawatiisha chini yetu na mataifa chini ya miguu yetu.

He subdueth peoples under us, And nations under our feet.

4 Yeye huchagua urithi kwa ajili yetu, utukufu wa Yakobo ambaye alimpenda. Serah

He chooseth our inheritance for us, The glory of Jacob whom he loved. (Selah)

5 Mungu ameinuliwa juu kwa shangwe, Kwa mbiu ya shangwe Yahwe yu juu.

God is gone up with a shout, Jehovah with the sound of a trumpet.

6 Mwimbieni Mungu sifa, imbeni sifa; mwimbieni sifa Mfalme wetu, imbeni sifa.

Sing praises to God, sing praises: Sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

7 Kwa maana Mungu ni Mfalme duniani kote; mwimbieni mkiwa na uelewa.

For God is the King of all the earth: Sing ye praises with understanding.

8 Mungu anatawala mataifa yote; Mungu hukaa kwenye kiti cha enzi.

God reigneth over the nations: God sitteth upon his holy throne.

9 Wakuu wa watu wamekusanyika pamoja kwa watu wa Mungu wa Ibrahimu; kwa kuwa ngao za duniani ni za Mungu; yeye ameinuliwa juu sana.

The princes of the peoples are gathered together [To be] the people of the God of Abraham; For the shields of the earth belong unto God: He is greatly exalted.
