Zaburi 41
1 Amebarikiwa mtu yule amkumbukaye mnyonge; katika siku ya taabu, Yahwe atamuokoa.
For the Leader. A Psalm of David. Happy is he that considereth the poor; the LORD will deliver him in the day of evil.
2 Yahwe atamuhifadhi na kumuweka hai, naye atabarikiwa duniani; Yahwe hata mrudisha kwenye mapenzi ya adui zake.
The LORD preserve him, and keep him alive, let him be called happy in the land; and deliver not Thou him unto the greed of his enemies.
3 Awapo kwenye kitanda cha mateso Yahwe atamsaidia; nawe utakifanya kitanda cha ugonjwa kuwa kitanda cha uponyaji.
The LORD support him upon the bed of illness; mayest Thou turn all his lying down in his sickness.
4 Nami nilisema, “Yahwe unihurumie! Uniponye, kwa maana nimekutenda dhambi wewe.”
As for me, I said: 'O LORD, be gracious unto me; heal my soul; for I have sinned against Thee.'
5 Adui zangu huongea maovu dhidi yangu, wakisema, 'Atakufa lini na jina lake lipotee?'
Mine enemies speak evil of me: 'When shall he die, and his name perish?'
6 Adui yangu ajapo kuniona, huongea mambo yasiyo na maana; moyo wake hukusanya maafa yangu kwa ajili yake mwenyewe; na aondokapo kwangu, yeye huwaambia watu wengine kuhusu hayo.
And if one come to see me, he speaketh falsehood; his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he speaketh of it.
7 Wale wote wanaonichukia kwa pamoja hunon'gona dhidi yangu; nao wanafarijika kwa ajili ya maumivu yangu.
All that hate me whisper together against me, against me do they devise my hurt:
8 Wakisema, “Gonjwa baya limemshikilia yeye haswa; na sasa kuwa amelala kitandani, hatainuka kamwe.”
'An evil thing cleaveth fast unto him; and now that he lieth, he shall rise up no more.'
9 Kweli, hata rafiki yangu wa karibu, ambae nilimuamini, aliye kula mkate wangu, ameinua kisigino chake dhidi yangu.
Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, who did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.
10 Bali wewe, Yahwe, unihurumie na uniinue ili kwamba niwalipizie kisasi.
But Thou, O LORD, be gracious unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.
11 Na hivi nitajua kuwa unafurahishwa nami, kwa kuwa adui yangu hatafurahia kunishinda.
By this I know that Thou delightest in me, that mine enemy doth not triumph over me.
12 Kwangu mimi, wewe unanisaidia katika uadilifu wangu na utaniweka mbele ya uso wako milele.
And as for me, Thou upholdest me because of mine integrity, and settest me before Thy face for ever.
13 Yahwe, Mungu wa Israeli asifiwe milele na milele. Amen na Amen. Kitabu ya Pili
Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.
