Zaburi 33
1 Furahini katika Yahwe, ninyi wenye haki; kusifu kwa wenye haki kwa faa sana.
Shout for joy, ye righteous, in Yahweh, To the upright, seemly is praise.
2 Mshukuruni Bwana kwa kinubi; mwimbieni sifa kwa kinubi chenye nyuzi kumi.
Give ye thanks unto Yahweh with the lyre, With a harp of ten strings, make ye music unto him.
3 Mwimbieni yeye wimbo mpaya; pigeni kwa ustadi na muimbe kwa furaha.
Sing unto him, a song that is new, With skill, sweep the strings, with loud noise.
4 Kwa kuwa maneno ya Mungu ni ya hakika, na kila afanyacho ni haki.
For right is the word of Yahweh, and, all his work, is in faithfulness:
5 Yeye hupenda haki na kutenda kwa haki. Dunia imejaa uaminifu wa agano la Yahwe.
Who loveth righteousness and justice, With the lovingkindness of Yahweh, the earth is full.
6 Kwa neno la Yahwe mbingu ziliumbwa, na nyota zote ziliumbwa kwa pumzi ya mdomo wake.
By the word of Yahweh, the heavens were made, and, by the spirit of his mouth, all their host:
7 Yeye huyakusanya maji ya baharini kama rundo; naye huiweka bahari katika ghala.
Who gathered as into a skin-bottle the waters of the sea, Delivering, into treasuries, the roaring deeps.
8 Basi ulimwengu wote umwogope Yahwe; wenyeji wote wa ulimwengu wamuhofu yeye.
Let all the earth, stand in awe of Yahweh, Of him, be in dread, all ye inhabitants of the world;
9 Kwa maana yeye alisema, na ikafanyika; aliamuru, na ikasimama mahali pake.
For, he, spake, and it was, He, commanded, and it stood forth.
10 Yahwe huvunja muungano wa mataifa; naye huishinda mipango ya wanadamu.
Yahweh, hath frustrated the counsel of nations, hath brought to nothing the devices of peoples.
11 Mipango ya Yahwe husimama milele, mipango ya moyo wake ni kwa ajili ya vizazi vyote.
The counsel of Yahweh, to times age-abiding, shall stand, The devices of his heart, from generation to generation.
12 Limebarikiwa taifa ambalo Mungu wao ni Yahwe, watu ambao yeye amewachagua kama warithi wake.
How happy the nation whose God is, Yahweh, The people he hath chosen as his own inheritance!
13 Yahwe anatazama kutoka mbinguni; yeye huona watu wote.
Out of the heavens, hath Yahweh looked, He hath seen all the sons of men:
14 Kutokea mahali ambapo yeye anaishi, huwatazama wote waishio juu ya nchi.
Out of his settled place of abode, hath he fixed his gaze on all the inhabitants of the earth:
15 Yeye anaye iumba mioyo yao na kuyaona matendo yao yote.
Who fashioneth their heart all together, Who understandeth all their doings.
16 Hakuna mfalme anayeokolewa na jeshi kubwa; shujaa haokolewi na nguvu zake nyingi.
Not a king, can be saved by greatness of force, nor, hero, deliver himself by greatness of strength:
17 Farasi sio salama kwa ajili ya ushindi; ijapokuwa nguvu zake ni nyingi, hawezi kuokoa.
A deception, is the horse, for victory, and, by his great strength, shall he not deliver.
18 Tazama, macho ya Yahwe yako kwa wale wanao mhofu yeye, wale wanao litumainia agano lake takatifu
Lo! the eye of Yahweh, is toward them who revere him, unto such as are waiting for his lovingkindness:
19 kuwaokoa maisha yao na mauti na kuwaweka hai wakati wa jaa.
To rescue, from death, their soul, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Sisi tunamngoja Yahwe, yeye ni msaada wetu na ngao yetu.
Our own soul, hath waited for Yahweh, Our help and our shield, is he!
21 Mioyo yetu hufurahia ndani yake, kwa kuwa tunaamini katika jina lake takatifu.
For, in him, shall our heart rejoice, For, in his holy Name, have we trusted.
22 Yahwe, agano lako takatifu, liwe pamoja nasi tuwekapo tumaini letu katika wewe.
Be thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh, upon us, According as we have waited for thee.
