1 Kwako, Yahwe, nayainua maisha yangu!
A Psalme of David. Unto thee, O Lord, lift I vp my soule.
2 Mungu wangu, ninaamini katika wewe. Usiniache niaibishwe; usiwaache maadui zangu wafurahie ushindi wao kwangu.
My God, I trust in thee: let me not be confounded: let not mine enemies reioyce ouer mee.
3 Asiaibishwe mtu yeyote anaye kutumaini bali waaibishwe wale watendao hila bila sababu!
So all that hope in thee, shall not be ashamed: but let them be confounded, that transgresse without cause.
4 Unijulishe njia zako, Yahwe; unifundishe njia zako.
Shew me thy waies, O Lord, and teache me thy paths.
5 Uniongoze kwenye kweli yako na unifundishe, kwa kuwa wewe ni Mungu wa wokovu wangu; ninakutumainia wewe siku zote za maisha yangu.
Leade me foorth in thy trueth, and teache me: for thou art the God of my saluation: in thee doe I trust all the day.
6 Kumbuka, Yahwe, matendo yako ya huruma na uaminifu wa agano lako; kwa kuwa vimekuwapo siku zote.
Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies, and thy louing kindnesse: for they haue beene for euer.
7 Usizikumbuke dhambi za ujana wangu wala uasi wangu; Uniweke akilini mwako pamoja na uaminifu wa agano kwa zababu ya uzuri wa wako, Yahwe!
Remember not the sinnes of my youth, nor my rebellions, but according to thy kindenesse remember thou me, euen for thy goodnesse sake, O Lord.
8 Yahwe ni mzuri na mwenye haki; kwa hiyo yeye huwafundisha njia mwenye dhambi.
Gracious and righteous is the Lord: therefore will he teache sinners in the way.
9 Yeye huwaelekeza wanyenyekevu kwa kile kilicho sahihi na yeye huwafundisha wao njia yake.
Them that be meeke, will hee guide in iudgement, and teach the humble his way.
10 Njia zote za Yahwe ni za upendo wa kudumu na niaminifu kwa wote wanao tunza agano na maagizo ya amri zake.
All the pathes of the Lord are mercie and trueth vnto such as keepe his couenant and his testimonies.
11 Kwa ajili ya jina lako, Yahwe, unisamehe dhambi zangu, kwa kuwa ni nyingi mno.
For thy Names sake, O Lord, be merciful vnto mine iniquitie, for it is great.
12 Ni nani ambaye anamuogopa Yahwe? Bwana atamfundisha yeye katika njia ambayo anapaswa kuichagua.
What man is he that feareth the Lord? him wil he teache the way that hee shall chuse.
13 Maisha yake yataenenda katika uzuri; na uzao wake utairithi nchi.
His soule shall dwell at ease, and his seede shall inherite the land.
14 Urafiki wa Yahwe ni kwa ajili ya wale wanao mheshimu yeye, naye hulifanya agano lake lijulikane kwao.
The secrete of the Lord is reueiled to them, that feare him: and his couenant to giue them vnderstanding.
15 Siku zote macho yangu yanamtazama Yahwe, kwa kuwa yeye ataifungua miguu yangu kwenye nyavu.
Mine eyes are euer towarde the Lord: for he will bring my feete out of the net.
16 Unigeukie mimi na unihurumie; kwa maana niko peke yangu na niliye matesoni.
Turne thy face vnto mee, and haue mercie vpon me: for I am desolate and poore.
17 Maumivu ya moyo wangu yameongezeka; uniondoe katika dhiki hii!
The sorowes of mine heart are enlarged: drawe me out of my troubles.
18 Tazama mateso yangu na taabu yangu; unisamehe dhambi zangu zote.
Looke vpon mine affliction and my trauel, and forgiue all my sinnes.
19 Ona maadui zangu, kwa maana ni wengi; wananichukia kwa chuki ya kikatili.
Beholde mine enemies, for they are manie, and they hate me with cruell hatred.
20 Uyalinde maisha yangu na uniokoe; usiniache niaibishwe, Kwa kuwa kwako nakimbilia usalama!
Keepe my soule, and deliuer me: let me not be confounded, for I trust in thee.
21 Uadilifu na unyofu vinihifadhi, kwa kuwa nina kutumainia wewe.
Let mine vprightnes and equitie preserue me: for mine hope is in thee.
22 Mungu, uiokoe Israeli, na shida yake yote!
Deliuer Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
