1 Kwa kiongozi wa muziki. Zaburi ya Daudi. Mungu akusaidie wakati wa shida; na jina la Mungu wa Yakobo likulinde

“For the leader of the music. A psalm of David.” May Jehovah hear thee in the day of trouble; May the name of the God of Jacob defend thee!

2 na kutuma msaada kutoka mahali patakatifu kwa ajili ya kukutegemeza wewe kutoka Sayuni.

May he send thee help from his sanctuary, And strengthen thee out of Zion!

3 Naye akumbuke sadaka yako yote na kuipokea sadaka ya kuteketezwa.

May he have regard to all thine offerings, And accept thy burnt sacrifice! (Pause)

4 Naye akujalie haja za moyo wako na kutimiza mipango yako yote.

May he grant thee thy heart's desire, And fulfill all thy purposes!

5 Ndipo tutakapo shangilia katika ushindi wako, na, katika jina la Mungu wetu, tutapeperusha bendera. Yahwe naakupe maombi yako yote ya haki.

We will rejoice in thy protection, And in the name of our God will we set up our banners, When Jehovah hath fulfilled all thy petitions.

6 Sasa ninajua ya kuwa Yahwe atawaokoa wapakwa mafuta wake; yeye atamjibu yeye kutoka katika mbingu takatifu kwa uweza wa mkono wake wa kuume ambao waweza kumuokoa yeye.

Now I know that Jehovah helpeth his anointed; That he heareth him from his holy heaven, And aideth him with the saving strength of his right hand.

7 Baadhi hamini katika magari na wengine katika farasi, lakini sisi tumuita Yahwe Mungu wetu.

Some glory in chariots, and some in horses, But we in the name of Jehovah our God.

8 Wao watashushwa chini na kuanguka, bali sisi tutainuka na kusimama wima!

They stumble and fall, But we stand and are erect.

9 Yahwe, umuokoe mfalme; utusaidie sisi tukuitapo.

The LORD save the king! May he hear us when we call!
