Zaburi 147
1 Msifuni Yahwe, kwa maana ni vyema kumwimbia sifa Mungu wetu, ni kuzuri, kusifu kwa faa sana.
Hallelujah; for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is comely; [him] becometh praise.
2 Yahwe huijenga tena Yerusalemu, huwakusanya pamoja watu wa Israeli waliotawanyika.
The Lord buildeth up Jerusalem: the outcasts of Israel will he gather together;
3 Huponya mioyo iliyopondeka na kuganga majeraha yao.
He that healeth the broken-hearted, and bindeth up their hurts;
4 Huzihesabu nyota, naye huzipa majina zote.
Who counteth the number of the stars; who calleth them all by [their] names.
5 Ukuu ni wa Bwana wetu na nguvu zake ni za kutisha, ufahamu wake hauwezi kupimika.
Great is our Lord, and abundant in power: his understanding is immeasurable.
6 Yahwe huwainua wanyonge, huwashusha chini wenye jeuri.
The Lord helpeth up the meek: he bringeth down the wicked to the ground.
7 Mwimbieni Yahwe kwa shukurani, mwimbieni sifa Mungu wetu kwa kinubi.
Lift up a song unto the Lord with thanksgiving; sing praises unto our God with the harp;
8 Huzifunika mbingu kwa mawingu na huiandaa mvua kwa ajili ya nchi, akizifanya nyasi kukua juu ya milima.
Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who causeth grass to grow upon the mountains;
9 Huwapa wanyama chakula na wana kunguru waliapo.
Who giveth to the beast its food, to the young ravens which cry.
10 Hapati furaha katika nguvu ya farasi, wala haridhii miguu imara ya mwanadamu.
Not in the strength of the horse hath he delight: nor in the [swiftness of the] legs of man taketh he pleasure.
11 Yahwe huridhia katika wale wanao muheshimu yeye, watumainio katika uaminifu wa agano lake.
The Lord taketh pleasure in those that fear him, that wait for his kindness.
12 Msifuni Yahwe, Yerusalemu, msifuni Mungu wenu, Sayuni.
Glorify, O Jerusalem, the Lord: praise thy God, O Zion.
13 Maana yeye huyakaza mapingo ya malango yako, huwabariki watoto wako kati yako.
For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children in the midst of thee;
14 Huletamafanikio ndani ya mipaka yako, hukutosheleza kwa ngano bora.
He who bestoweth peace in thy borders, who satisfieth thee with the best of wheat;
15 Huipeleka amri yake juu ya nchi, amri zake hupiga mbio sana.
He who sendeth forth his decree unto the earth: how swiftly speedeth his word along!
16 Huifanya theluji kama sufu, huitawanya barafu kama majivu.
He who dispenseth snow like wool; who streweth about the hoarfrost like ashes;
17 Hutupa mvua ya mawe kama makombo, ni nani awezaye kuhimili baridi aitumayo?
He who casteth down his ice like pieces: before his cold who can stand?
18 Hutuma amri zake na kuziyeyusha, huvumisha upepo wake na hutiririsha maji.
He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and waters run along.
19 Hutangaza neno lake kwa Yakobo, amri zake na hukumu zake kwa Israeli.
He declareth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his ordinances unto Israel.
20 Hajafanya hivyo kwa taifa linginelo lolote, na kama ilivyo amri zake, hawazijui. Msifuni Yahwe.
He hath not done so unto any nation: and [his] ordinances— these they know not. Hallelujah.
