1 Msifuni Yahwe. Lisifuni jina la Yahwe. Msifuni yeye, enyi watumishi wa Yahwe,
Praise ye Yah, Praise ye the Name of Yahweh, Praise, O ye servants of Yahweh;
2 ninyi msimamao katika nyumba ya Yahwe, katika nyua za nyumba ya Mungu wetu.
Who stand In the house of Yahweh, In the courts of the house of our God.
3 Msifuni Yahwe, kwa kuwa ni mwema; liimbieni sifa jina lake, maana ni vizuri kufanya hivyo.
Praise ye Yah, For good is Yahweh, Sing praises to his Name, For it is full of delight;
4 Kwa kuwa Yahwe amemchagua Yakobo kwa ajili yake mwenyewe, Israeli kama urithi wake.
For, Jacob, hath Yah chosen for himself, Israel, for his own treasure.
5 Najua ya kuwa Yahwe ni mkuu, na kwamba Bwana wetu yuko juu ya miungu yote.
For, I, know that great is Yahweh, yea, our Lord, is beyond all gods.
6 Chochote Yahwe apendacho, hufanya mbinguni, duniani, katika bahari na katika vilindi vyote.
Whatsoever Yahweh hath pleased, he hath done, —in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas, and all resounding deeps:
7 Hushusha mawingu kutoka mbali, akifanya mianga ya radi kuongozana na mvua na kuleta upepo toka katika ghala yake.
Causing vapours to ascend from the end of the earth, —Lightnings for the rain, hath he made, bringing forth wind out of his treasuries.
8 Aliua mzaliwa wa kwanza wa Misri, wote wanadamu na wanyama.
Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man, and of beast;
9 Alituma ishara na maajabu kati yako Misri, dhidi ya Farao na watumishi wake wote.
Sent signs and wonders into thy midst, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.
10 Aliwashambulia mataifa mengi na aliua wafalme wenye nguvu,
Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings:
11 Sihoni mfalme wa Waamori na Ogu mfalme wa Bashani na falme zote za Kanaani.
Sihon, king of the Amorites, and Og, king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan;
12 Alitupatia sisi nchi yao kama urithi, urithi wa Israeli watu wake.
And gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to Israel his people.
13 Jina lako, Yahwe, inadumu milele; Yahwe, kumbukumbu lako vizazi hata vizazi.
O Yahweh! thy Name, is age-abiding, —O Yahweh! thy memorial, is to generation after generation.
14 Kwa kuwa Bwana huwatetea watu wake na anahuruma juu ya watumishi wake.
For Yahweh will vindicate his people, —and, on his servants, have compassion.
15 Sanamu za mataifa ni fedha na dhahabu, kazi ya mikono ya wanadamu.
The idols of the nations, are silver and gold, the work of the hands of men:
16 Sanamu hizo zina vinywa, lakini haziongei; zina macho, lakini hazioni;
A mouth, have they, but they speak not, Eyes, have they, but they see not;
17 zina masikio, lakini hazisikii, wala vinywani mwao hamna pumzi.
Ears, have they, but they hear not, Nose, —there is no breath in their mouth.
18 Wale wazitengenezao wanafanana nazo, vilevile kila anaye zitumainia.
Like unto them, shall be they who make them, every one who trusteth in them.
19 Enyi kizazi cha Israeli, mtukuzeni Yahwe; kizazi cha Haruni, mtukuzeni Yahwe.
O house of Israel! bless Yahweh, O house of Aaron! bless Yahweh;
20 Kizazi cha Lawi, mtukuzeni Yahwe.
O house of Levi! bless Yahweh, Ye that revere Yahweh! bless Yahweh.
21 Atukuzwe Yahwe katika Sayuni, yeye aishiye Yerusalemu. Msifuni Yahwe.
Blessed be Yahweh out of Zion, Who inhabiteth Jerusalem, Praise ye Yah!
