1 Wale wamwaminio Yahwe ni kama mlima Sayuni, hautikisiki, wadumu milele.

“A psalm of the steps, or the goings up.” They who trust in the LORD shall be as Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, which standeth for ever.

2 Kama milima inavyo izunguka Yerusalemu, hivyo ndivyo Yahwe anavyo wazunguka watu wake sasa na hata milele.

As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, So the LORD is round about his people, Henceforth even for ever!

3 Fimbo ya uovu haitatawala katika nchi ya wenye haki. Vinginevyo wenye haki wanaweza kukosea.

For the sceptre of the wicked shall not remain upon the portion of the righteous, Lest the righteous put forth their hands to iniquity.

4 Ee Yahwe, utende wema kwa wale walio wema na wale walio wanyoofu mioyoni mwao.

Do good, O LORD! to the good, To them that are upright in heart!

5 Lakini kwa wale wanaogeukia njia zao za upotovu, Yahwe atawaondoa pamoja na watenda maovu. Amani iwe na Israeli.

But such as turn aside to their crooked ways, -May the LORD destroy them with the evil-doers! Peace be to Israel!
