Wafilipi 2
1 Ikiwa kuna kutiwa moyo katika Kristo. Ikiwa kuna faraja kutoka katika pendo lake. Ikiwa kuna ushirika wa Roho. Ikiwa kuna rehema na huruma.
If there be therfore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of loue, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any compassion and mercie,
2 Ikamilisheni furaha yangu kwa kunia mamoja mkiwa na upendo mmoja, mkiwa wamoja katika roho, na kuwa na kusudi moja.
Fulfill my ioye, that ye be like minded, hauing the same loue, being of one accorde, and of one iudgement,
3 Msifanye kwa ubinafsi na majivuno. Isipokuwa kwa unyenyekevu mkiwaona wengine kuwa bora zaidi yenu.
That nothing be done through contention or vaine glory, but that in meekenesse of minde euery man esteeme other better then himselfe.
4 Kila mmoja wenu asiangalie tu mahitaji yake binafsi, bali pia ajali mahitaji ya wengine.
Looke not euery man on his owne things, but euery man also on the things of other men.
5 Muwe na nia kama aliyonayo Kristo Yesu.
Let the same minde be in you that was euen in Christ Iesus,
6 Ingawaje yeye ni sawa na Mungu. Lakini hakujali kuwa sawa na Mungu ni kitu cha kushikamana nacho.
Who being in ye forme of God, thought it no robberie to be equall with God:
7 Badala yake, alijishusha mwenyewe. Alichukua umbo la mtumishi. Akajitokeza katika mfano wa wanadamu. Alionekana mwanadamu.
But he made himself of no reputation, and tooke on him ye forme of a seruant, and was made like vnto men, and was founde in shape as a man.
8 Yeye alijinyeyekeza na kuwa mtii hadi kifo, kifo cha msalaba.
He humbled himselfe, and became obedient vnto the death, euen the death of the Crosse.
9 Hivyo basi Mungu alimtukuza sana. Alimpa jina kuu lipitalo kila jina.
Wherefore God hath also highly exalted him, and giuen him a Name aboue euery name,
10 Alifanya hivyo ili kwamba katika jina la Yesu kila goti sharti liiname. Magoti ya walio mbinguni na walio juu ya ardhi na chini ya ardhi.
That at the Name of Iesus shoulde euery knee bowe, both of things in heauen, and things in earth, and things vnder the earth,
11 Na alifanya hivyo ili kwamba kila ulimi sharti ukiri kwamba Yesu kristo ni Bwana, kwa utukufu wa Mungu Baba.
And that euery tongue shoulde confesse that Iesus Christ is the Lord, vnto the glory of God the Father.
12 Kwa hiyo basi, wapendwa wangu kama mnavyotii siku zote, Si tu katika uwepo wangu lakini sasa ni zaidi sana hata pasipo uwepo wangu, uwajibikeni wokovu wenu wenyewe kwa hofu na kutetemeka.
Wherefore my beloued, as ye haue alwayes obeyed me, not as in my presence only, but now much more in mine absence, so make an end of your owne saluation with feare and trembling.
13 Kwa kuwa ni Mungu anayetenda kazi ndani yenu ili kuwawezesha kunia na kutenda mambo yale yampendezayo yeye.
For it is God which worketh in you, both the will and the deede, euen of his good pleasure.
14 Fanyeni mambo yote bila malalamiko na mabishano.
Do all things without murmuring and reasonings,
15 Fanyeni hivyo ili kwamba msilaumike na kuwa watoto wa Mungu waaminifu wasiyo na lawama. Fanyeni hivyo ili kwamba muwe nuru ya dunia, katika kizazi cha uasi na uovu.
That ye may be blamelesse, and pure, and the sonnes of God without rebuke in the middes of a naughtie and crooked nation, among whom yee shine as lights in the world,
16 Shikani sana neno la uzima ili kwamba niwe na sababu ya kutukuza siku ya Kristo. Kisha nitafahamu kwamba sikupiga mbio bure wala sikutaabika bure.
Holding forth the worde of life, that I may reioyce in the day of Christ, that I haue not runne in vaine, neither haue laboured in vaine.
17 Lakini hata kama ninamiminwa kama sadaka juu ya dhabidhu na huduma ya imani yenu, ninafurahi, na ninafurahi pamoja nanyi nyote.
Yea, and though I bee offered vp vpon the sacrifice, and seruice of your faith, I am glad, and reioyce with you all.
18 Vilevile na ninyi pia mnafurahi, na mnafurahi pamoja nami.
For the same cause also be ye glad, and reioyce with me.
19 Lakini natumaini katika Bwana Yesu kumtuma Timotheo kwenu hivi karibuni, ili kwamba niweze kutiwa moyo nitakapojua mambo yenu.
And I trust in the Lord Iesus, to sende Timotheus shortly vnto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I knowe your state.
20 Kwa kuwa sina mwingine aliye na mtazamo kama wake, mwenye nia ya kweli kwa ajili yenu.
For I haue no man like minded, who will faithfully care for your matters.
21 Wengine wote ambao ningewatuma kwenu wanatafuta mambo yao binafsi tu, na siyo mambo ya Yesu Kristo.
For all seeke their owne, and not that which is Iesus Christes.
22 Lakini mnaijua thamani yake, kwa sababu kama mtoto anavyomhudumia baba yake, ndivyo alivyotumika pamoja nami katika injili.
But yee knowe the proofe of him, that as a sonne with the father, hee hath serued with me in the Gospel.
23 Kwa hiyo ninatumaini kumtuma haraka pindi tu nitakapofahamu nini kitatokea kwangu.
Him therefore I hope to send assoone as I knowe howe it will goe with me,
24 Lakini nina hakika katika Bwana kwamba mimi mwenyewe pia nitakuja hivi karibuni.
And trust in the Lord, that I also my selfe shall come shortly.
25 Lakini nafikiri ni muhimu kumrejesha kwenu Epafradito. Yeye ni ndugu yangu na mtenda kazi mwenzangu na askari mwenzangu, mjumbe na mtumishi wenu kwa ajili ya mahitaji yangu.
But I supposed it necessarie to sende my brother Epaphroditus vnto you, my companion in labour, and fellowe souldier, euen your messenger, and he that ministred vnto me such things as I wanted.
26 Kwa sababu alikuwa na hofu na alitamani kuwa pamoja nanyi nyote, kwa kuwa mlisikia kwamba alikuwa mgonjwa.
For he longed after all you, and was full of heauinesse, because yee had heard that hee had beene sicke.
27 Maana hakika alikuwa mgonjwa sana kiasi cha kufa. Lakini Mungu alimhurumia, na wema huo haukuwa juu yake tu, lakini pia ulikuwa juu yangu, ili kwamba nisiwe na huzuni juu ya huzuni.
And no doubt he was sicke, very neere vnto death: but God had mercie on him, and not on him onely, but on me also, least I should haue sorowe vpon sorowe.
28 Kwa hiyo ninamrejesha kweny haraka iwezekanavyo, Ili kwamba mtakapomwona tena mpate kufurahi na mimi nitakuwa nimeondolewa wasi wasi.
I sent him therefore the more diligently, that when yee shoulde see him againe, yee might reioyce, and I might be the lesse sorowfull.
29 Mkaribisheni Epafradito katika Bwana kwa furaha zote. Waheshimuni watu kama yeye.
Receiue him therefore in the Lord with all gladnesse, and make much of such:
30 Kwa kuwa ilikuwa kwa ajili ya kazi ya Kristo kwamba alikaribia kufa. Alihatarisha maisha yake ili kuniokoa mimi na akafanya kile ambacho hamkuweza kufanya katika kunihudumia mimi kwa mko mbali nami.
Because that for the woorke of Christ he was neere vnto death, and regarded not his life, to fulfill that seruice which was lacking on your part towarde me.
