Yoshua 15

This then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Iudah by their families: euen to the border of Edom and the wildernesse of Zin, Southward on the Southcoast.
2 Mpaka wao wa upande wa kusini ulianzia mwisho wa Bahari ya Chumvi, kutoka ghuba iliyokabili upande wa kusini.
And their South border was the salt Sea coast, from the point that looketh Southward.
3 Mpaka wao mwingine ulielekea upande wa kusini wa mlima wa Akrabimu na kupita kuelekea Sini, na kupanda upande wa Kadeshi Barnea, karibu na Hezroni, hadi Addari mahali ambapo ulipinda kuelekea Karika.
And it went out on the Southside towarde Maaleth-akrabbim, and went along to Zin, and ascended vp on the Southside vnto Kadesh-barnea, and went along to Hezron, and went vp to Adar, and fet a compasse to Karkaa.
4 Ulipita katika Azimoni, kuelekea kijito cha Misri, na mwisho ulikuwa katika bahari. Huu ulikuwa ni mpaka wa kusini.
From thence went it along to Azmon, and reached vnto the riuer of Egypt, and the end of that coast was on the Westside: this shall be your South coast.
5 Mpaka wa mashariki ulikuwa ni Bahari ya Chumvi, katika mdomo wa Yordani. Mpaka wa upande wa kasikazini ulianzia katika ghuba ya bahari katika mdomo wa Yordani.
Also the Eastborder shalbe the salt Sea, vnto the end of Iorden: and the border on the North quarter from the point of the Sea, and from the end of Iorden.
6 Ulielekea mpaka Bethi Hogla na ulipita kaskazini mwa Bethi Araba. Kisha ulipanda hata JIwe la Bohani mwana wa Rubeni.
And this border goeth vp to Beth-hogla, and goeth along by ye Northside of Beth-arabah: so the border from thence goeth vp to the stone of Bohan the sonne of Reuben.
7 Basi mpaka ule ulienda hadi Debiri kutoka katika bonde la Akori, kuelekea upande wa kasikazini, kuendelea hadi Giligali, ambayo iko mkabala na mlima Adumimu, iliyo upande wa kusini wa bonde. Kisha mpaka uliendelea hata katika chemichemi za Eni Shemeshi na kufika Eni Rogeli.
Againe this border goeth vp to Debir from the valley of Achor, and Northwarde, turning toward Gilgal, that lyeth before the going vp to Adummim, which is on the Southside of the riuer: also this border goeth vp to the waters of En-shemesh, and endeth at En-rogel.
8 kisha mpaka ulishuka hadi bonde la Beni Hinomu kuelekea upande wa kusini wa mji wa Wayebusi ( ambao ni Yerusalemu). Kisha ulipanda hata katika mlima ulio juu ya bonde la Hinomu, katika upande wa magharibi, ulio mwishoni mwa bonde la Refaimu katika upande wa kasikazini.
Then this border goeth vp to the valley of the sonne of Hinnom; on the Southside of the Iebusites: the same is Ierusalem. also this border goeth vp to the top of the mountaine that lyeth before the valley of Hinnom Westward, which is by the end of the valley of ye gyants Northward.
9 Kisha mpaka ulitanuka kutoka katika kilele cha milima hata chemichemi ya Nefutoa, na ulipanda kutoka hapo kuelekea miji ya Mlima Efroni. Kisha mpaka ulipiga kona kuelekea Baala ( ambao ndio Kiriathi Yearimu).
So this border compasseth from the top of the mountaine vnto the fountaine of the water of Nephtoah, and goeth out to the cities of mount Ephron: and this border draweth to Baalah, which is Kiriath-iearim.
10 Baadaye mpaka ulizunguka kuelekea magharibi mwa Baala kukabili Mlima Seiri, na kupita kufuata upande wa Mlima wa Yearimu katika upande wa kasikazini (ambao ndio Kesaloni), ulienda chini hadi Bethi Shemeshi na kuvuka hata ng'ambo ya Timna.
Then this border compasseth from Baalah Westward vnto mount Seir, and goeth along vnto the side of mount Iearim, which is Chesalon on the Northside: so it commeth downe to Bethshemesh, and goeth to Timnah.
11 Mpaka uliendelea karibu na mlima wa kasikazini mwa mlima wa Ekroni, na kisha ukakata kona kuzunguka Shikeroni na kupita kuelekea sambasamba na Mlima Baala, kutoka hapo uliendelea hadi Yabneeli. Mpaka ule ulikomea katika bahari.
Also this border goeth out vnto the side of Ekron Northwarde: and this border draweth to Shicron, and goeth along to mount Baalah, and stretcheth vnto Iabneel: and the endes of this coast are to the Sea.
12 Mpaka wa magharibi ulikuwa Bahari Kuu na katika ukanda wa pwani yake. Huu ndio mpaka uliozunguka kabila la Yuda, ukoo kwa ukoo.
And the Westborder is to the great Sea: so this border shalbe the bounds of the children of Iudah round about, according to their families.
13 Katika kulitunza agizo la Yahweh kwa Yoshua, Yoshua alimpa Kalebu mwana wa Yefune mgao wa nchi ya. miongoni mwa kabila la Yuda, alimgawia nchi Kiriathi Arba, ambayo ndio Hebroni (Arba alikuwa ni baba wa Anaki).
And vnto Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh did Ioshua giue a part among the children of Iudah, as the Lord commanded him, euen Kiriath-arba of the father of Anak, which is Hebron.
14 Kalebu aliwafukuzia mbali wana watatu wa Anaki: Sheshai, Ahimani na Talmai, wazawa wa Anaki.
And Caleb droue thence three sonnes of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the sonnes of Anak.
15 Alipanda kutoka pale kinyume cha wenyeji wa Debiri (Debiri hapo mwanzo iliitwa Kiriathi Seferi).
And he went vp thence to the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before time was Kiriath-sepher.
16 Kalebu akasema, “Mtu atakayeishambulia Kiriathi Seferi na kuiteka, nitampa binti yangau, Akisa, awe mke wake.
Then Caleb sayd, He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and taketh it, euen to him wil I giue Achsah my daughter to wife.
17 Wakati huo Othinieli mwana wa Kenazi, kaka yake na Kalebu, aliuteka mji, na Kalebu alimpatia Akisa, binti yake awe mke wake.
And Othniel, the sonne of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb tooke it: and he gaue him Achsah his daughter to wife.
18 Mara baada ya hayo, Akisa alienda kwa Othinieli na alimsihi amwombe baba yake shamba. Na mara aliposhuka kutoka katika punda wake, Kalebu alimwambia Akisa, “Unataka nini?”
And as she went in to him, she moued him, to aske of her father a fielde: and she lighted off her asse, and Caleb sayd vnto her, What wilt thou?
19 Akisa akamjibu, “Nifanyie neema. Kwa kuwa umeshanipa nchi ya Negevu, nipe pia baadhi ya chemichemi za maji.” Na Kalebu alimpa chemichemi ya juu na chemichemi ya chini.
Then she answered, Giue me a blessing: for thou hast giuen mee the South countrey: giue me also springs of water. And hee gaue her the springs aboue and the springs beneath.
20 Huu ulikuwa ndio urithi wa kabila la Yuda, waliopewa kufuatana na koo zao.
This shalbe the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Iudah according to their families.
21 Miji iliyo mali ya kabila la Yuda katika upande wa kusini, kuelekea mpaka wa Edomu, ilikuwa ni Kabzeeli, Eda, Yaguri,
And the vtmost cities of the tribe of the children of Iudah, toward the coastes of Edom Southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Iagur,
22 Kina, Dimona, Adada,
And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,
23 Kadeshi, Hazor, Ithinani,
And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,
24 Zifu, Telemu, Bealothi.
Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,
25 Hazori Hadata, Keriothi Hezroni (mji huu ulijulikana kama Hazori),
And Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, Hesron (which is Hazor)
26 Amamu, shema, Molada,
Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,
27 Hazari Gada, Heshimoni, Bethi Peleti,
And Hazar, Gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-palet,
28 Hazari Shuali, Beerisheba, Biziothia.
And Hasar-shual, and Beersheba, and Biziothiah,
29 Baala, Limu, Ezemu,
Baalah, and Iim, and Azem,
30 Eltoladi, Kesili, Horma,
And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah,
31 Ziklagi, Madimana, Sansana,
And Ziklag, and Madmanna, and Sansannah,
32 Lebaothi, Shilihimu, Aini, na Rimoni. Miji hii ilikuwa ishirini na tisa kwa ujumla, kujumlisha na vijiji vyake.
And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon: all these cities are twentie and nine with their villages.
33 Katika nchi iliyo chini ya mlima upande wa magharibi, kulikuwa na miji ya Eshtaoli, Zora, Ashina,
In the lowe countrey were Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,
34 Zanaoa, Eni Ganimu, Tapua, Enamu,
And Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam,
35 Yarmuthi, Adulamu, Soko, Azeka,
Iarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,
36 Shaaraimu, Adithaimu, na Gedera ( ambayo ndio Gederothaimu). Hesabu ya miji hii ilikuwa ni kumi na nne, pamoja na vijiji vyao.
And Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim: fourteene cities with their villages.
37 Zena, Hadasha, Migidagadi,
Zenam, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad,
38 Dileani, Mizipa, Yokitheeli,
And Dileam, and Mizpeh, and Ioktheel,
39 Lakishi, Bozikathi, Egloni.
Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,
40 Kaboni, Lahmamu, Kitilishi,
And Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Kithlish,
41 Gederothi, Bethi Dagoni, Naama, Makeda. Hesabu ya miji hii ilikuwa kumi na sita, kujumlisha na vijiji vyao.
And Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah: sixteene cities with their villages.
42 Libna, Etheri, Ashani,
Lebnah, and Ether, and Ashan,
43 Ifuta, Ashina, Nezibu,
And Iipthtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,
44 Keila, Akizibu, na Maresha. Hii ilikuwa ni miji tisa, kujumlisha na vijiji vyao.
And Keilah, and Aczib, and Mareshah: nine cities with their villages.
45 Ekroni, pamoja na miji na vijiji vyake vinavyoizunguka;
Ekron with her townes and her villages,
46 kutoka Ekroni kuelekea Bahari Kuu, makazi yote ambayo yalikuwa karibu na Ashidodi, pamoja na vijiji vyake.
From Ekron, euen vnto the Sea, all that lyeth about Ashdod with their villages.
47 Ashidodi, na miji na vijiji vyake vinavyoizunguka; Gaza na miji na vijiji vyake vinavyoizunguka; hata kufika kijito cha Misri, na kuelekea Bahari Kuu pamoja na ukanda wake wa pwani.
Ashdod with her townes and her villages: Azzah with her townes and her villages, vnto the riuer of Egypt, and the great Sea was their coast.
48 Katika nchi ya milima, kuna miji ya Shamiri, Yatiri, Soko,
And in the mountaines were Shamir, and Iattir, and Socoh,
49 Dana, Kiriathi Sana (ambayo ndio Debiri),
And Dannah, and Kiriath-sannath (which is Debir)
50 Anabu, Eshitemo, Animu,
And Anab, and Ashtemoth, and Anim,
51 Gosheni, Holoni, na Gilo. Hii ilikuwa ni miji kumi na moja, kujumuisha na vijiji vyake.
And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh: eleuen cities with their villages,
52 Arabu, Duma, Ehani,
Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean,
53 Yanimu, Bethi Tapua, Afeka,
And Ianum, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah,
54 Humta, Kiriathi Arba (ambayo ndio Hebroni), na Ziori. Hii ilikuwa miji tisa, pamoja na vijiji vyake.
And Humtah, and Kiriath-arba, (which is Hebron) and Zior: nine cities with their villages.
55 Maoni, Karmeli, Zifu, Yuta,
Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Iuttah,
56 Yezreeli, Yokdeamu, Zanoa,
And Izreel, and Iokdeam, and Zanoah,
57 Kaini, Gibea, na Timna. Hii ilikuwa ni miji kumi, kujumuisha na vijiji vyake.
Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah: ten cities with their villages.
58 Halhuli, Bethi Zuri, Gedori,
Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor,
59 Maarathi, Bethi Anothi, na Elitekoni. Hii ilikuwa miji sita, pamoja na vijiji vyake.
And Maarah, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon: sixe cities with their villages.
60 Kiriathi Baali (ambayo ndio Kiriathi Yearimu), na Raba. Hii ilikuwa ni miji miwili, pamoja na vijiji vyake.
Kiriath-baal, which is Kiriath-iearim, and Rabbah: two cities with their villages.
61 Katika nyika, kulikuwa na miji ya Bethi Araba, Midini, Sekaka,
In the wildernes were Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
62 Nibushani, mji wa chumvi, na Eni Gedi. Hii ilikuwa miji, pamoja na vijiji vyao.
And Nibshan, and the citie of salt, and Engedi: sixe cities with their villages.
63 Lakini kwa Wayebusi, wenyeji wa Yerusalemu, kabila la Yuda halikuweza kuwafukuza, na hivyo, Wayebusi wanaishi pamoja na kabila la Yuda hadi leo hii.
Neuerthelesse, the Iebusites that were the inhabitants of Ierusalem, could not the children of Iudah cast out, but the Iebusites dwell with the children of Iudah at Ierusalem vnto this day.
