Yoshua 13
1 Sasa Yoshua alikuwa mzee wakati Yahweh alipomwambia, “Umekuwa mzee, lakini bado kuna nchi kubwa ya kuteka.
Now Joshua was old, well stricken in years; and the Lord said unto him, Thou art old, stricken in years, and of the land there remaineth yet very much to be taken possession of.
2 Nchi iliyosalia ndio hii: mikoa yote ya Wafilisti, na mikoa ile ya Wageshuri,
This is the land that yet remaineth: All the circles of the Philistines, and all [the land of the] Geshurites,
3 (tangu Shihori, iliyoko mashariki mwa Misri, na upande wa kaskazini kuelekea mpaka wa Ekroni, inayofikiriwa kuwa ni mali ya Wakanaani; wafalme watano wa Wafilisti, wale wafalme wa Gaza, Ashidodi, Ashikeloni, Gathi na Ekroni - miliki ya Waavi.
From the Shichor, which runneth before Egypt, even unto the boundary of 'Ekron northward, is counted to the Canaanites; the five lords of the Philistines; the Gazzathites, and the Ashdodites, the Eshkelonites, the Gittites, and the 'Ekronites; also the 'Avvim;
4 Katika upande wa kusini, kulisalia nchi yote ya Wakanaani, na Meara ambayo ni miliki ya Wasidoni, hadi Afeki, hata mpaka wa Waamori;
On the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Me'arah that belongeth to the Zidonians, up to Aphek, up to the border of the Emorites;
5 nchi ya Wagebali, Lebanoni kuelekea upande wa mapambazuko ya jua, kutoka Baali- Gadi chini ya Mlima Hermoni mpaka Lebo Hamathi.
And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the rising of the sun, from Ba'al-gad under mount Chermon up to the entrance of Chamath.
6 Pia, wenyeji wote wa nchi ya milima kutoka Lebanoni hadi Misrefothi - Maimu, pamoja na watu wa Sidoni. Nitawafukuza mbele ya jeshi la Israeli. Uwe na uhakika wa kuwapa Waisraeli nchi kama urithi, kama nilivyokuagiza.
All the inhabitants of the mountain from Lebanon unto Missrephoth-mayim, all the Zidonians: these will I drive out from before the children of Israel; only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.
7 Igawanye nchi hii kama urithi kwa makabila tisa na kwa nusu ya kabila la Manase.
And now divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half tribe of Menasseh.
8 Pamoja na nusu nyingine ya kabila la Manase, Wareubeni na Wagadi wamekwisha kupokea urithi wao ambao Musa aliwapa katika upande wa mashariki wa Yordani,
With him the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave unto them, beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses the servant of the Lord hath given them;
9 kutoka Aroeri, iliyo katika ukingo wa bonde la mto Arnoni (kujumuisha na mji ambao uko katikati ya bonde), kwa nyanda zote za Medeba hadi Diboni;
From 'Aro'er, that is upon the bank of the brook Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the brook, and all the plain of Medeba up to Dibon;
10 miji yote ya Sihoni, mfalme wa Waamori, ambaye alitawala katika Heshiboni, hata mpaka wa Waamori,
And all the cities of Sichon the king of the Emorites, who reigned over Cheshbon, up to the border of the children of 'Ammon;
11 Gileadi na mkoa wa Wageshuri na Maakathi, mlima wote wa Hermoni, Bashani yote mpaka Saleka;
And Gil'ad, and the territory of the Geshurites and Ma'achathites, and all mount Chermon, and all Bashan up to Salchah;
12 ufalme wote wa Ogu katika Bashani, aliyetawala katika Ashitarothi na Edrei - hawa ni wale waliosalia katika Refaimu - ambao Musa aliwapiga na kuwafukuzia mbali.
All the kingdom of 'Og in Bashan, who reigned in 'Ashtaroth and in Edre'i; who had been left of the remnant of the Rephaim; and Moses smote them, and cast them out.
13 Lakini watu wa Israeli hawakuwafukuza Wageshuri wala Wamakathi. Badala yake, Wageshuri na Wamakathi wanaishi miongoni mwa Waisraeli hadi leo.
Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites and the Ma'achathites; but the Geshurites and the Ma'achathites continued to dwell in the midst of the Israelites until this day.
14 Kabila la Lawi pekee halikupewa urithi na Musa. Urithi wao ni sadaka za Yahweh, Mungu wa Israeli, zilizotolewa kwa moto, kama Mungu alivyomwagiza Musa.
Only unto the tribe of Levi he gave no inheritance: the fire-offerings of the Lord, the God of Israel, are their inheritance, as he hath spoken unto them.
15 Musa aliwapa urithi kabila la Rubeni, ukoo kwa ukoo.
And Moses gave unto the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their families;
16 Miliki yao ilikuwa kutoka Aroeri, juu ya ukingo wa bonde la Mto Arnoni, na mji ulio katikati ya bonde, na nyanda zote za Medeba.
And their territory was from 'Aro'er, that is on the bank of the brook Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the brook, and all the plain by Medeba;
17 Wareubeni walipata pia Heshiboni, na miji yake yote zilizo katika uwanda, Diboni, na Bamathi Baali, na Bethi Baalimeoni,
Cheshbon, and all its cities that are in the plain; Dibon, and Bamoth-ba'al, and Beth-ba'al-me'on,
18 na Yahazi, na Kedemothi, na Mefaathi,
And Yahzah, and Kedemoth, and Mepha'ath,
19 na Kiriathaimu, na Sibuma, na Zerethishahari juu ya kilima cha bonde.
And Kiryathayim, and Sibmah, and Zereth-hashachar on the mount of the valley,
20 Wareubeni walipata pia Bethi Peori, miteremko ya Pisiga, Bethi Yeshimothi,
And Beth-pe'or, and the declivities of Pisgah, and Beth-hayeshimoth,
21 miji yote ya uwanda, na ufalme wote wa Sihoni, mfalme wa Waamori, ambaye alikuwa ametawala katika Heshiboni, ambaye Musa alikuwa amemshinda pamoja na viongozi wa Midiani, Evi, Rekemu, Zuri, Huri na Reba, wana wa mfalme wa Sihoni, ambao walikuwa wameishi katika nchi.
And all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sichon the king of the Emorites, who reigned in Cheshbon, whom Moses smote with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Chur, and Reba', the dukes of Sichon, the dwellers of the country.
22 Pia, watu wa Israeli walimwua kwa upanga Baalam mwana wa Beori, ambaye alifanya mambo ya uaguzi, miongoni mwa wale waliowaua.
And Bil'am the son of Be'or, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword among their slain.
23 Mpaka wa kabila la Rubeni ni Mto Yordani; huu ndio mpaka wao. Huu ulikuwa ni urithi wa kabila la Rubeni, uliotolewa kwa kila ukoo, pamoja na miji na vijiji vyao.
And the boundary of the children of Reuben was the Jordan, and its bordering territory. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben after their families, the cities and their villages.
24 Hiki ndicho Musa alilipa kabila la Gadi, ukoo kwa ukoo:
And Moses gave unto the tribe of Gad, unto the children of Gad according to their families;
25 Himaya yao ilikuwa Yazeri, miji yote ya Gileadi na nusu ya nchi ya Waamoni, hadi Aroeri, iliyo mashariki mwa Raba,
And their territory was Ya'zer, and all the cities of Gil'ad, and half the land of the children of 'Ammon, up to 'Aro'er that is before Rabbah;
26 kutoka Heshiboni hadi Ramathi - Mizipe na Betonimu, kutoka Mahanaimu mpaka himaya ya Debiri.
And from Cheshbon unto Ramath-mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Machanayim up to the border of Debir;
27 Katika bonde, Musa aliwapa Bethi -Haramu, Bethi - Nimra, Sukothi, na Zafoni, ufalme uliobakia wa Sihoni mfalme wa Heshiboni, pamoja na Yordani kama mpaka, katika sehemu za chini za mwisho wa Bahari ya Kinerethi, upande wa mashariki ng'ambo ya Yordani.
And in the valley, Beth-haram, and Beth-nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sichon the king of Cheshbon, the Jordan and its bordering territory, up to the edge of the sea of Kinnereth on the other side of the Jordan eastward.
28 Huu ni urithi wa kabila la Gadi, ukoo kwa ukoo, pamoja na miji na vijiji vyao.
This is the inheritance of the children of Gad after their families, the cities and their villages.
29 Musa aliwapa urithi nusu ya kabila la Manase. Urithi uligawiwa kwa nusu ya kabila la watu wa Manase kutokana na kabila zao.
And Moses gave unto the half tribe of Menasseh; and it belonged to the half tribe of the children of Menasseh after their families;
30 Miliki yao ilikuwa kutoka Mahanaimu, Bashani yote, ufalme wote wa mfalme Ogu wa Bashani, na miji yote ya Yairi, iliyo katika Bashani, miji sitini;
And their territory was from Machanayim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of 'Og the king of Bashan, and all the villages of Ya'ir, which are in Bashan, sixty cities;
31 nusu ya Gileadi, na Ashitarothi na Edrei (miji ya kifalme ya Ogu katika Bashani). Miji hii iligawanywa kwa ukoo wa Makiri mwana wa Manase -nusu ya watu wa Makiri, walipewa kwa kila familia zao.
And half Gil'ad and 'Ashtaroth, and Edre'i, the cities of the kingdom of 'Og in Bashan, [belonged] unto the children of Machir the son of Menasseh, even to the one half of the children of Machir after their families.
32 Huu ndio urithi ambao Musa aliowagawia katika nyanda za Moabu, ng'ambo ya Yordani mashariki mwa Yeriko.
These are they to whom Moses did distribute an inheritance in the plans of Moab, on the other side of the Jordan, by Jericho, eastward.
33 Musa hakulipa urithi kabila la Lawi. kwa kuwa Yahweh, Mungu wa israeli, ni urithi wao, kama vile alivyowaambia.
But unto the tribe of Levi Moses gave not any inheritance: the Lord the God of Israel is himself their inheritance, as he hath spoken unto them.
