Ayubu 42
1 Kisha Ayubu akamjibu Yahweh na kusema,
Then Job answered Jehovah, and said:
2 “Ninajua kwamba unaweza kufanya mambo yote, ya kuwa hakuna kusudi lako linaweza kuzuiliwa.
I know that thou canst do every thing, And that no purpose of thine can be hindered.
3 Ni nani huyo ambaye pasipo maarifa huificha mipango? Kwa kweli nilisema mambo ambayo sikuyaelewa, mambo magumu kwangu kuyafahamu, ambayo juu yake sikujua chochote.
Who is he that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? Thus have I uttered what I understood not; Things too wonderful for me, which I knew not:
4 Uliniambia, 'Sikiliza sasa, nami nitasema; nitakuuliza mambo, nawe utaniambia.'
Hear thou, then, I beseech thee, and I will speak! I will ask thee, and do thou instruct me!
5 Nimekuwa nikikusikia kwa usikivu wa sikio langu, lakini sasa jicho langu linakuona wewe.
I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear; But now hath mine eye seen thee.
6 Basi ninajidharau mwenyewe; ninatubu kwa mavumbi na majivu.”
Wherefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes.
7 Ilitokea baada ya kuwa amekwisha kusema maneno hata kwa Ayubu, Yahweh alimwambia Elifazi Mtemani, “Ghadhabu yangu imewaka dhidi yako na dhidi ya marafiki zako wawili kwa kuwa hamkusema maneno ya haki juu yangu kama alivyofanya mtumishi wangu Ayubu.
And when Jehovah had spoken these words unto Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite: “My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends; for ye have not spoken concerning me that which is right, as hath my servant Job.
8 Sasa basi, jitwalieni mafahari saba na mabeberu saba, kisha mmwendee mtumishi wangu Ayubu na mtoe sadaka ya kuteketezwa kwa ajili yenu. Ndipo Mtumishi wangu Ayubu atawaombea ninyi, nami nitayapokea maombi yake, ili kwamba nisiwashughulikie sawasawa na upumbavu wenu. Maana hamkusema mambo ya haki juu yangu, kama alivyofanya mtumishi wangu Ayubu.”
Take ye, therefore, seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer for yourselves a burnt-offering, and my servant Job shall pray for you; for to him alone will I have regard; that I deal not with you according to your folly. For ye have not spoken concerning me that which is right, as hath my servant Job.”
9 Basi Elifazi Mtemani, Bildadi Mshuhi na Zofari Mnaamathi walienda na kufanya kama vile Yahweh alivyowaamuru, na Mungu alimtakabali Ayubu.
So Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite, went and did as Jehovah commanded them; and Jehovah had regard to Job.
10 Na wakati Ayubu alimpowaombea rafiki zake, Yahweh alirejeza bahati yake. Yahweh alimjalia mara mbili ya kile alichokimiliki hapo awali.
And Jehovah turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends, and Jehovah gave him twice as much as he had before.
11 Ndipo ndugu zake na Ayubu, na wale jamaa zake wote walikuwa wanajuana naye hapo mwanzo, walikuja hapo kwake na kula chakula pamoja naye katika nyumba yake. Waliomboleza pamoja naye na walimfariji kwa ajili majanga yote ambayo Yahweh alikuwa ameyaleta juu yake. Kila mtu alimpa Ayubu kipande cha fedha na pete ya dhahabu.
Then came to him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all his former acquaintances, and ate bread with him in his house; and condoled with him, and comforted him over all the evil which Jehovah had brought upon him; and every one gave him a piece of money [[a kesita]], and every one a ring of gold.
12 Yahweh aliubarikiwa mwisho wa maisha ya Ayubu kuliko mwanzo wake; alikuwa na kondoo kumi na nne elfu, ngamia elfu sita, jozi elfu moja, na punda jike elfu moja.
Thus Jehovah blessed the latter end of Job more than the beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-asses.
13 Pia alikuwa na wana saba na mabinti watatu.
He had also seven sons, and three daughters.
14 Binti wa kwanza alimwita Yemima, na wa pili Kezia, na wa tatu Kerenihapuki.
And he called the name of the first Jemima, of the second Kezia, and of the third Kerenhappuch.
15 Katika nchi yote hawakupatikana wanawake wazuri kama mabinti wa Ayubu. Baba yao aliwapa urithi miongoni mwa kaka zao.
And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job; and their father gave them an inheritance among their brethren.
16 Baada ya haya, Ayubu aliishi miaka 140; aliwaona wana wake na wana wa wanawe, hata kizazi cha nne.
And Job lived after this a hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations.
17 Basi Ayubu alifariki, akiwa mzee na akijawa na siku nyingi.
Then Job died, being old and satisfied with days.
