Ayubu 40
1 Yahweh aliendelea kuongea na Ayubu na kusema,
Moreouer ye Lord spake vnto Iob, and said,
2 “Je mtu yeyote anayetaka kukosoa na ajaribu kumsahihisha Mwenye enzi? Na yeye anayehojiana na Mungu, na ajibu yeye.”
Is this to learne to striue with the Almightie? he that reprooueth God, let him answere to it.
3 Ndipo Ayubu akamjibu Yahweh na kusema, “
Then Iob answered the Lord, saying,
4 Tazama, mimi si mtu muhimu; je nawezaje kukujibu? Ninauweka mkono wangu juu ya mdomo wangu.
Beholde, I am vile: what shall I answere thee? I will lay mine hand vpon my mouth.
5 Ninazungumza mara moja, na sitakujibu; hakika, mara mbili, lakini sitaendelea zaidi.”
Once haue I spoken, but I will answere no more, yea twise, but I will proceede no further.
6 Kisha Yahweh akamjibu Ayubu kutoka katika dhoruba kali na kusema,
Againe the Lord answered Iob out of the whirle winde, and said,
7 “Jifunge sasa mkanda kiunoni mwako kama mwanaume, kwa kuwa nitakuuliza maswali, nawe lazima unijibu.
Girde vp now thy loynes like a man: I will demaunde of thee, and declare thou vnto me.
8 Je waweza kusema kwa hakika kwamba mimi si mwenye haki? Je utanihukumu mimi ili useme wewe ni mwenye haki?
Wilt thou disanul my iudgement? or wilt thou condemne me, that thou mayst be iustified?
9 Je una mkono kama wa Mungu? Je waweza kutoa kishindo kwa sauti kama yeye?
Or hast thou an arme like God? or doest thou thunder with a voyce like him?
10 Jivike sasa katika utukufu na katika utu; jivalie mwenyewe heshima na enzi.
Decke thy selfe now with maiestie and excellencie, and aray thy selfe with beautie and glory.
11 Sambaza ziada ya hasira yako; mtazame kila mmoja mwenye kiburi na umshushe chini.
Cast abroad the indignation of thy wrath, and beholde euery one that is proude, and abase him.
12 Mwangalie kila mmoja mwenye kiburi na umweke chini; wakanyage chini watu waovu mahali wanaposimama.
Looke on euery one that is arrogant, and bring him lowe: and destroy the wicked in their place.
13 Wazike ardhini pamoja; zifunge nyuso zao katika sehemu zilizositirika.
Hide them in the dust together, and binde their faces in a secret place.
14 Ndipo pia nitakapokubali ya kwamba mkono wako wa kulia waweza kukuokoa.
Then will I confesse vnto thee also, that thy right hand can saue thee.
15 Mwangalie sasa kiboko, ambaye niliwafanya kama nilivyokufanya wewe; anakula nyasi kama ng'ombe.
Behold now Behemoth (whom I made with thee) which eateth grasse as an oxe.
16 Ona sasa, nguvu zake ziko katika viuno vyake; nguvu zake zi katika mishipa ya tumbo lake.
Behold now, his strength is in his loynes, and his force is in the nauil of his belly.
17 Yeye huuondoa mkia wake kama mti wa mwerezi; mishipa ya paja lake imeunganishwa pamoja.
When hee taketh pleasure, his taile is like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapt together.
18 Mifupa yake ni kama ya mirija ya shaba; na miguu yake ni kama kipande cha chuma.
His bones are like staues of brasse, and his small bones like staues of yron.
19 Yeye ni mkuu wa viumbe vya Mungu. Ni Mungu pekee, ambaye alimwumba, anaweza kumshinda.
He is the chiefe of the wayes of God: he that made him, will make his sworde to approch vnto him.
20 Kwa kuwa milima humpatia chakula; hayawani wa mashambani hucheza karibu.
Surely the mountaines bring him foorth grasse, where all the beastes of the fielde play.
21 Hujilaza chini ya mimiea ya kivuli katika makao ya mianzi, na katika bwawa la matope.
Lyeth hee vnder the trees in the couert of the reede and fennes?
22 Miti yenye vivuli humfunika katika vivuli vyake; mierebi ya kijito inamzunguka pande zote.
Can the trees couer him with their shadow? or can the willowes of the riuer compasse him about?
23 Tazama, kama mto utazigharikisha kingo zake, hatikisiki; yeye anajiamini, hata kama Mto wa Yordani unajaa hadi katika pua yake.
Behold, he spoyleth the riuer, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw vp Iorden into his mouth.
24 Je mtu yeyote aweza kumnasa kwa ndoano, au kuichoma pua yake kwa mtego?
Hee taketh it with his eyes, and thrusteth his nose through whatsoeuer meeteth him.
