Ayubu 38
1 Ndipo Yahweh alimwita Ayubu kutoka katika dhoruba kali na kumwambia,
Then answered the Lord vnto Iob out of the whirle winde, and said,
2 “Huyu ni nani aletaye giza katika mipango kwa njia ya maneno bila maarifa?
Who is this that darkeneth the counsell by wordes without knowledge?
3 Basi sasa jifunge kiunoni mwako kama mwanaume kwa kuwa nitakuuliza maswali, nawe lazima unijibu.
Girde vp nowe thy loynes like a man: I will demande of thee and declare thou vnto me.
4 Wewe ulikuwa wapi wakati nilipoitandaza misingi ya dunia? Niambie, kama unao ufahamu zaidi.
Where wast thou when I layd the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast vnderstanding,
5 Je ni nani aliyeamuru vipimo vyake? Niambie, kama unajua, ni nani alivinyosha vipimo juu yake?
Who hath layde the measures thereof, if thou knowest, or who hath stretched the line ouer it:
6 Misingi yake ilitandazwa juu ya nini? Ni nani aliyeliweka jiwe lake la pembeni
Whereupon are the foundations thereof set: or who layed the corner stone thereof:
7 wakati nyota za asubuhi zilipoimba pamoja na wana wote wa Mungu walipopiga kelele kwa furaha?
When the starres of the morning praysed me together, and all the children of God reioyced:
8 Ni nani huifunga bahari kwa milango wakati inapofurika, kana kwamba inatoka katika tumbo,
Or who hath shut vp the Sea with doores, when it yssued and came foorth as out of the wombe:
9 wakati nilipoyafanya mawingu kuwa ni mavazi yake, na giza nene kuwa mkanda wake wa kujifungia?
When I made the cloudes as a couering thereof, and darkenesse as the swadeling bands thereof:
10 Hapo ilikuwa wakati nilipoweka bahari mpaka wangu, na nilipoweka makomeo yake na milango,
When I stablished my commandement vpon it, and set barres and doores,
11 na wakati nilipoiambia, 'Unaweza kuja hapa kutoka mbali, lakini si zaidi; na hapa ndipo nitauweka mpaka kwa fahari ya mawimbi yako.'
And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no farther, and here shall it stay thy proude waues.
12 Je tangu mwanzo wa siku zako, ulishawahi kuigiza asubuhi ianze, na kuyafanya mapambazuko yajue sehemu yake katika mpangilio wa vitu,
Hast thou commanded the morning since thy dayes? hast thou caused the morning to knowe his place,
13 ili kwamba ishikilie sehemu za dunia ili watu waovu watikiswe mbali nayo.
That it might take hold of the corners of the earth, and that the wicked might be shaken out of it?
14 Dunia imebadilishwa katika mwonekano kama udongo unavyobadilika chini ya muhuri; vitu vyote husimama juu yake dhahiri kama cha kibindo cha nguo.
It is turned as clay to facion, and all stand vp as a garment.
15 'Mwanga' wao umeondolewa kutoka kwa watu waovu; na mkono wao ulioinuliwa umevunjwa.
And from the wicked their light shall be taken away, and the hie arme shalbe broken.
16 Je umeshaenda kwenye vyanzo vya maji ya bahari? Je umeshatembea sehemu za chini kabisa za kilindi?
Hast thou entred into the bottomes of the sea? or hast thou walked to seeke out the depth?
17 Je malango ya mauti yamefunuliwa kwako? Je umeshaona malango ya uvuli wa mauti?
Haue the gates of death bene opened vnto thee? or hast thou seene the gates of the shadowe of death?
18 Je umeifahamu dunia katika upana wake? Niambie kama unayajua yote hayo.
Hast thou perceiued the breadth of the earth? tell if thou knowest all this.
19 Je iko wapi njia ya sehemu ya kupumzikia kwa mwanga, na kama ilivyo kwa giza, iko wapi sehemu yake?
Where is the way where light dwelleth? and where is the place of darkenesse,
20 Je unaweza kuuongoza mwanga na giza katika sehemu zake za kazi? Waweza kuitambua njia ya kurudi katika nyumba zao?
That thou shouldest receiue it in the boundes thereof, and that thou shouldest knowe the paths to the house thereof?
21 Bila shaka unajua, kwa kuwa ulizaliwa wakati huo; hesabu ya siku zako ni kubwa sana!
Knewest thou it, because thou wast then borne, and because the nomber of thy dayes is great?
22 Je ulishaingia katika ghala ya barafu, au umeshaiona ghala ya mawe ya mvua,
Hast thou entred into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seene the treasures of ye haile,
23 vitu hivi nimeviweka kwa ajili ya siku za mateso, kwa siku za mapigano na vita?
Which I haue hid against the time of trouble, against the day of warre and battell?
24 Je iko wapi njia ya mshindo wa mwanga hutokea au je upepo husambazwa kutoka mashariki juu ya dunia?
By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the East winde vpon the earth?
25 Ni nani aliyezitengeneza mifereji ya gharika ya mvua, au ni nani aliyezifanya njia za milipuko ya radi,
Who hath deuided the spowtes for the raine? or the way for the lightning of ye thunders,
26 na kuifanya mvua inyeshe juu ya nchi ambazo hakuna mtu aishiye ndani yake, na juu ya jangwa, ambayo ndani yake hakuna mtu yeyote,
To cause it to raine on the earth where no man is, and in the wildernes where there is no man?
27 kwa kusudi la kutimiza mahitaji ya mikoa iliyo kame na yenye ukiwa, na kuyastawisha majani mororo?
To fulfil the wilde and waste place, and to cause the bud of the herbe to spring forth?
28 Je kuna baba wa mvua? Ni nani aliyeyafanya matone ya umande?
Who is the father of the rayne? or who hath begotten the droppes of the dewe?
29 Je barafu ilitoka katika tumbo la nani? Na ni nani aliyeizaa theluji nyeupe katika anga?
Out of whose wombe came the yee? who hath ingendred the frost of the heauen?
30 Maji hujificha menyewe na kuwa kama jiwe; sehemu za juu za vilindi huwa kama barafu.
The waters are hid as with a stone: and the face of the depth is frosen.
31 Je unaweza kuzifunga minyororo ya Kilimia, au kuvifungua vifundo vya Orioni?
Canst thou restraine the sweete influences of the Pleiades? or loose the bandes of Orion?
32 Je unaweza kuziongoza nyota kutokea katika nyakati zake? Je waweza kuongoza dubu pamoja na watoto wake?
Canst thou bring foorth Mazzaroth in their time? canst thou also guide Arcturus with his sonnes?
33 Je unazijua sheria za anga? Wewe uliweza kuanzisha sheria za anga juu ya dunia?
Knowest thou the course of heauen, or canst thou set the rule thereof in the earth?
34 Je waweza kupaza sauti yako hadi mawinguni, ili kwamba maji mengi ya mvua yakufunike?
Canst thou lift vp thy voice to the cloudes that the aboundance of water may couer thee?
35 Je waweza kuagiza miali ya mwanga ili itokee, na kukwambia, 'Sisi tupo hapa'?
Canst thou sende the lightenings that they may walke, and say vnto thee, Loe, heere we are?
36 Ni nani ameweka hekima katika mawingu au ni nani ameweka ufahamu kwa ukungu?
Who hath put wisedome in the reines? or who hath giuen the heart vnderstanding?
37 Nani anaweza kuyahesabu mawingu kwa maarifa yake? Na ni nani awezaye kuvimwaga viriba vya anga
Who can nomber cloudes by wisedome? or who can cause to cease the bottels of heaue,
38 wakati mavumbi yanapoungana kuwa kitu kigumu na mabonge ya dunia yanaposhikama kwa pamoja?
When the earth groweth into hardnesse, and the clottes are fast together?
39 Je waweza kuwinda mawindo kwa ajili ya simba jike au kutosheleza hamu ya watoto wadogo wa simba
Wilt thou hunt the pray for the lyon? or fill the appetite of the lyons whelpes,
40 wakati wanapokwaruza kwaruza katika pango lao na kukaa katika kificho ili kulala katika hali ya kuvizia?
When they couch in their places, and remaine in the couert to lye in waite?
41 Ni nani aletaye mawindo kwa ajili ya kunguru wakati ambapo watoto wao wanapomlilia Mungu na kutangatanga kwa kukosa chakula?
Who prepareth for the rauen his meate, when his birdes crie vnto God, wandering for lacke of meate?
