Ayubu 37
1 Hakika, moyo wangu hutetemeka kwa hili; umeondolewa kutoka katika sehemu yake.
Yea, at this, my heart quaketh, and starteth up out of its place.
2 Sikia, Ee, Sikia kelele za sauti yake, sauti inayotoka katika mdomo wake.
Hear! oh hear! the raging of his voice, A growling sound also, out of his mouth, goeth forth;
3 Huiagiza sauti chini ya mbingu yote, na huutuma mwanga wake katika mipaka ya dunia.
Under the whole heavens, he letteth it loose, His lightning also, unto the wings of the earth;
4 Sauti huunguruma baada yake; yeye huunguruma kwa sauti ya ukuu wake; hauzuii mshindo wa mwanga wakati sauti yake inaposikika.
After it, roareth a voice, He thundereth with his voice of majesty, Nor will he hold them back, when his voice is heard.
5 Mungu huunguruma kwa sauti yake kwa namna ya ajabu; yeye hufanya mambo makubwa ambayo sisi hatuwezi kuyafahamu.
GOD thundereth with his voice, wonderfully, Doing great things, which we cannot know;
6 Kwa kuwa huiambia theluji, 'Angukeni juu ya dunia'; hali kadhalika kwa manyunyu ya mvua, 'Iweni manyunyu makubwa ya mvua.'
For, to the snow, he saith, Fall earthwards, —Also to the downpour of rain, yea the downpour of his mighty rains.
7 Huuzuia mkono wa kila mtu usifanye kazi, ili kwamba watu wote aliowaumba wataona matendo yake.
On the hand of every man, he setteth a seal, that all men may take note of his doing.
8 Kisha hayawani huenda na kujificha na kukaa katika mapango yake.
So then the wild-beast hath gone into covert, and, in its lairs, doth it remain.
9 Dhoruba hutoka katika chumba chake upande wa kusini na baridi kutoka katika pepo zilizotawanyika katika upande wa Kaskazini.
Out of a chamber cometh a storm-wind, and, out of the north, cold.
10 Barafu imetolewa kwa pumzi ya Mungu; upana wa maji umeganda kama chuma.
By the breath of GOD, is given—frost, and, the breadth of waters, is congealed;
11 Hakika, huyapima mawingu manene yenye unyevu; yeye huusambaza mwanga wake katika mawingu.
Also, with moisture, burdeneth he the thick cloud, He disperseth his lightning-cloud;
12 Yeye huyazungusha mawingu kwa uongozi wake, ili yafanye chochote anayoyaagiza juu ya uso wote wa ulimwengu.
Yea, the same, in circles, turneth itself to and fro, by his steering them to their work, whithersoever he commandeth them, over the face of the world, towards the earth.
13 Huyafanya haya yote yatokee; wakati mwingine hutokea kwa ajili ya kusahihisha, wakati mwingine kwa ajili ya nchi yake, na wakati mwingine ni kwa matendo ya agano la uaminifu.
Whether, as a rod, or for his earth, or in lovingkindness, he causeth it to come.
14 Yasikilize haya, Ayubu; acha na ufikiri juu matendo ya ajabu ya Mungu.
Give thou ear unto this, O Job, Stay, and consider well the wonders of GOD: —
15 Je unajua ni kwa namna gani Mungu hushurutisha mawingu na kuufanya mwanga wa radi ung'ae ndani yake?
Canst thou got to know of GOD’S giving charge over them, or of the causing of the lightning of his cloud to shine forth?
16 Je unafahamu kuelea kwa mawingu, matendo ya ajabu ya Mungu, Je ni nani aliyemkamilifu katika maarifa?
Canst thou get to know concerning the poisings of the thick cloud, the wonders of one who is perfect in knowledge?
17 Je unafahamu ni kwa jinsi gani mavazi yako huwa ya moto wakati nchi ikiwa imetulia kwasababu ya upepo unaotoka upande wa kusini?
That thy garments should be hot when he quieteth the earth from the south?
18 Je unaweza kulitandaza anga kama anavyofanya - anga ambalo lina nguvu kama kioo cha chuma kigumu?
Didst thou spread out, with him, the skies, strong as a molten mirror?
19 Tufundishe sisi kile tunachopaswa kumwambia yeye, kwa kuwa hatuwezi kutoa hoja zetu katika mpangilio kwasababu ya kiza katika akili zetu.
Let us know what we shall say to him, We cannot set in order, by reason of darkness.
20 Je anapaswa kuambiwa kwamba ninapenda kuongea naye? Je mtu angependa kumezwa?
Shall it be declared to him—that I would speak? Were any man to say aught, he might he destroyed?
21 Sasa, watu hawawezi kulitazama jua wakati linang'aa katika anga baada ya upepo kupita katikati yake na umelisafisha kwa mawingu yake.
Yet, now, men see not the light, bright though it is in the skies, when, a wind, hath passed over, and cleansed them.
22 Kutoka upande wa kaskazini hutokea fahari ya dhahabu - juu ya Mungu kuna ukuu wa kutisha.
Out of the north, a golden light cometh, Upon GOD, is fearful splendour:
23 Na kuhusu Mwenye nguvu, hatuwezi kumpata; yeye ni mkuu katika nguvu na haki. Yeye hatesi watu.
The Almighty, whom we have not fully found out, is great in vigour, —Neither, justice nor abounding righteousness, will he weaken.
24 Hivyo basi, watu humwogopa. Yeye huwa hawajali wale ambao ni wenye hekima katika akili zao wenyewe.”
Therefore, do men revere him, He will not regard any who are wise in heart.
