Ayubu 36
1 Elihu aliendelea na kusema,
Then continued Elihu, and said,
2 “Niruhusu niseme kidogo zaidi, nami nitakuonesha baadhi ya mambo kwasababu nina maneno machache ya kusema kwa ajili ya Mungu.
Wait for me a little, and I will instruct thee; for [I have] still some words on God's behalf.
3 Nitapata maarifa yangu kutoka mbali; nitatambua kwamba haki ni ya Muumba wangu.
I will lift up my knowledge for him who is afar, and for my Maker will I obtain righteousness.
4 Kwa kweli, maneno yangu hayatakuwa ya uongo; mtu fulani aliyekomaa katika maarifa yu pamoja nawe.
For truly no falsehood is [in] my words: one that is upright in [his] opinions [dealeth now] with thee.
5 Angalia, Mungu ni mwenye nguvu, na hamdharau mtu yeyote; yeye ni mwenye nguvu katika uweza wa ufahamu.
Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: he is mighty in strength of intellect.
6 Yeye huwa hayahifadhi maisha ya watu waovu bali badala yake hufanya yaliyo ya haki kwa wale wanaoteseka.
He permitteth not the wicked to live; but he procureth justice for the afflicted.
7 Haondoi macho yake kwa wenye haki bali badala yake huwaweka juu ya viti vya enzi kama wafalme milele, nao wameinuliwa juu.
He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous; but [he placeth them] with kings on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.
8 Ikiwa wamefungwa minyororo na kunaswa katika kamba za mateso,
And if they be bound in fetters, and if they be entangled in the cords of affliction:
9 kisha huwafunulia kile walichokifanya, na maovu yao na kiburi chao.
Then doth he tell them of their work, and of their transgressions, when they had become strong.
10 Hufungua pia masikio yao kwa ajili ya agizo lake, na huwaamuru wageuke kutoka katika uovu.
And he openeth thus their ear to correction, and saith that they should return from wrong-doing.
11 Ikiwa watamsikiliza na kumwabudu yeye, wataishi katika mafanikio katika siku zao, na miaka yao katika hali ya kuridhika.
If they hearken and serve [him], they will spend their days in happiness, and their years in pleasures.
12 Hata hivyo, kama hawatasikiliza, wataangamia kwa upanga; watakufa kwasababu hawana maarifa.
But if they hearken not, they will pass away through the sword, and they will perish in want of knowledge.
13 Na wale wasiomjua Mungu hutunza hasiria zao katika mioyo; hawaombi msaada hata wakati ambapo Mungu huwafunga.
But the hypocrites in heart persevere in wrath; they will not offer entreaty when he bindeth them:
14 Hawa hufa katika ujana wao; na maisha yao hukoma kati ya makahaba.
Their soul will die in youth, and their life, among the incestuous.
15 Mungu huwainua watu walioonewa kwa njia ya mateso yao; hufungua masikio yao kwa njia ya uonevu wao.
He delivereth the afflicted through his affliction, and openeth through oppression his ear.
16 Kwa hakika, yeye angependa kuwatoa ninyi katika mateso na kuwaweka katika sehemu pana ambapo hakuna masumbufu na mahali ambapo meza yenu ingewekwa ikiwa na chakula kilichojaa mafuta.
And also thee hath he incited away from the jaws of distress into a wide space, on the site of which there is no straitness; and what is set on thy table is full of fatness.
17 Lakini wewe umejaa hukumu juu ya watu waovu; hukumu na haki umeziachilia.
But if thou art full of the judgment of the wicked: [divine] judgment and decree will support each other.
18 Usiuache utajiri ukuvute katika udanganyifu; na sehemu kubwa ya rushwa isikugeuze upande kutoka katika haki.
For there would be fury, If aught were to incite thee to utter an abundance [of rebellious words]; and the greatness of the infliction must not mislead thee.
19 Je utajiri wako waweza kukunufaisha, ili kwamba usiwe katika taabu, au nguvu zako zote za uwezo zaweza kukusaidia?
Will he esteem thy riches? no, not gold ore, nor all the highest forces of strength.
20 Usiutamani usiku ili utende dhambi dhidi ya wengine wakati ambapo mataifa hukatiliwa mbali katika nafasi zao.
Desire then not eagerly the night, when nations pass away in their place.
21 Uwe mwangalifu ili kwamba usigeukie dhambi kwasababu unajaribiwa kwa mateso ili kwamba ukae mbali na dhambi.
Take heed, turn not thyself to wrong-doing, so that thou wouldst choose this because of [thy] affliction.
22 Angalia, Mungu ameinuliwa katika nguvu zake; ni nani aliye mwalimu kama yeye?
Behold, God is exalted by his power: who is an instructer like him?
23 Ni nani alishamwalekeza njia yake? Nani anayeweza kumwambia, 'Wewe umetenda mambo yasiyo ya haki?'
Who hath given him a charge concerning his way? or who hath ever said, Thou hast acted unjustly?
24 Kumbuka kuyasifu matendo yake, ambayo watu wameyaimba.
Reflect, that thou shouldst magnify his work, which [other] men have beheld.
25 Watu wote wameshayatazama hayo matendo, lakini wanayaona tu matendo hayo kwa mbali sana.
All men have looked at it [with astonishment]; the mortal gazeth at it from afar.
26 Tazama, Mungu ni mkuu, lakini sisi hatumfahamu yeye vizuri; hesabu ya miaka yake haihesabiki.
Behold, God is great, and we comprehend him not, the number of his years can truly not be searched out.
27 Kwa kuwa yeye huvuta matone ya maji ili kuyachuja kama mvua katka mvuke wake,
For he taketh away drops of water, which are purified into rain in his mist:
28 ambayo mawingu yake huyamwaga chini na kuyandondosha kwa wingi kwa mwanadamu.
These drop down out of the skies; they distil upon the multitude of men.
29 Hakika, kuna hata mmoja awezaye kuelewa kwa undani kusambaa kwa mawingu na radi kutoka katika nyumba yake?
But [what man] can understand the outspreadings of the clouds? the tumult of his tabernacle?
30 Angalia, hueneza mwanga wake kumzunguka na kufunika mizizi ya bahari.
Behold, he spreadeth out over it his light, and covereth up the roots of the sea.
31 Kwa namna hii huyahukumu mataifa na kuwapa chakula kwa wingi.
For by means of them he judgeth nations, he giveth food in superfluity.
32 Yeye huuijaza mikono yake kwa mwanga mpaka pale anapouamuru kupiga shabaha yake.
[His] hands he covereth with light; and he commandeth it to strike the one who striveth against him.
33 Na muungurumo wake huonya kwa dhoruba, wanyama wanaweza kusikia kuja kwake.
The noise of his storm telleth of it, yea, the cattle also, of the rising tempest.
