Ayubu 33
1 Kwahiyo sasa, nakuomba wewe, Ayubu, usikilize hotuba yangu; sikiliza maneno yangu yote.
Hear, therefore, my discourse, I pray thee, O Job! And attend unto all my words!
2 Tazama sasa, nimeufumbua mdomo wangu; ulimi wangu umesema maneno ndani ya mdomo wangu.
Behold, I am opening my mouth; My tongue is now speaking in my palate.
3 Maneno yangu yatasema uadilifu wa moyo wangu; yatasema kwa unyofu yale ambayo mdomo wangu unayajua.
My words shall be in the uprightness of my heart; My lips shall utter knowledge purely.
4 Roho ya Mungu imeniumba; pumzi ya Mwenye nguvu imenipatia uhai.
The spirit of God made me, And the breath of the Almighty gave me life.
5 Kama unaweza, nijibu; weka maneno yako katika mpangilio mbele yangu na kisha usimame.
If thou art able, answer me; Set thyself in array against me; stand up!
6 Tazama, niko kama wewe ulivyo mbele za Mungu; nimeumbwa pia kutoka katika udongo.
Behold, I, like thee, am a creature of God; I also was formed of clay.
7 Ona, tishio langu halitakufanya wewe uogope; wala mzigo wangu hautakuwa mzito kwako.
Behold, my terror cannot dismay thee, Nor can my greatness be heavy upon thee.
8 Umesema kwa hakika katika masikio yangu; nimeisikia sauti ya maneno yakeo yakisema,
Surely thou hast said in my hearing, I have heard the sound of thy words:
9 'Mimi ni safi na bila hila; sina hatia, na hakuna dhambi ndani yangu.
“I am pure, and without transgression; I am clean, and there is no iniquity in me.
10 Tazama, Mungu huona nafasi za kunishambulia mimi; huniangalia mimi kama adui yake.
Behold, He seeketh causes of hostility against me; He regardeth me as his enemy.
11 Huweka miguu yangu akiba; naye huangalia njia zangu zote.'
He putteth my feet in the stocks; He watcheth all my paths.”
12 Tazama, katika hili hauko sawa, nitakujibu, kwa kuwa Mungu ni mkuu kuliko mtu.
Behold, in this thou art not right; I will answer thee; For God is greater than man.
13 Kwanini unashindana naye? Huwa hahesabu matendo yake yoyote.
Why dost thou contend with Him? For he giveth no account of any of his doings.
14 Kwa kuwa Mungu huzungumza mara moja, naam, mara mbili, ingawa mwanadamu hawezi kutambua.
For God speaketh once, Yea, twice, when man regardeth it not.
15 Katika ndoto, katika maono ya usiku, wakati usingizi mzito unapowapata watu, katika usingizi kitandani -
In a dream, in a vision of the night, When deep sleep falleth upon men, In slumber upon the bed;
16 basi Mungu hufungua masikio ya watu, na kuwatisha kwa vitisho,
Then openeth he the ears of men, And sealeth up for them admonition;
17 kwa kusudi la kumvuta mtu atoke katika makusudio yake maovu, na kuyaweka majivuno mbali naye.
That he may turn man from his purpose, And hide pride from man.
18 Mungu huyaokoa maisha ya mwanadamu kutoka katika shimo, na uhai wake dhidi ya kifo.
Thus he saveth him from the pit, Yea, his life from perishing by the sword.
19 Mtu huadhidibiwa pia na maumivu kitandani mwake, na maumivu makali yanayodumu katika mifupa yake,
He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, And with a continual agitation of his bones,
20 ili kwamba maisha yake yachukie chakula, na roho yake ichukie vyakula vizuri.
So that his mouth abhorreth bread, And his taste the choicest food;
21 Nyama yake imeharibiwa ili kwamba usionekane; mifupa yake, mara moja isionekane, sasa basi ng'ang'ania.
His flesh is consumed, that it cannot be seen, And his bones, that were invisible, are naked;
22 Hakika, roho yake inasogea shimoni, na uhai wake unasogea kwa wale wanaotaka kuuharibu.
Yea, his soul draweth near to the pit, And his life to the destroyers.
23 Lakini kama kuna malaika anayeweza kuwa mpatanishi kwa ajili yake, mpatanishi mmoja miongoni mwa maelfu ya malaika, kumwonesha kile kilicho cha haki ili atende haki,
But if there be with him a messenger, An interpreter, one of a thousand, Who may show unto man his duty,
24 na kama malaika ni mpole kwake na kumwambia Mungu, 'Mwokoe mtu huyu ili asishuke chini shimoni; nimepata fidia kwa ajili yake,'
Then will God be gracious to him, and say, “Save him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.”
25 kisha mwili wake utakuwa mororo kuliko mwili wa mtoto, atazirudia siku za nguvu za ujana wake.
His flesh shall became fresher than a child's; He shall return to the days of his youth.
26 Atamwomba Mungu, na Mungu atakuwa mwema kwake, ili kwamba auone uso wa Mungu akiwa mwenye furaha. Mungu atampa mtu ushindi wake.
He shall pray to God, and he will be favorable to him, And permit him to see his face with joy, And restore unto man his righteousness.
27 Ndipo mtu huyo ataimba mbele ya watu wengine na kusema, 'Nilitenda dhambi na kuasi kile kilichokuwa cha haki, lakini dhambi yangu haikuadhibiwa.
He shall sing among men, and say, “I sinned; I acted perversely; Yet hath he not requited me for it:
28 Mungu ameiokoa roho yangu isiende chini shimoni; maisha yangu yataendelea kuuona mwanga.'
He hath delivered me from going down to the pit, And my life beholdeth the light.”
29 Tazama, Mungu hufanya mambo haya yote pamoja na mwanadamu, mara mbili, naam, hata mara tatu,
Lo! all these things doeth God Time after time with man,
30 kuirudisha roho yake kutoka shimoni, ili kwamba aweze kumlikwa na mwanga wa maisha.
That he may bring him back from the pit, That he may enjoy the light of the living.
31 Ayubu, zingatia na unisikilize mimi; nyamaza nami nitasema.
Mark well, O Job! hearken to me! Keep silence, and I will speak.
32 Ikiwa una kitu cha kusema, na unijibu; sema, maana nataka kuhakikisha kwamba wewe uko katika haki.
Yet if thou hast any thing to say, answer me! Speak! for I desire to pronounce thee innocent.
33 Kama sivyo, basi nisikilize, ubaki kimya, nami nitakufundisha wewe hekima.”
But if not, do thou listen to me! Keep silence, and I will teach thee wisdom!
