Ayubu 21
1 Kisha Ayubu akajibu na kusema,
But Job answered and said,
2 “Sikilizeni hotuba yangu kwa makini, hii na iwe faraja yenu.
Hear ye, hear ye my words, that I may not have this consolation from you.
3 Nimeteswa, lakini pia nitasema; nikisha kusema, endeleeni kudhihaki.
Raise me, and I will speak; then ye shall not laugh me to scorn.
4 Lakini kwangu mimi, malalamikio yangu ni kwa mtu? Kwa nini nisiwe mwenye subira?
What! is my reproof of man? and why should I not be angry?
5 Nitazameni na mshangae, nanyi wekeni mkono wenu midomoni mwenu.
Look upon me, and wonder, laying your hand upon your cheek.
6 Ninapoyafikiria mateso yangu, ninaumizwa, mwili wangu unaogopa.
For even when I remember, I am alarmed, and pains seize my flesh.
7 Kwa nini waovu wanaendelea kuishi, wanazeeka, na kuwa na uwezo katika madaraka?
Wherefore do the ungodly live, and grow old even in wealth?
8 Wazao wao wanathibitishwa mbele zao, na uzao wao unaimarika machoni pao.
Their seed is according to [their] desire, and their children are in [their] sight.
9 Nyumba zao ziko salama mbali na hofu; wala fimbo ya Mungu haiko juu yao.
Their houses are prosperous, neither [have they] any where [cause for] fear, neither is there a scourge from the Lord upon them.
10 Dume lao la ng'ombe linazalisha; halishindwi kufanya hivyo; ng'ombe wao anazaa na hafishi ndama wake akiwa mchanga.
Their cow does not cast her calf, and their [beast] with young is safe, and does not miscarry.
11 Wanawapeleka wadogo wao kama kundi la kondoo, na watoto wao hucheza.
And they remain as an unfailing flock, and their children play before [them], taking up the psaltery and harp;
12 Wanaimba kwa tari na vinubi na hufurahi kwa muziki na zomari.
and they rejoice at the voice of a song.
And they spend their days in wealth, and fall asleep in the rest of the grave. (Sheol h7585)
14 Wanamwambia Mungu, 'Ondoka kwetu kwani hatutaki ufahamu wowote juu ya njia zako.
Yet [such a man] says to the Lord, Depart from me; I desire not to know thy ways.
15 Mwenye enzi ni nani, hata tumwabudu? Tutafaidika na nini tukimwabudu? Tutapata faida gani ikiwa tutamwomba?
What is the Mighty One, that we should serve him? and what profit is there that we should approach him?
16 Tazama, je mafanikio yao hayamo katika mikono yao wenyewe? Sina cha kufanya na ushauri wa waovu.
For their good things were in [their] hands, but he regards not the works of the ungodly.
17 Mara ngapi taa za waovu huzimwa, au kwamba majanga huja juu yao? Mara ngapi inatokea kwamba Mungu husambaza huzuni kwao kwa hasira?
Nevertheless, the lamp of the ungodly also shall be put out, and destruction shall come upon them, and pangs of vengeance shall seize them.
18 Ni mara ngapi inatokea kwamba wanakuwa kama mabua mbele ya upepo au kama makapi yanayopeperushwa na dhoruba?
And they shall be as chaff before the wind, or as dust which the storm has taken up.
19 Mnasema, 'Mungu huweka hatia ya mtu kwa watoto wake kuilipa.' Na alipe yeye mwenyewe, ili kwamba aweze kujua hatia yake mwenyewe.
Let his substance fail [to supply] his children: [God] shall recompense him, and he shall know it.
20 Acha macho yake yaone uangamivu wake mwenyewe, na acha anywe gadhabu ya Mwenyezi.
Let his eyes see his own destruction, and let him not be saved by the Lord.
21 Kwani anaangaliaje familia yake mbele yake idadi ya miezi yake inapokwisha.
For his desire is in his house with him, and the number of his months has been suddenly cut off.
22 Je kuna mtu anaweza kumfundisha Mungu maarifa kwa kuwa yeye huwaukumu hata walio juu?
Is it not the Lord who teaches understanding and knowledge? and does not he judge murders?
23 Mtu mmoja ufa katika nguvu zake kamili, akiwa na utulivu kabisa na kwa amani.
One shall die in his perfect strength, and wholly at ease and prosperous;
24 Mwili wake hauna uhitaji, na kiini cha mifupa yake ina unyevu na afya njema.
and his inwards are full of fat, and his marrow is diffused [throughout him].
25 Mtu mwingine ufa kwa uchungu wa nafsi, bila kujifurahisha kwa jambo lolote jema.
And another dies in bitterness of soul, not eating any good thing.
26 Wanazikwa kaburini wote kwa pamoja, funza wanawafunika wote.
But they lie down in the earth together, and corruption covers them.
27 Tazama, nayajua mawazo yenu, na jinsi mnavyotaka kunikosesha.
So I know you, that ye presumptuously attack me:
28 Kwa kuwa mwasema, 'Iko wapi sasa nyumba ya mwana wa mfalme? Liko wapi kao alipokaa mwovu?'
so that ye will say, Where is the house of the prince? and where is the covering of the tabernacles of the ungodly?
29 Je hamjawauliza wasafiri? Hamfahamu wanavyoweza kusema,
Ask those that go by the way, and do not disown their tokens.
30 kwamba mwovu anaepushwa na siku ya shida, na kwamba anawekwa mbali na siku ya gadhabu?
For the wicked hastens to the day of destruction: they shall be led away for the day of his vengeance.
31 Ni nani atakaye ituhumu siku ya mwovu mbele yake? Ni nani atakayemwadhibu kwa alichokifanya?
Who will tell him his way to his face, whereas he has done [it]? who shall recompense him?
32 Hata hivyo atapelekwa kaburini; watu wataliona kaburi lake.
And he has been led away to the tombs, and he has watched over the heaps.
33 Udongo wa bondeni utakuwa mtamu kwake; watu wote watamfuata, hata kuwe na watu wengi mbele yake.
The stones of the valley have been sweet to him, and every man shall depart after him, and [there are] innumerable [ones] before him.
34 Ni jinsi gani basi mtanifariji bila kufikiri, kwa kuwa majibu yenu hayana lolote ila uongo?”
How then do ye comfort me in vain? whereas I have no rest from your molestation.
