Ayubu 20
1 Ndipo Sofari, Mnaamathi alijibu na kusema,
Then responded Zophar the Naamathite, and said: —
2 “Mawazo yangu yananifanya mimi nijibu kwa haraka kwa sababu ya mashaka yaliyomo ndani yangu mimi.
Not so, do my thoughts answer me, and to this end, is my haste within me:
3 Mimi ninasikia kukemewa ambako kunaniondolea heshima mimi, lakini roho kutoka katika ufahamu wangu hunijibu mimi.
The correction meant to confound me, I must hear, but, the spirit—out of my understanding, will give me a reply.
4 Je, unafahamu kwamba ukweli huu kutoka enzi za kale, wakati Mungu alipomweka mwanadamu juu ya nchi:
Knowest thou, this—from antiquity, from the placing of man upon earth: —
5 ushindi wa mtu mwovu ni mfupi, na furaha ya mtu asiyemcha Mungu hudumu kwa kitambo tu?
That, the joy-shout of the lawless, is short, and, the rejoicing of the impious, for a moment?
6 Ingawa urefu wake yeye hufikia juu kwenye mbingu, na kichwa chake yeye kufikia kwenye mawingu,
Though his elevation mount up to the heavens, and, his head, to the clouds, doth reach,
7 bado mtu huyo atapotea siku zote kama mavi yake yeye mwenyewe; wale waliokuwa wamemuona yeye watasema, 'Yuko wapi yeye'?
Like his own stubble, shall he utterly perish, They who had seen him, shall say, Where is he?
8 Yeye atapaa mbali kama ndoto na hataonekana; ndivyo ilivyo, yeye atakuwa amefukuzwa mbali kama ono la
Like a dream, shall he fly away, and they shall not find him, yea he shall be chased away, as a vision of the night.
9 usiku. Jicho ambalo lilimuona yeye halitamuona yeye tena; mahali pake hapatamuona yeye tena.
The eye that hath scanned him, shall not do it again, neither, any more, shall his place behold him:
10 Watoto wake wataomba msamaha kwa watu maskini, mikono yake itaweza kurudisha utajiri wake.
His children, shall seek the favour of the poor, and, his own hand, shall give back his wealth.
11 Mifupa yake imejaa nguvu za ujanani, lakini zitalala naye chini katika mavumbi.
His bones, are full of youthful vigour, yet, with him—in the dust, shall it lie down.
12 Japokuwa uovu ni mtamu katika mdomo wake yeye, japokuwa yeye anauficha chini ya ulimi wake yeye,
Though, a sweet taste in his mouth, be given by vice, though he hide it under his tongue;
13 japokuwa anaushikilia pale na hauruhusu kwenda lakini bado huushikilia katika mdomo wake yeye -
Though he spare it, and will not let it go, but retain it in the midst of his mouth,
14 chakula katika koromeo lake yeye hugeuka kuwa uchungu; hugeuka kuwa sumu ya majoka ndani yake yeye.
His food, in his stomach, is changed, the gall of adders, within him!
15 Yeye humeza chini utajiri, lakini yeye atautapika tena; Mungu atautoa nje kutoka katika tumbo lake yeye.
Wealth, hath he swallowed, and hath vomited the same, Out of his belly, shall, GOD, drive it forth:
16 Yeye atamumunya sumu ya majoka; ulimi wa nyoka mwenye sumu utamwua yeye.
The poison of adders, shall he suck, The tongue of the viper shall slay him;
17 Yeye hatafurahia vijito vya maji, wingi wa asali na siagi.
Let him not see in the channels the flowings of torrents of honey and milk.
18 Yeye atayarudisha matunda ya kazi yake na hataweza kuyala; yeye hatafurahia utajiri alioupata kwa biashara zake yeye.
In vain, he toiled, he shall not swallow, like wealth to be restored, in which he cannot exult!
19 Kwa kuwa yeye amewakandamiza na kuwasahau watu maskini; yeye kwa uonevu, amezichukua mbali nyumba ambazo hakuzijenga yeye.
For he hath oppressed—hath forsaken the poor, A house, hath he seized, which he cannot rebuild.
20 Kwa sababu yeye mwenyewe hakujua utoshelevu wowote, yeye hataweza kuokoa kitu chochote katika kile ambacho alijifurahisha.
Surely he hath known no peace in his inmost mind, —With his dearest thing, shall he not get away:
21 Hakuna chochote kilichoachwa ambacho yeye hakukimeza; kwa hiyo mafanikio yake yeye hayatakuwa ya kudumu.
Nothing escaped his devouring greed, —For this cause, shall his prosperity not continue:
22 katika wingi wa utajiri wake yeye ataanguka katika mahangaiko; mkono wa kila mmoja ambaye yuko katika umaskini utakuja kinyume chake yeye.
When his abundance is gone, he shall be in straits, All the power of distress, shall come upon him.
23 Wakati akiwa katika kulijaza tumbo lake, Mungu atatupa hasira ya ghadhabu yake juu yake yeye; Mungu ataunyeshea chini juu yake yeye wakati yeye anakula.
It shall be that, to fill his belly, he will thrust at him the glow of his anger, and rain [it] upon him for his punishment.
24 Ingawa mtu huyo atakimbia kutoka katika silaha ya chuma, upinde wa shaba utampiga yeye.
He shall flee from the armour of iron, —There shall pierce him, a bow of bronze!
25 Mshale utatoboa kupitia mgongoni mwake na utatokezea; ni dhahiri, ncha inayong'ra itatokezea nje kupitia ini lake yeye; watesi huja tena juu yake.
He hath drawn it out, and it hath come forth out of his back, —yea the flashing arrow-head, out of his gall, There shall march on him—terrors:
26 Giza lliilo kamilika limetunzwa kwa akiba zake; moto usiopulizwa utamla yeye kwa haraka; utameza kile kilichoachwa katika hema yake.
Every misfortune, is laid up for his treasures, —There shall consume, a fire, not blown up, —it shall destroy what remaineth in his tent:
27 Mbingu zitauweka wazi uovu wake, na nchi itainuka juu dhidi yake yeye kama shahidi.
The heavens shall reveal his iniquity, and, the earth, be rising up against him:
28 Utajiri wa nyumba yake utatoweka; bidhaa zake zitamwagika mbali siku ya ghadhabu ya Mungu.
The increase of his house shall vanish, melting away in the day of his anger.
29 Hii ndiyo sehemu ya mtu mwovu kutoka kwa Mungu, urithi uliotunzwa akiba na Mungu kwa ajili yake yeye.”
This, is the portion of the lawless man, from God, and the inheritance decreed him from the Mighty One.
