Ayubu 17
1 Roho yangu imemezwa, na siku zangu zimekwisha; kaburi lipo tayari kwa ajili yangu mimi.
My spirit, is broken, My days, are extinguished, Graves, are left me.
2 Hakika kuna wenye mzaha pamoja nami; ni lazima daima jicho langu litazame kukasirisha kwao.
Verily there are mockers, with me! And, on their insults, mine eye doth rest.
3 Nipe sasa ahadi, uwe uthibitisho kwangu mimi pamoja na wewe mwenyewe; nani mwingine yuko pale ambaye atanisaidia mimi?
Appoint it, I pray thee—be thou surety for me with thyself, Who is there that, on my side, can pledge himself?
4 Kwa kuwa wewe Mungu umemeitunza mioyo yao kutoka katika ufahamu; kwa hiyo, wewe hautawaheshimisha wao juu yangu mimi.
For, their heart, hast thou kept back from understanding, On this account, thou wilt not exalt them.
5 Yeye ambaye huwapinga rafiki zake hadharani, kwa ajili ya tuzo, macho ya watoto wake yatashindwa kuona.
He that, for a share, denounceth friends, even, the eyes of his children, shall be dim.
6 Lakini amenifanya mimi kuwa neno la kuzungumziwa na watu; wao wananitemea mate katika uso wangu mimi.
But he hath set me, as the byword of peoples, And, one to be spit on in the face, do I become.
7 Jicho langu pia halioni vizuri kwa sababu ya huzuni; sehemu zangu zote za mwili ni nyembamba kama vivuli.
Therefore hath mine eye become dim from vexation, and, my members, are like a shadow, all of them.
8 Watu wanyoofu watapendezwa na hiki; mtu asiye na hatia atajitia yeye mwenyewe juu ya kushindana dhidi ya watu wasiomcha Mungu.
Upright men shall be astounded over this, and, the innocent, against the impious, shall rouse themselves.
9 Mtu mwenye haki ataendelea katika njia yake; yeye ambaye ana mikono iliyo safi ataendelea kuwa mwenye nguvu zaidi na zaidi.
That the righteous may hold on his way, and, the clean of hands, increase in strength.
10 Lakini kama ilivyo kwenu ninyi nyote, njooni sasa; Mimi sitampata mtu mwenye hekima miongoni mwenu ninyi.
But indeed, as for them all, will ye bethink yourselves and enter into it, I pray you? Or shall I not find, among you, one who is wise?
11 Siku zangu zimepita; mipango yangu imenyamazishwa na hivyo ni matumaini ya moyo wangu.
My days, are past, my purposes, are broken off, the possessions of my heart!
12 Watu hawa, wenye kukejeli, badili usiku kuwa mchana; mchana uko karibu kuwa giza.
Night for day, they appoint, Light, is near, by reason of darkness!
13 Tangu mimi nitazame katika Kuzimu kama nyumbani kwangu; tangu Mimi nimetandaza kiti changu katika giza; (Sheol h7585)
If I wait for hades as my house, in darkness, have spread out my couch; (Sheol h7585)
14 tangu Mimi nimesema na shimo 'Wewe ni baba yangu,' na kwa funza, 'Wewe ni mama yangu au dada yangu;
To corruption, have exclaimed, My father, thou! My mother! and My sister! to the worm.
15 liko wapi tena tumaini langu? Kama kwa tumaini langu, nani awezaye kuona chochote?
Where then would be my hope? And, as for my blessedness, who should see it!
