Ayubu 15
1 Ndipo Elifazi Mtemani alijibu na kusema,
Forsothe Eliphat Themanytes answeride, and seide,
2 Mtu mwenye hekima anapaswa kujibu kwa maarifa yasiyofaa na kujijaza mwenyewe na upepo wa mashariki?
Whether a wise man schal answere, as spekynge ayens the wynd, and schal fille his stomac with brennyng, `that is, ire?
3 Anapaswa kuhojiana na mazungumzo yasiyo na faida au na hotuba ambazo kwa hizo yeye hawezi kufanya mema?
For thou repreuest hym bi wordis, which is not lijk thee, and thou spekist that, that spedith not to thee.
4 Dhahiri, wewe wafifisha heshima ya Mungu; Wewe wazuia heshima kwa yeye,
As myche as is in thee, thou hast avoidid drede; and thou hast take awey preyeris bifor God.
5 kwa maana uovu wako hufundisha midomo yako; Wewe wachagua kuwa na ulimi wa mtu mwenye hila.
For wickidnesse hath tauyt thi mouth, and thou suest the tunge of blasfemeris.
6 Mdomo wako mwenyewe hukukukumu wewe, siyo wangu; hakika, midomo yako mwenyewe hushuhudia dhidi yako wewe.
Thi tunge, and not Y, schal condempne thee, and thi lippis schulen answere thee.
7 Je, wewe ni mwanadamu wa kwanza ambaye aliyezaliwa? Wewe ulikuwepo kabla ya vilima kuwepo?
Whether thou art borun the firste man, and art formed bifor alle little hillis?
8 Wewe Umewahi kusikia maarifa ya siri ya Mungu? Je, wewe wajihesabia mwenye hekima wewe mwenyewe?
Whether thou herdist the counsel of God, and his wisdom is lower than thou?
9 Ni kitu gani unachokifahamu wewe ambacho sisi hatukijui? Ni kitu gani unachokifahamu wewe ambacho hakiko katika sisi?
What thing knowist thou, whiche we knowen not? What thing vndurstondist thou, whiche we witen not?
10 Pamoja nasi wapo pia wenye mvi na watu wazee sana ambao ni wazee zaidi kuliko baba yako.
Bothe wise men and elde, myche eldre than thi fadris, ben among vs.
11 Je, faraja ya Mungu ni ndogo sana kwako, maneno ambayo ni ya upole dhidi yako wewe?
Whether it is greet, that God coumforte thee? But thi schrewid wordis forbeden this.
12 Kwa nini moyo wako wewe unakupeleka mbali? Kwa nini macho yako yananga'ra,
What reisith thin herte thee, and thou as thenkynge grete thingis hast iyen astonyed?
13 ili ya kwamba kuirejesha roho yako kwa Mungu na kuyatoa maneno hayo kutoka katika mdomo wako?
What bolneth thi spirit ayens God, that thou brynge forth of thi mouth siche wordis?
14 Je, mwanadamu yeye ni nini kwamba yeye anapaswa kuwa safi? Yeye mwanadamu aliyezaliwa na mwanamke ni nini kwamba yeye anapaswa awe mwenye haki?
What is a man, that he be with out wem, and that he borun of a womman appere iust?
15 Tazama, Mungu haweki tumaini lake hata kwa mmoja wake aliye mtakatifu; Hakika, mbingu haziko safi machoni pake yeye;
Lo! noon among hise seyntis is vnchaungable, and heuenes ben not cleene in his siyt.
16 jinsi gani asivyo safi ni mmoja aliye mbaya na mla rushwa, mtu ambaye hunywa uovu kama maji!
How myche more a man abhomynable and vnprofitable, that drynkith wickidnesse as water?
17 Mimi nitakuonyesha wewe; Nisikilize mimi; Mimi nitakutangazia wewe vitu ambavyo nimeviona,
I schal schewe to thee, here thou me; Y schal telle to thee that, that Y siy.
18 vitu ambavyo watu wenye hekima wamepita chini yake kutoka kwa baba zao, vile vitu ambavyo mababu zao hawakuvificha.
Wise men knoulechen, and hiden not her fadris.
19 Hawa walikuwa mababu zao, ambao kwao pekee nchi walipewa, na miongoni mwao hakuna mgeni aliyepita.
To whiche aloone the erthe is youun, and an alien schal not passe bi hem.
20 Mtu mwovu hupitia katika maumivu siku zake zote, idadi ya miaka iliyowekwa juu kwa mtesaji kuteseka.
A wickid man is proud in alle hise daies; and the noumbre of hise yeeris and of his tirauntrie is vncerteyn.
21 Sauti ya vitisho katika masikio yake; pindi yeye yuko katika kufanikiwa, mharibu atakuja juu yake yeye.
The sown of drede is euere in hise eeris, and whanne pees is, he supposith euere tresouns.
22 Yeye hafikiri kwamba yeye atarudi kutoka katika giza; Upanga humngojea yeye.
He bileueth not that he may turne ayen fro derknessis to liyt; and biholdith aboute on ech side a swerd.
23 Yeye huenda sehemu mbali mbali kwa ajili ya mkate, akisema, 'Kiko wapi? ' Yeye anatambua kuwa siku ya giza iko mkononi.
Whanne he stirith hym to seke breed, he woot, that the dai of derknessis is maad redi in his hond.
24 Dhiki na mateso makali humfanya aogope; wao hushinda dhidi yake yeye, kama mfalme tayari kwa vita.
Tribulacioun schal make hym aferd, and angwisch schal cumpas hym, as a kyng which is maad redi to batel.
25 Kwa sababu yeye ameunyosha mkono wake dhidi ya Mungu na ameishi kwa kiburi dhidi ya aliye mkuu,
For he helde forth his hond ayens God, and he was maad strong ayens Almyyti God.
26 huyu mtu mwovu hukimbia kwa Mungu na shingo ngumu, kwa vifundo vikubwa vya ngao.
He ran with neck reisid ayens God, and he was armed with fat nol.
27 Hii ni kweli, hata ingawa yeye amefunika uso wake kwa mafuta yake na amekusanya mafuta juu ya viuno vyake,
Fatnesse, that is, pride `comyng forth of temporal aboundaunce, hilide his face, `that is, the knowyng of vndurstondyng, and outward fatnesse hangith doun of his sidis.
28 na ameishi katika miji yenye ukiwa; katika nyumba ambazo hakuna mwanadamu anayeishi humo sasa na ambazo zilikuwa tayari kuwa magofu.
He schal dwelle in desolat citees, and in deseert, `ethir forsakun, housis, that ben turned in to biriels.
29 Yeye hatakuwa tajiri; utajiri wake yeye hautadumu; hata kivuli chake hakitadumu katika nchi.
He schal not be maad riche, nether his catel schal dwelle stidefastli; nether he schal sende his roote in the erthe,
30 Yeye hatatoka nje ya giza; mwali wa moto utakausha matawi yake; katika pumzi ya kinywa cha Mungu yeye ataenda zake.
nether he schal go awei fro derknessis. Flawme schal make drie hise braunchis, and he schal be takun a wey bi the spirit of his mouth.
31 Mwacheni yeye asitumaini katika vitu visivyofanya kazi, akijidanganya yeye mwenyewe; maana upuuzi utakuwa mshahara wake yeye.
Bileue he not veynli disseyued bi errour, that he schal be ayenbouyt bi ony prijs.
32 Itatokea kabla ya wakati wake yeye atapaswa kufa; tawi lake halitakuwa kijani.
Bifor that hise daies ben fillid, he schal perische, and hise hondis schulen wexe drye;
33 Yeye atazipukutisha zabibu zake zisizovunwa kama mzabibu; yeye atayaondoa maua yake kama mti wa mzeituni.
he schal be hirt as a vyne in the firste flour of his grape, and as an olyue tre castinge awei his flour.
34 Kwa maana msaada wa watu wasiomcha Mungu utakuwa tasa; moto utateketeza hema za rushwa.
For the gaderyng togidere of an ipocrite is bareyn, and fier schal deuoure the tabernaclis of hem, that taken yiftis wilfuli.
35 Wao wanabeba mimba yenye ubaya na kuzaa uovu; tumbo lao hutunga mimba ya udanganifu.
He conseyuede sorewe, and childide wickidnesse, and his wombe makith redi tretcheries.
