Yeremia 39
1 Katika mwaka wa tisa na mwezi wa kumi wa Sedekia mfalme wa Yuda, Nebukadreza mfalme wa Babeli alikuja pamoja na jeshi lake lote dhidi ya Yerusalem na kuizingira.
In the year ninth of Zedekiah [the] king of Judah in the month tenth he came Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon and all army his to Jerusalem and they laid siege on it.
2 Katika mwaka wa kumi na moja na mwezi wa nne wa Sekeia, siku ya tisa ya mwezi, mji uliharibiwa.
In one [plus] ten year of Zedekiah in the month fourth on [day] nine of the month it was broken into the city.
3 Kisha maafisa wote wa mfalme wa Babeli walikuja na kukaa kwenye lango la katikati: Nergali Sharezeri, Samgari Nebo, na Sarsechimu, afisa muhimu. Nerga Sharezeri alikuwa afisa mkuu na wote waliobaki maafisa wa mfalme wa Babeli.
And they came all [the] officials of [the] king of Babylon and they sat in [the] gate of the middle Nergal-Shar-ezer Samgar Nebu Sar-sekim [the] Rab-saris Nergal-Shar-ezer [the] Rab-mag and all [the] rest of [the] officials of [the] king of Babylon.
4 Ilitokea kwamba wakati Sedekia, mfalme wa Yuda, na wanaume wapiganaji wake wote walipowaona, walikimbia. Walitoka nje usiku toka kwenye mji kwa njia ya bustani ya mfalme, kupitia lango la kati la kuta mbili. Mfalme alitoka nje katika mwelekeo wa Arabah.
And it was just when he saw them Zedekiah [the] king of Judah and all - [the] men of war and they fled and they went out night from the city [the] way of [the] garden of the king in a gate between the two walls and he went out [the] way of the Arabah.
5 Lakini jeshi la Wakaldayo walimfatilia na kumpata Sedekia kwenye tambarare za mto Yordani karibu na Yeriko. Kisha walimshika na kumleta kwa Nebukadreza, mfalme wa Babeli, Riblah kwenye nchi ya Hamath, ambapo Nebukadreza alipitisha sentensi juu yake.
And they pursued [the] army of [the] Chaldeans after them and they overtook Zedekiah in [the] plains of Jericho and they seized him and they brought up him to Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon Riblah towards in [the] land of Hamath and he spoke with him judgments.
6 Mfalme wa Babeli alimchinja binti wa Sedekia mbele ya macho yake huko Ribla. Pia aliwachinja wanaume wote wa heshima wa Yuda.
And he slaughtered [the] king of Babylon [the] sons of Zedekiah at Riblah to eyes his and all [the] nobles of Judah he slaughtered [the] king of Babylon.
7 Kisha alingoa macho ya Sedekia na kumfunga mnyororo wa shaba ili kusudi kumpeleka Babeli.
And [the] eyes of Zedekiah he made blind and he bound him with bronze fetters to take him Babylon towards.
8 Kisha Wakaldayo walichoma nyumba ya mfalme na nyumba za watu. Pia walivunja kuta za Yerusalem.
And [the] house of the king and [the] house of the people they burned the Chaldeans with fire and [the] walls of Jerusalem they broke down.
9 Nebukadreza, nahodha wa walinzi wa mfalme, waliwachukua katika mateka watu wengine waliobaki katika mji. Hii ilijumuisha watu waliotoka jangwa kwenda Wakaldayo na watu wengine walioachwa katika mji.
And [the] rest of the people who remained in the city and those [who] had fallen who they had fallen on him and [the] rest of the people who remained he took into exile Nebuzar-adan [the] chief of [the] bodyguards Babylon.
10 Lakini Nebukadreza nahodha wa walinzi wa mfalme aliwaruhusu watu maskini ambayo hawakuwa na chochote wao kubaki katika chi ya Yuda. Aliwapa mashamba ya mizabibu na maeneo katika siku ile.
And some of the people poor who not [belonged] to them anything he left Nebuzaradan [the] chief of [the] bodyguards in [the] land of Judah and he gave to them vineyards and fields on the day that.
11 Nebukadreza mfalme wa Babeli alikuwa ametoa amri kuhusu Yeremia kwa Nebuzaradani nahodha wa walinzi wa mfalme. Alikuwa amesema,
And he commanded Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon on Jeremiah by [the] hand of Nebuzaradan [the] chief of [the] bodyguards saying.
12 “Mchukue na umjali. Usimdhuru. Fanya kwa ajili yake chochote anachokuambia.”
Take him and eyes your set on him and may not you do to him anything harmful that (*Q(K)*) just as he will say to you so do with him.
13 Basi Nebuzaradani nahodha wa walinzi wa mfalme, Nebushazbani mkuu wa matoashi, Nergali Sharezeri afisa mkuu, na wote maafisa wa muhimu wa mfalme wa Babeli walituma watu nje.
And he sent Nebuzaradan [the] chief of [the] bodyguards and Nebushazban [the] Rab-saris and Nergal-Shar-ezer [the] Rab-mag and all [the] chiefs of [the] king of Babylon.
14 Watu wao walimchukua Yeremia kutoka uwanja wa mlinzi na kumkabidhi kwa Gedalia mwana wa Ahikami mwana wa Shafani, kumchua nyumbani, basi Yeremia alibaki miongoni mwa watu.
And they sent and they fetched Jeremiah from [the] courtyard of the guard and they gave over him to Gedaliah [the] son of Ahikam [the] son of Shaphan to take out him to the house and he remained in among the people.
15 Sasa neno la Yahwe lilikuwa limekuja kwa Yeremia wakati alipokuwa chini ya kifungo kwenye uwanja wa mlinzi, na alisema,
And to Jeremiah it had come [the] word of Yahweh when was he shut up in [the] courtyard of the guard saying.
16 “Zungumza kwa Ebedi Meleki Mkushi na sema, 'Yahwe wa majeshi, Mungu wa Israel, asema hivi: Ona, Nimekaribia kubeba maneno yangu dhidi ya mji huu kwa ajili ya janga na si kwa uzuri. Kwa kuwa yatakuwa kweli mbele yako katika siku hiyo.
Go and you will say to Ebed Melech the Cushite saying thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel here I ([am] about to bring *Q(k)*) words my against the city this for harm and not for good and they will happen before you on the day that.
17 Lakini nitakuokoa katika siku hiyo - hili ni tamko la Yahwe - na hautatiwa katika mkono wa wanaume ambayo unawaogopa.
And I will deliver you on the day that [the] utterance of Yahweh and not you will be given in [the] hand of the people whom you [are] fearful of them.
18 Kwa kuwa nitakuokoa hakika. Hautaanguka kwa upanga. Utatoroka pamoja na maisha yako, kwani unanitumaini - hili lilikuwa tamko la Yahwe.”
For certainly I will rescue you and by the sword not you will fall and it will belong to you life your to plunder for you trusted in me [the] utterance of Yahweh.
