Yeremia 36
1 Ilikuja tokea katika mwaka wa nne wa Yehoyakimu mwana wa Yosiah mfalme wa Yuda, kwamba neno hili lilikuja kwa Yeremiah kutoka kwa Yahwe, na alisema,
And it was in the year fourth of Jehoiakim [the] son of Josiah [the] king of Judah it came the word this to Jeremiah from with Yahweh saying.
2 “Chukua kitabu kwa ajili yako na uandike juu yake maneno yote ambayo nimekwisha kukuambia kuhusiana na Israel na Yuda, na kila taifa. Fanya hivi kwa kila kitu nilichokuambia tokea siku za Yosia mpaka siku ile.
Take for yourself a scroll of a document and you will write to it all the words which I have spoken to you on Israel and on Judah and on all the nations from [the] day [when] I spoke to you from [the] days of Josiah and until the day this.
3 Huenda watu wa Yuda watasikiliza majanga yote ambayo ninakusudia kuleta juu yao. Huenda kila mmoja ataacha njia zake mbaya, ili kwamba niweze kuwasamehe maovu yao na dhambi zao.”
Perhaps they will hear [the] house of Judah all the harm which I [am] planning to do to them so that they may turn back everyone from way his evil and I will forgive iniquity their and sin their.
4 Kisha Yeremia alimwita Baruku mwana wa Neria, na Baruku aliandika kwenye kitabu, kwa imla ya Yeremia, maneno yote ya Yahwe yalizunguzwa kwake.
And he called Jeremiah Baruch [the] son of Neriah and he wrote Baruch from [the] mouth of Jeremiah all [the] words of Yahweh which he had spoken to him on a scroll of a document.
5 Kisha Yeremia alitoa amri kwa Baruku. Alisema, “Niko gerezani na siwezi kwenda kwenye nyumba ya Yahwe.
And he commanded Jeremiah Baruch saying I [am] shut up not I am able to go [the] house of Yahweh.
6 Kwa hiyo unapaswa uende na kusoma kutoka kwenye kitabu ulichoandika kwa imla yangu. Kwa siku ya kufunga, unapaswa usome maneno ya Yahwe kwenye masikio ya watu katika nyumba yake, na pia kwenye masikio ya Yuda yote waliokuja kutoka katika miji yao. Tangaza maneno haya kwao.
And you will go you and you will read aloud in the scroll which you have written from mouth my [the] words of Yahweh in [the] ears of the people [the] house of Yahweh on a day of fasting and also in [the] ears of all Judah who are coming from cities their you will read aloud them.
7 Huenda maombi yao ya rehema yatakuja mbele ya Yahwe. Huenda kila mtu ataacha njia mbaya, kwani gathabu na hasira ya Yahwe imetangazwa dhidi ya watu kwa ukali.”
Perhaps it will fall supplication their before Yahweh so they may turn back everyone from way his evil for [is] great the anger and the rage which he has spoken Yahweh against the people this.
8 Kwa hiyo Baruku mwana wa Neria alifanya kila kitu ambacho Yeremia nabii alimwamuru yeye kufanya. Alisoma kwa sauti maneno ya Yahwe ndani mwa nyumba ya Yahwe.
And he did Baruch [the] son of Neriah according to all that he had commanded him Jeremiah the prophet to read aloud in the scroll [the] words of Yahweh [the] house of Yahweh.
9 Ilikuja tokea katika mwaka wa tano na mwezi wa tisa kwa Yehoyakimu mwana wa Yosia, mfalme wa Yuda, kwamba watu wote Yerusalemu na watu waliotoka Yerusalemu toka miji ya Yuda walitangaza kufunga kwa kumheshimu Yahwe.
And it was in the year fifth of Jehoiakim [the] son of Josiah [the] king of Judah in the month ninth they proclaimed a fast before Yahweh all the people in Jerusalem and all the people who were coming from [the] cities of Judah in Jerusalem.
10 Baruku alisoma kwa sauti maneno ya Yeremia katika nyumba ya Yahwe, kutoka kwenye chumba cha Gamaria mwana wa Shafani mwandishi, katika ua wa juu, kwa mlango wa kuingilia wa nyumba ya Yahwe. Alifanya hivi kwa masikio ya watu wote.
And he read aloud Baruch in the scroll [the] words of Jeremiah [the] house of Yahweh in [the] room of Gemariah [the] son of Shaphan the scribe in the court upper [the] entrance of [the] gate of [the] house of Yahweh new in [the] ears of all the people.
11 Basi Mikaya mwana wa Gemaria alisikia maneno yote ya Yahwe kwenye kitabu.
And he heard Micaiah [the] son of Gemariah [the] son of Shaphan all [the] words of Yahweh from on the scroll.
12 Alienda chini kwenye nyumba ya mfalme, kwenye chumba cha katibu. Tazama, maafisa wote walikuwa wamekaa hapo: Elishama mwandishi, Delaiah mwana wa Shemaiah, Elnathan mwana wa Achbor, Gemaria mwana wa Shefani, na Sedekia mwana wa Hananiah, na maafisa wote.
And he went down [the] house of the king to [the] room of the scribe and there! there all the officials [were] sitting Elishama the scribe and Delaiah [the] son of Shemaiah and Elnathan [the] son of Achbor and Gemariah [the] son of Shaphan and Zedekiah [the] son of Hananiah and all the officials.
13 Kisha Mikaya alitoa taarifa ya maneno yote kwao ambayo alikuwa amesikia ambayo Baruku alisoma kwa sauti kwenye masikio ya watu.
And he told to them Micaiah all the words which he had heard when read aloud Baruch in the scroll in [the] ears of the people.
14 Kwa hiyo maafisa wote walimtuma Jehudi mwana wa Nethania mwana wa Shelemiah mwana wa Kushi, kwa Baruku. Jehudi alisema kwa Baruku, “Chukua kitabu katika mkono wako, kitabu ambacho ulikuwa unakisoma kwa masikio ya watu and kuja.” Kwa hiyo Baruku mwana wa Neria alichukua kitabu katika mkono wake na alienda kwa maafisa.
And they sent all the officials to Baruch Jehudi [the] son of Nethaniah [the] son of Shelemiah [the] son of Cushi saying the scroll which you have read aloud in it in [the] ears of the people take it in hand your and come and he took Baruch [the] son of Neriah the scroll in hand his and he went to them.
15 Kisha walisema naye,”Kaa chini na usome haya katika masikio yetu.” Kwa hiyo Baruku akasoma kitabu.
And they said to him sit please and read aloud it in ears our and he read [it] aloud Baruch in ears their.
16 Ilitokea wakati waliposikia haya maneno yote, kila mtu alipatwa na hofu kwa mtu aliye karibu naye na kusema kwa Baruku, “Kwa hakika tunapaswa kutoa taarifa ya maneno haya yote kwa mfalme.”
And it was when heard they all the words they were in dread each to neighbor his and they said to Baruch certainly we will tell to the king all the things these.
17 Kisha walimuuliza Baruku, “Tuambie, ulipataje kuandika maneno yote haya kwa imla ya Yeremia?”
And Baruch they asked saying tell please to us how? did you write all the words these from mouth his.
18 Baruku aliwaambia, “Alitoa imla ya maneno haya yote kwangu, na nikayaandika kwa wino kwenye kitabu hiki.”
And he said to them Baruch from mouth his he proclaimed to me all the words these and I [was] writing on the scroll with ink.
19 Kisha maafisa walisema kwa Baruku, “Nenda, jifiche mwenyewe, na Yeremiah, pia. Usipatikane mtu yeyote kujua uko wapi.”
And they said the officials to Baruch go hide yourself you and Jeremiah and anyone may not he know where? [are] you.
20 Kisha walienda kwa uwanja wa mfalme na wakatoa taarifa ya maneno haya kwake. Lakini kwanza walikihifadhi kitabu kwenye chumba cha katibu Elishama.
And they went to the king [the] court towards and the scroll they had deposited in [the] room of Elishama the scribe and they told in [the] ears of the king all the things.
21 Basi mfalme alimtuma Yehudi kuchukua kitabu. Yehudi alikichukua toka chumba cha Elishama katibu. Kisha alikisoma kwa sauti kwa mfalme na wote maafisa walikuwa wamesimama karibu naye.
And he sent the king Jehudi to fetch the scroll and he fetched it from [the] room of Elishama the scribe and he read aloud it Jehudi in [the] ears of the king and in [the] ears of all the officials who were standing from with the king.
22 Sasa mfalme alikuwa amesimama kwenye nyumba ya majira ya baridi katika mwezi wa tisa, na mkaa ulikuwa unawaka mbele yake.
And the king [was] sitting [the] house of the winter in the month ninth and the fire-pot before him [was] kindled.
23 Ilitokea wakati Yehudi aliposoma kurusa tatu au nne, mfalme angeweza kuikata kwa kisu na kuitupa kwenye moto katika mkaa mpaka kitabu chote kiliteketea.
And it was - when read aloud Jehudi three doors and four he tore it with [the] knife of the scribe and he threw [it] into the fire which [was] to the fire-pot until was consumed all the scroll on the fire which [was] on the fire-pot.
24 Lakini wala mfalme wala yeyote wa mjakazi wake aliyesikia haya maneno yote aliogopa, wala hawakuchana nguo zao.
And not they were afraid and not they tore clothes their the king and all servants his who heard all the words these.
25 Elnathani, Delaya, na Gemaria walikuwa wamemuomba mfalme asikichome kitabu, lakini hakuwasikiliza.
And also Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah they had made entreaty with the king to not to burn the scroll and not he listened to them.
26 Basi mfalme alimwamuru Yerameeli, ndugu, Seraya mwana wa Azrieli, na Shelemia mwana wa Abdeeli kumfunga Baruku mwandishi na Yeremia nabii, lakini Yahwe alikuwa amewaficha.
And he commanded the king Jerahmeel [the] son of the king and Seraiah [the] son of Azriel and Shelemiah [the] son of Abdeel to seize Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet and he hid them Yahweh.
27 Kisha neno la Yahwe lilikuja kwa Yeremia baada ya mfalme kuwa amechoma kitabu na maneno ya Baruku yaliyokuwa yameandikwa kwa imla ya Yeremia, na alisema,
And it came [the] word of Yahweh to Jeremiah after - burned the king the scroll and the words which he had written Baruch from [the] mouth of Jeremiah saying.
28 “Rudi, chukua kitabu kingine kwa ajili yako, na uandike maneno haya yote ambayo yalikuwa kwenye kitabu cha kwanza, ambacho Yehoyakimu mfalme wa Yuda alikichoma.
Return take for yourself a scroll another and write on it all the words former which they were on the scroll former which he burned Jehoiakim [the] king of Judah.
29 Kisha unapaswa kusema hivi kwa mfalme Yehoyakimu mfalme wa Yuda: 'Ulichoma hicho kitabu! Na ulisema: Kwanini umeandika juu yake, “Mfalme wa Babeli hakika atakuja na kuharibu nchi hii, kwa kuwa atawaangamiza wanaume wote na wanyama ndani yake?”
And to Jehoiakim [the] king of Judah (you will say *LA(bh)*) thus he says Yahweh you you burned the scroll this saying why? did you write on it saying certainly he will come [the] king of Babylon and he will destroy the land this and he will cause to cease from it human being and animal.
30 Kwa hiyo Yahwe anasema hivi kuhusu wewe, Yehoyakimu mfalme wa Yuda: “Hakuna mzao wako atawahi kukaa kwenye kiti cha Daudi. Kama wewe, maiti yako itatupwa kwenye siku ya joto na usiku wa baridi.
Therefore thus he says Yahweh on Jehoiakim [the] king of Judah not he will belong to him [one who] sits on [the] throne of David and corpse his it will be thrown out to the heat in the day and to the frost in the night.
31 Kwa kuwa nitakuadhibu, wazao wako, na wajakazi wako kwa maovu yenu yote. Nitaleta kwenu, kwa wakazi wote wa Yerusalemu, na kwa kila mtu Yuda majanga ambayo nimewatishia ninyi, lakini kwa hamkuwa makini.”
And I will visit on him and on offspring his and on servants his iniquity their and I will bring on them and on [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem and to everyone of Judah all the calamity which I have spoken against them and not they listened.
32 Kwa hiyo Yeremia alichukua kitabu kingine na akampa Baruku mwana wa Neria mwandishi. Baruku aliandika juu yake kwa imla ya Yeremia maneno yote ambayo yalikuwa katika kitabu kilichochomwa moto na mfalme Yehoyakimu mfalme wa Yuda. Zaidi, maneno mengi ya kufanana yaliongezwa kwenye kitabu hiki.
And Jeremiah he took - a scroll another and he gave it to Baruch [the] son of Neriah the scribe and he wrote on it from [the] mouth of Jeremiah all [the] words of the scroll which he had burned Jehoiakim [the] king of Judah in the fire and again it was added to them words many like them.
