Yeremia 35
1 Neno kutoka kwa Yahwe likamjia Yeremia katika siku za Yehoyakimu mwana wa Yosia mfalme wa Yuda, kusema,
The word which it came to Jeremiah from with Yahweh in [the] days of Jehoiakim [the] son of Josiah [the] king of Judah saying.
2 “Nenda kwenye familia ya Warekabi na zungumza nao. Kisha uwalete kwenye nyumba yangu, mle ndani ya moyawapo ya vyumba, na uwape divai wanywe.”
Go to [the] house of the Rechabites and you will speak them and you will bring them [the] house of Yahweh to one of the rooms and you will give to drink them wine.
3 Hivyo nilimchukua Yaazania mwana wa Yeremia mwana wa Habasinia na ndugu zake, wanawe wote, na familia yote ya Warekabi.
And I took Jaazaniah [the] son of Jeremiah [the] son Habazziniah and brothers his and all children his and all [the] house of the Rechabites.
4 Nikawapeleka wote kwenye nyumba ya Yahwe, katika vyumba vya wana wa Hanani mwana wa Igdalia, mtu wa Mungu. Vyumba hivi vilikuwa karibu na chumba cha viongozi, ambacho kilikuwa juu ya chumba cha Maaseya mwana wa Shalumu, mtunza lango.
And I brought them [the] house of Yahweh to [the] room of [the] sons of Hanan [the] son Igdaliah [the] man of God which [was] beside [the] room of the officials which [was] from above [the] room of Maaseiah [the] son of Shallum [the] keeper of the threshold.
5 Kisha nikaleta mabakuli na vikombe vilivyojaa divai mbele ya Warekabi na kusema kwao, 'Kunyeni divai.”
And I put before - [the] sons of [the] house of the Rechabites bowls full wine and cups and I said to them drink wine.
6 Lakini walisema, “hatutakunywa divai yoyote, kwa maana babu yetu, Yonadabu mwana wa Rekabu, alituamuru, Msinywe divai yoyote, ninyi wala uzao wenu, milele.
And they said not we drink wine for Jonadab [the] son of Rechab ancestor our he commanded to us saying not you must drink wine you and children your until perpetuity.
7 Pia, msijenge nyumba yoyote, kupanda mbegu zozote, wala kupanda shamba lolote la mizabibu; hivi siyo kwa ajili yenu. Kwa maana lazima muishi katika hema maisha yenu yote, ili kwamba muweze kuishsi siku nyingi katika nchi mnayoishi kama wageni.'
And a house not you must build and seed not you must sow and a vineyard not you must plant and not it will belong to you for in tents you will dwell all days your so that you may live days many on [the] surface of the ground where you [are] sojourning there.

And we have listened to [the] voice of Jonadab [the] son of Rechab ancestor our to all that he commanded us to not to drink wine all days our we wives our sons our and daughters our.
9 Hatutajenga nyumba kwa ajili ya kuishi ndani, na hatutakuwa na shamba la mizabu, konde, wala mbegu ya kumiliki sisi.
And to not to build houses to dwell in we and vineyard and field and seed not it belongs to us.
10 Tumeishi katika hema na tumetii na kufanya yote aliyotuamuru Yonadabu babu yetu.
And we have dwelt in tents and we have obeyed and we have done according to all that he commanded us Jonadab ancestor our.
11 Lakini Nebukadreza mfalme wa Babeli alipoivamia nchi, tulisema, 'Njoo, lazima twende Yerusalemu ili tupone na mkono wa Wakaldayo na majeshi ya Waaramu. 'Kwa hiyo tunaishi Yerusalemu.”
And it was when came up Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon against the land and we said come so we may go Jerusalem because of [the] army of the Chaldeans and from before [the] army of Aram and we have dwelt in Jerusalem.
12 Kisha neno la Yahwe likaja kwa Yeremia, likisema,
And it came [the] word of Yahweh to Jeremiah saying.
13 “Yahwe wa majeshi, Mungu wa Israeli, anasema hivi, 'Nenda na useme kwa wanaume wa Yuda na wakaaji wa Yeruslemu, 'Hamtapokea maelekezo na kulisikiliza neno langu? —hili ni tangazo la Yahwe.
Thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel go and you will say to [the] man of Judah and to [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem ¿ not will you accept correction to listen to words my [the] utterance of Yahweh.
14 Maneno ya Yonadabu mwana wa Rekabu aliyowapa wanawe kama amri. wasinywe divai yoyote, yameheshimiwa hadi leo. Wameitii amri ya babu yao. Lakini mimi, nimekuwa nikifanya matangazo kwenu bila kukoma, lakini hamnisikilizi.
It was carried out [the] words of Jonadab [the] son of Rechab which he commanded children his to not to drink wine and not they have drunk until the day this for they have obeyed [the] commandment of ancestor their and I I have spoken to you rising early and speaking and not you have listened to me.
15 Niliwatuma kwenu watumishi wangu wote, manabii, nilikuwa nawatuma bila kukom ili waseme, 'Kila mtu auache uovu wake na kutenda matendo mema; asiwepo mtu wa kuifuata miungu mingine tena na kuiabudu. And I sent to you all servants my the prophets - rising early and sending - saying turn back please everyone from way his evil and make good deeds your and may not you walk after gods other to serve them and dwell to the land which I gave to you and to ancestors your and not you inclined ear your and not you listened to me.
16 Kwa maana uzao wa Yonadabu mwana wa Rekabu wamezishika amri za babu yao alizowapa, lakini watu hawa hupuuza kunisikiliza.”
For they have carried out [the] sons of Jonadab [the] son of Rechab [the] commandment of ancestor their which he commanded them and the people this not they have listened to me.
17 Kwa hiyo Yahwe, Mungu wa majeshi na Mungu wa Israeli, asema hivi, 'Angalia, Ninaleta juu ya Yuda na juu ya kila mtu anayeishi Yerusalemu, majanga yote niyotamka dhidi yao kwa sababu niliwaambia, lakini hawakusikiliza; niliwaita, lakini hawakuitika.”
Therefore thus he says Yahweh [the] God of hosts [the] God of Israel here I [am] about to bring to Judah and to all [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem all the calamity which I spoke on them because I spoke to them and not they listened and I called to them and not they answered.
18 Yeremia akasema kwa familia ya Warekabi, “Yahwe wa majeshi, Mungu wa Israeli asema hivi: mmezisikiliza amri za Yonadabu babu yenu na kuzishika zote—mmeyatii yote aliyowaamuru kufanya—
And to [the] house of the Rechabites he said Jeremiah thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel because that you have listened to [the] commandment of Jonadab ancestor your and you have kept all commandments his and you have done according to all that he commanded you.
19 kwa hiyo Yahwe wa majeshi, Mungu wa Israeli, asema hivi, 'Siku zote kutakuwa na mtu kutoka uzao wa Yonadabu mwana wa Rekabu kwa ajili ya kunitumikia.”'
Therefore thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel not it will be cut off a man to Jonadab [the] son of Rechab [who] will stand before me all the days.
