Isaya 43
1 Lakini sasa haya ndio Yahwe asemayo, yeye aliyekuumba ewe, Yakobo, na yeye aliyekuumba ewe, Israeli: ''Usiogope, kwa maana nimekukomboa wewe; nmeikuita kwa jina lako, wewe ni wangu.
But nowe thus sayeth the Lord, that created thee, O Iaakob: and hee that formed thee, O Israel, Feare not: for I haue redeemed thee: I haue called thee by thy name, thou art mine.
2 Utakapopita katika maji, Nitakuwa pamoja na wewe; na katika mito, hayatakuzuru wewe. Utakapotembea katika moto hautaungua, na moto hautakuharibu wewe.
When thou passest through the waters, I wil be with thee, and through the floods, that they doe not ouerflowe thee. When thou walkest through the very fire, thou shalt not be burnt, neither shall the flame kindle vpon thee.
3 Maana mimi Yahwe Mungu wako, Mtakatifu wa Israeli Mkombozi wenu. Nimewapa Misri kama fidia yenu, Ethiopia na Seba watabadilishana kwako.
For I am the Lord thy God, the holy one of Israel, thy Sauiour: I gaue Egypt for thy ransome, Ethiopia, and Seba for thee.
4 Kwa maana ulikuwa wa thamani na maalumu katika macho yangu, Ninakupenda; kwa sababu hiyo Nitatoa watu kwa ajili yako, na watu wengine kwa ajili ya maisha yako.
Because thou wast precious in my sight, and thou wast honourable, and I loued thee, therefore will I giue man for thee, and people for thy sake.
5 Usiogope, maana Mimi niko pamoja na wewe; Nitawarudisha watoto wako kutoka mashariki, na kuwakusanya nyie kutoka magharibi.
Feare not, for I am with thee: I will bring thy seede from the East, and gather thee from the West.
6 Nitasema na kaskazini, 'Wakabidhini wao; na kwa kusini, Usiangalie ya nyuma; Leteni vijana wangu kutoka mbali na binti zangu kutoka vijiji vya mikoani katika nchi,
I will say to the North, Giue: and to the South, Keepe not backe: bring my sonnes from farre, and my daughters from the ends of the earth.
7 yeyote aitwe kw jina langu, niliyemuumba kwa utukufu wangu mwenyewe, Niliyemuumba, ndio, Mimi niliyemfanya.
Euery one shall be called by my Name: for I created him for my glorie, formed him and made him.
8 Waleteni nje watu ambao ni vipofu, hata kama wana macho, na viziwi, hata kama wana masikio.
I will bring foorth the blinde people, and they shall haue eyes, and the deafe, and they shall haue eares.
9 Mataifa yote yatakusanyika kwa pamoja na watu watakusanyika. Ni nani miongoni mwenu atakaye tamka na kutangaza kutumia mambo ya mwanzo? Waache walete mashahidi kuwashuhudia wao kama wako sahihi, waache wasikilize na kuthibitisha, 'kama ni kweli'.
Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this and shewe vs former things? let them bring foorth their witnesses, that they may be iustified: but let them heare, and say, It is truth.
10 Ninyi ni mashahidi wangu, ametangaza Yahwe, ''na watumishi wangu niliowachagua, ili uweze kujua na kuniamini mimi, na kuelewa kwamba mimi ndiye. Kabla yangu hapana mungu mwingine aliyeumbwa, na wala hatatoke baada yangu.
You are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my seruant, whom I haue chosen: therefore yee shall knowe and beleeue me and yee shall vnderstand that I am: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
11 Mimi, Mimi Yahwe, na hakuna Mkombozi zaidi yangu.
I, euen I am the Lord, and beside me there is no Sauiour.
12 Nimetangaza, nimeokoa, na kutangaza, na hakuna Mungu mwingine miongoni mwenu, Ninyi ni mashahidi wangu asema Yahwe, ''Mimi ni Mungu.
I haue declared, and I haue saued, and I haue shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore you are my witnesses, sayeth the Lord, that I am God.
13 Kuanzia leo na kuendelea mimi ndiye, na hakuna hata mmoja atakayewakomboa kwenye mkono wangu. Nitafanya, na nani awezae kunizuia?''
Yea, before the day was, I am, and there is none that can deliuer out of mine hand: I will doe it, and who shall let it?
14 Yahwe asema hivi, Mkombozi wenu, yeye Mtakatifu wa Israeli: ''Kwa niaba yenu nimemtuma mjumbe kwenda Babeli na kuwaongoza wao wote chini kama watuhumiwa, kubadilisha kelele za furaha za watu wa Babeli' kuwa wimbo wa maombolezo.
Thus sayeth the Lord your redeemer, the holy one of Israel, For your sake I haue sent to Babel, and brought it downe: they are all fugitiues, and the Chaldeans crie in the shippes.
15 Mimi ni Yahwe, niliye Mtakatifu, Muumbaji wa Israeli, Mfalme wenu.
I am the Lord your holy one, the creator of Israel, your King.
16 Yahwe asema hivi, Ni nani aliyefungua njia katika bahari, na njia katika maji yenye nguvu,
Thus sayeth the Lord which maketh a way in the Sea, and a path in the mighty waters.
17 ni nani anayeongoza gari na farasi, majeshi na jeshi kuu. Walianguka chini kwa pamoja; hawakunyanyuka tena; wamezimwa, kama utambi unaoungua.
When hee bringeth out the charet and horse, the armie and the power lie together, and shall not rise: they are extinct, and quenched as towe.
18 Msifikirie hayo mambo yaliyopita, wala kuyafikiria mambo ya zamani.
Remember yee not the former things, neither regard the things of olde.
19 Tazama ninakaribia kufanya mambo mapya; sasa yanakaribia kutokea; Je humyajui haya? Nitafanya njia jangani na na mikondo ya maji katika jangwa
Behold, I do a new thing: now shall it come foorth: shall you not knowe it? I wil euen make a way in the desert, and floods in the wildernesse.
20 Wanyama pori wa shambani wataniheshimu mimi, Mbweha na mbuni, kwa sababu ninatoa maji jangwani, na mito jangwani, ili watu wangu niliowachuga wapate kunjwa,
The wilde beastes shall honour mee, the dragons and the ostriches, because I gaue water in the desert, and floods in the wildernesse to giue drinke to my people, euen to mine elect.
21 Watu hawa niliowaumba mwenyewe, kwamba wahesabu tena sifa zangu.
This people haue I formed for my selfe: they shall shewe foorth my praise.
22 Lakini hamjanita mimi, Yakobo; umechoka na mimi, Israeli.
And thou hast not called vpon mee, O Iaakob, but thou hast wearied me, O Israel.
23 Haujaniletea hata kondoo wako kama sadaka ya kuteketeza; na wala haujaniheshimu mimi kwa sadaka yako Sijakutumisha wewe kwa sadaka ya mazao, wala sijawachosha kwa sadaka yenu ya ubani.
Thou hast not brought me the sheepe of thy burnt offrings, neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I haue not caused thee to serue with an offring, nor wearied thee with incense.
24 Hamkuninunulia mimi manukato mazuri kwa fedha, hakumwagia mimi mafuta ya sadaka zenu; Lakini mnanichosha mimi na dhambi zenu na mnanichosha mimi kwa matendo yenu mabaya.
Thou boughtest mee no sweete sauour with money, neither hast thou made mee drunke with the fatte of thy sacrifices, but thou hast made mee to serue with thy sinnes, and wearied mee with thine iniquities.
25 Mimi, ndio, Mimi, ndiye niliyafaye maovu yenu kwa niaba yangu mmi mwenyewe; na Sitawaita na kuwakumbusha dhambi zenu tena.
I, euen I am he that putteth away thine iniquities for mine owne sake, and will not remember thy sinnes.
26 Nikumbusheni mimi kilichotokea. Njooni tusemezane pamoja; leta hoja zako, ili kusudi uthibitishe kuwa hauna hatia.
Put me in remembrance: let vs be iudged together: count thou that thou maist be iustified.
27 Baba yako wa kwanza alitenda dhambi, na viongozi wenu walitenda dhambi dhidi yangu.
Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers haue transgressed against me.
28 Hivyo basi Nitawatia unajisi viongozi watakatifu; Nitamkabidhi Yakobo kuwaharibu kabisa, na Israeli kulaani udhalilishaji.
Therefore I haue prophaned the rulers of the Sanctuarie, and haue made Iaakob a curse, and Israel a reproche.
