1 Hivi ndivyo vizazi vya Esau (aliyeitwa pia Edom).
Nowe these are the generations of Esau, which is Edom.
2 Esau akachukua wakeze kutoka kwa Wakanaani. Hawa walikuwa wake zake: Ada binti Eloni Mhiti; Oholibama binti Ana, mjukuu wa Zibeoni Mhivi; na
Esau tooke his wiues of the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon an Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon an Hiuite,
3 Basemathi, binti Ishmaeli, dada wa Nebayothi.
And tooke Basemath Ishmaels daughter, sister of Nebaioth.
4 Ada akamzaa Elifazi kwa Esau, na Basemathi akamzaa Reueli.
And Adah bare vnto Esau, Eliphaz: and Basemath bare Reuel.
5 Oholibama akamzaa Yeushi, Yalamu, na Kora. Hawa walikuwa wana wa Esau waliozaliwa kwake katika nchi ya Kananaani.
Also Aholibamah bare Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah: these are the sonnes of Esau which were borne to him in the land of Canaan.
6 Esau akawachukua wakeze, wanawe, binti zake, na watu wote wa nyumba yake, mifugo wake - wanyama wake wote, na mali yake yote, aliyokuwa amekusanya katika nchi ya Kanaani, na akaenda katika nchi iliyoko mbali kutoka kwa Yakobo nduguye.
So Esau tooke his wiues and his sonnes, and his daughters, and all the soules of his house, and his flocks, and all his cattell, and all his substance, which he had gotten in the land of Canaan, and went into an other countrey from his brother Iaakob.
7 Alifanya hivi kwa sababu mali zao zilikuwa nyingi sana kwa wao kuishi pamoja. Nchi waliyokuwa wamekaa isingeweza kuwafaa kwa mifugo yao.
For their riches were so great, that they could not dwell together, and the lande, wherein they were strangers, coulde not receiue them because of their flockes.
8 Hivyo Esau, aliyejulikana pia kama Edomu, akakaa katika nchi ya kilima Seiri.
Therefore dwelt Esau in mount Seir: this Esau is Edom.
9 Hivi ndivyo vizazi vya Esau, babu wa Waedomu katika nchi ya mlima Seiri.
So these are the generations of Esau father of Edom in mount Seir.
10 Haya yalikuwa majina ya wana wa Esau: Elifazi mwana wa Ada, mkewe Esau; Reueli mwana wa Basemathi, mkewe Esau.
These are the names of Esaus sonnes: Eliphaz, the sonne of Adah, the wife of Esau, and Reuel the sonne of Bashemath, the wife of Esau.
11 Wana wa Elifazi walikuwa Temani, Omari, Zefo, Gatamu, na Kenazi.
And the sonnes of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
12 Timna, suria wa Elifazi, mwana wa Esau, akamzaa Amaleki. Hawa walikuwa wajukuu wa Ada, mkewe Esau.
And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esaus sonne, and bare vnto Eliphaz, Amalek: these be the sonnes of Adah Esaus wife.
13 Hawa walikuwa wana wa Reueli: Nahathi, Zera, Shama, na Miza. Hawa walikuwa wajukuu wa Basemathi, mkewe Esau.
And these are the sonnes of Reuel: Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sonnes of Bashemath Esaus wife.
14 Hawa walikuwa wana wa Oholibama, mkewe Esau, aliyekuwa binti Ana na mjukuu wa Zibeoni. Alimzalia Esau Yeushi, Yalamu, na Kora.
And these were the sonnes of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, daughter of Zibeon Esaus wife: for she bare vnto Esau, Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah.

These were Dukes of the sonnes of Esau: the sonnes of Eliphaz, the first borne of Esau: Duke Teman, Duke Omar, Duke Zepho, Duke Kenaz,
16 Gatamu, na Amaleki. Hivi vilikuwa vizazi vya koo kutoka kwa Elifazi katika nchi ya Edomu. Walikuwa wajukuu wa Ada.
Duke Korah, Duke Gatam, Duke Amalek: these are the Dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom: these were the sonnes of Adah.
17 Hizi zilikuwa koo kutoka kwa Reueli, mwana wa Esau: Nahathi, Zera, Shama, Miza. Hizi zilikuwa koo kutoka kwa Reueli katika nchi ya Edomu. Walikuwa wajukuu wa Basemathi, mkewe Esau.
And these are the sonnes of Reuel Esaus sonne: Duke Nahath, Duke Zerah, Duke Shammah, Duke Mizzah: these are the Dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom: these are the sonnes of Bashemath Esaus wife.
18 Hizi zilikuwa koo za Oholibama, mkewe Esau: Yeushi, Yalamu, Kora. Hizi ni koo zilizotoka kwa Oholibama mkewe Esau, binti Ana.
Likewise these were the sonnes of Aholibamah Esaus wife: Duke Ieush, Duke Iaalam, Duke Korah: these Dukes came of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah Esaus wife.
19 Hawa walikuwa wana wa Esau na koo zao.
These are the children of Esau, and these are the Dukes of them: This Esau is Edom.
20 Hawa walikuwa wana wa Seiri Mhori, wenyeji wa nchi hiyo: Lotani, Shobali, Zibeoni, Ana,
These are the sonnes of Seir the Horite, which inhabited the lande before, Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah.
21 Dishoni, Ezeri, na Dishani. Hizi zilikuwa koo the Wahori, wenyeji wa Seiri katika nchi ya Edomu.
And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the Dukes of the Horites, the sonnes of Seir in the land of Edom.
22 Wana wa Lotani walikuwa Hori na Hemani, na Timna alikuwa dada wa Lotani.
And the sonnes of Lotan were, Hori and Hemam, and Lotans sister was Timna.
23 Hawa walikuwa wana wa Shobali: Alvani, Manahathi, Ebali, Shefo, na Onamu.
And the sonnes of Shobal were these: Aluan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.
24 Hawa walikuwa wana wa Zibeoni: Aia na Ana. Huyu ndiye Ana aliyeona chemichemi za moto nyikani, alipokuwa akichunga punda wa Zibeoni babaye.
And these are the sonnes of Zibeon: Both Aiah, and Anah: this was Anah that founde mules in the wildernesse, as he fedde his father Zibeons asses.
25 Hawa walikuwa watoto wa Ana: Dishoni na Oholibama, binti Ana.
And the children of Anah were these: Dishon and Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah.
26 Hawa walikuwa wana wa Dishoni: Hemdani, Eshbani, Ithrani, na Kerani.
Also these are the sonnes of Dishan: Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
27 Hawa walikuwa wana wa Ezeri: Bilhani, Zaavani, na Akani.
The sonnes of Ezer are these: Bilhan, and Zaauan, and Akan.
28 Hawa walikuwa wana wa Dishani: Uzi na Arani.
The sonnes of Dishan are these: Vz, and Aran.
29 Hizi zilikuwa koo za Wahori: Lotani, Shobali, Zibeoni, na Ana,
These are the Dukes of the Horites: Duke Lotan, Duke Shobal, Duke Zibeon, Duke Anah,
30 Dishoni, Ezeri, Dishani: hizi zilikuwa koo za Wahori, kulingana na ukoo ulivyoorodheshwa katika nchi ya Seiri.
Duke Dishon, Duke Ezer, Duke Dishan: these bee the Dukes of the Horites, after their Dukedomes in the land of Seir.

And these are the Kings that reigned in the lande of Edom, before there reigned any King ouer the children of Israel.

Then Bela the sonne of Beor reigned in Edom, and the name of his citie was Dinhabah.
33 Bela alipofariki, kisha Yobabu mwana wa Zera kutoka Bozra, akatawala mahali pake.
And when Bela dyed, Iobab the sonne of Zerah of Bozra reigned in his steade.
34 Yobabu alipofariki, Hushamu aliyekuwa wa nchi ya Watemani, akatawala mahali pake.
When Iobab also was dead, Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his steade.
35 Hushamu alipofariki, Hadadi mwana wa Bedadi aliyewashinda Wamidiani katika nchi ya Moabu, akatawala mahali pake. Jina la mji wake lilikuwa Avithi.
And after the death of Husham, Hadad the sonne of Bedad, which slewe Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his steade, and the name of his citie was Auith.
36 Hadadi alipofariki, kisha Samla wa Masreka akatawala mahali pake.
When Hadad was dead, then Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his steade.
37 Samla alipofariki, kisha Shauli wa Rehobothi kando ya mto alitawala mahali pake.
When Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the riuer, reigned in his steade.
38 Shauli alipofariki, kisha Baali Hanani mwana wa Akbori akatawala mahali pake.
When Shaul dyed, Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor reigned in his steade.
39 Baali Hanani mwana wa Akbori, alipokufa, kisha Hadari akatawala mahali pake. Jina la mji wake lilikuwa Pau. Jina la mkewe lilikuwa Mehetabeli, binti Matredi, mjukuu wa Me Zahabu.
And after the death of Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor, Hadad reigned in his stead, and the name of his citie was Pau: and his wiues name Mehetabel the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
40 Haya ndiyo yalikuwa majina ya wakuu wa koo kutoka uzao wa Esau, kwa kufuata koo zao na maeneo yao, kwa majina yao: Timna, Alva, Yethethi,
Then these are the names of the Dukes of Esau according to their families, their places and by their names: Duke Timna, Duke Aluah, Duke Ietheth,
41 Oholibama, Ela, Pinoni,
Duke Aholibamah, Duke Elah, Duke Pinon,
42 Kenazi, Temani, Mbza,
Duke Kenaz, Duke Teman, Duke Mibzar,
43 Magdieli, na Iramu. Hawa walikuwa wakuu wa ukoo wa Edomu, kwa kufuata makao yao katika nchi waliyomiliki. Nao ni Esau, baba wa Waedomu.
Duke Magdiel, Duke Iram: these bee the Dukes of Edom, according to their habitations, in the lande of their inheritance. This Esau is the father of Edom.
