Mwanzo 10
1 Hivi ndivyo vilikuwa vizazi vya wana wa Nuhu, ambao ni, Shemu, Hamu, na Yafethi. Wana wa kiume walizaliwa kwao baada ya gharika.
And these [are] births of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and born to them are sons after the deluge.
2 Wana wa Yafethi walikuwa Gomeri, Magogu, Madai, Yavani, Tubali, Masheki, na Tirasi.
'Sons of Japheth [are] Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
3 Na wana wa Gomeri walikuwa Ashikenazi, Rifathi na Togama.
And sons of Gomer [are] Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
4 Wana wa Yavani walikuwa Elisha, Tarshishi, Kitimu, na Dodanimu.
And sons of Javan [are] Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
5 Kutoka kwa hawa watu wa pwani waligawanyika na kwenda kwenye ardhi zao, kila mtu na lugha yake, kufuatana na koo zao, kwa mataifa yao.
By these have the isles of the nations been parted in their lands, each by his tongue, by their families, in their nations.
6 Wana wa Hamu walikuwa Kushi, Misraimu, Putu, na Kanaani.
And sons of Ham [are] Cush, and Mitzraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
7 Wana wa Kushi walikuwa Seba, Havila, Sabta, Raama, na Sabteka. Wana wa Raama walikuwa Sheba na Dedani.
And sons of Cush [are] Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah; and sons of Raamah [are] Sheba and Dedan.
8 Kushi akamzaa Nimrodi, ambaye alikuwa hodari wa kwanza juu ya nchi.
And Cush hath begotten Nimrod;
9 Alikuwa mwindaji mkuu mbele ya Yahwe. Hii ndiyo sababu hunenwa, “Kama Nimrod mwindaji mkuu mbele za Yahwe.”
he hath begun to be a hero in the land; he hath been a hero in hunting before Jehovah; therefore it is said, 'As Nimrod the hero [in] hunting before Jehovah.'
10 Miji ya kwanza ya ufalme wake ilikuwa Babeli, Ereku, Akadi na Kalne, katika ichi ya Shinari.
And the first part of his kingdom is Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar;
11 Kutoka katika nchi ile alikwenda Ashuru na akajenga Ninawi, Rehoboth- iri na Kala,
from that land he hath gone out to Asshur, and buildeth Nineveh, even the broad places of the city, and Calah,
12 na Raseni ambao ulikuwa kati ya Ninawi na Kala. Ulikuwa mji mkubwa.
and Resen, between Nineveh and Calah; it [is] the great city.
13 Misraimu akazaa Waludi, Waanami, Walehabi, na Wanaftuhi,
And Mitzraim hath begotten the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,
14 Wapathrusi na Wakasluhi ( ambao kwao Wafilisti walitokea), na Wakaftori.
and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim, (whence have come out Philistim, ) and the Caphtorim.
15 Kanaani akamzaa Sidono, mwanawe wa kwanza, na Hethi,
And Canaan hath begotten Sidon his first-born, and Heth,
16 pia na Myebusi, na Mwamori, Mgirgashi,
and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
17 Mhivi, Mwarki, Msini,
and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
18 Mwarvadi, Msemari, na Mhamathi. Baadaye koo za wakanaani zikasambaa.
and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite; and afterwards have the families of the Canaanite been scattered.
19 Mpaka wa Wakanaani ulianzia Sidoni, katika mwelekeo wa Gerari, hata Gaza, na kama kuelekea Sodoma, Gomora, Adma, na Seboimu hata Lasha.
And the border of the Canaanite is from Sidon, [in] thy coming towards Gerar, unto Gaza; [in] thy coming towards Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, unto Lasha.
20 Hawa walikuwa wana wa Ham, kwa koo zao, kwa lugha zao, katika ardhi zao na katika mataifa yao.
These [are] sons of Ham, by their families, by their tongues, in their lands, in their nations.
21 Pia walizaliwa wana kwa Shemu, ndugu yake mkubwa wa Yafethi. Shemu pia alikuwa baba yao na watu wote wa Eberi.
As to Shem, father of all sons of Eber, brother of Japheth the elder, he hath also begotten:
22 Wana wa Shemu walikuwa Elamu, Ashuru, Alfaksadi, Ludi, na Aramu.
Sons of Shem [are] Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
23 Wana wa Aramu walikuwa ni Usi, Huli, Getheri, na Mashi.
And sons of Aram [are] Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
24 Arfaksadi akamzaa Sela, na Sela akamzaa Eber.
And Arphaxad hath begotten Salah, and Salah hath begotten Eber.
25 Eberi akazaa wana wawili wa kiume. Jina la mmoja aliitwa Pelegi maana katika siku zake nchi iligawanyika. Jina la ndugu yake aliitwa Yoktani.
And to Eber have two sons been born; the name of the one [is] Peleg (for in his days hath the earth been divided, ) and his brother's name [is] Joktan.
26 Yoktani akamzaa Almodadi, Shelefu, Hasarmawethi, Yera,
And Joktan hath begotten Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
27 Hadoram, Uzali, Dikla,
and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
28 Obali, Abimaeli, Sheba,
and Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
29 Ofiri, Havila, na Yobabi. Hawa wote walikuwa wana wa Yoktani.
and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; all these [are] sons of Joktan;
30 Mpaka wao ulikuwa unaanzia Mesha, hadi Sefari, mlima wa mashariki.
and their dwelling is from Mesha, [in] thy coming towards Sephar, a mount of the east.
31 Hawa walikuwa wana wa Shemu, kulingana na koo zao na lugha zao, katika ardhi zao kulingana na mataifa yao.
These [are] sons of Shem, by their families, by their tongues, in their lands, by their nations.
32 Hizi zilikuwa koo za wana wa Nuhu, kulingana na vizazi vyao, kwa mataifa yao. Kutokea kwa hawa mataifa yaligawanyika na kwenda juu ya nchi baada ya gharika.
These [are] families of the sons of Noah, by their births, in their nations, and by these have the nations been parted in the earth after the deluge.
