Ezra 10
1 Wakati Ezra akiomba na kutubu, akalia na kujirusha chini mbele ya nyumba ya Mungu, kusanyiko kubwa la wanaume Israel, wanawake na watoto wakakusanyika kwake, kwa kuwa watu walikuwa wakilia sana.
And just as was praying Ezra and just as was confessing he weeping and prostrating himself before [the] house of God they gathered to him from Israel a company great very men and women and children for they wept the people great weeping.
2 Shekania mtoto wa Yehieli, mwana wa Elamu akamwambia Ezra, “Tumekuwa sio waaminifu kwa Mungu na tumeoa wanawake wa kigeni kutoka nchi nyingine. Lakini pamoja na hilo, bado kuna tumaini kwa Israel.
And he answered Shecaniah [the] son of Jehiel one of [the] descendants of (Elam *Q(K)*) and he said to Ezra we we have acted unfaithfully against God our and we have married women foreign from [the] peoples of the land and now there [is] hope for Israel on this.
3 sasa natuweke agano pamoja na Mungu wetu kuwaondoa wanawake wote na watoto wao kulingana na maelekezo ya Bwana, na maelekezo ya wale wanaotetemeka kutokana na amri za Mungu wetu. na hii ifanyike kutokana na sheria.
And therefore let us make a covenant to God our to send out all wives and those born from them by [the] counsel of [the] Lord and the [people] trembling at [the] commandment of God our and according to the law let it be done.
4 Simama, jambo hili linakuhusu wewe, na sisis tuko pamoja na wewe, Uwe imara na kufanya hili.
Arise for [is] on you the matter and we [will be] with you be strong and act.
5 Hivyo Ezra akasimama na kufanya makuhani na walawi na waisrael wote wakaahidi kufanya kwa njia hiyo. Hivyo wote wakatoa kiapo.
And he arose Ezra and he made to swear an oath [the] leaders of the priests the Levites and all Israel to do according to the manner this and they swore [the] oath.
6 Ndipo Ezra akainuka kutoka mbele ya nyumba ya Mungu na kwenda kwenye chumba ya Yehohanani mtoto wa Eliashibu, Yeye hakula mkate au kunywa maji. Tangu alipokuwa akiomboleza kuhusiana na wale wenye imani haba waliokuwa uhamishoni.
And he arose Ezra from to before [the] house of God and he went into [the] room of Jehohanan [the] son of Eliashib and he went there food not he ate and water not he drank for [he was] mourning on [the] unfaithfulness of the exile[s].
7 Hivyo wakatuma neno katika Yuda na Yerusalem kwa watu wote waliorudi kutoka utumwani kukusanyika Yerusalem.
And they caused to pass a proclamation in Judah and Jerusalem to all [the] children of the exile to assemble Jerusalem.
8 Yeyote ambaye hakuja katika siku tatu kutokana na maelekezo kutoka kwa wakuu na viongozi atachukuliwa mali zote na atatengwa na kusanyiko kuu la watu ambao walikuja kutoka uhamisho.
And every [one] who not he will come to [the] three the days according to [the] counsel of the leaders and the elders it will be forfeited all property his and he he will be separated from [the] assembly of the exile[s].
9 Hivyo watu wote wa Yuda na Benjamini wakakusanyika Yerusalem kwa siku tatu. Ilikuwa ni mwezi wa tisa na siku ya ishirini ya mwezi. watu wote wakasimama mbele ya nyumba ya Mungu na wakatetemeka kwa sababu ya neno na mvua.
And they assembled all [the] people of Judah and Benjamin - Jerusalem to [the] three the days it [was the] month ninth on [day] twenty in the month and they sat all the people in [the] open place of [the] house of God trembling on the matter and from the rains.
10 Ezra kuhani akasimama na kusema, “Ninyi wenyewe mmefanya uasi, ninyi mmeishi na wanawake wa kigeni na kuongeza makosa ya Israel.
And he arose Ezra the priest and he said to them you you have acted unfaithfully and you have married women foreign to add to [the] guilt of Israel.
11 Lakini sasa mpeni sifa Yahwe, Mungu wa watangulizi wenu, na mfanye mapenzi yake, mjitenge na watu wa nchi na wanawake wa kigeni.
And therefore give praise to Yahweh [the] God of ancestors your and do will his and separate yourselves from [the] peoples of the land and from the women foreign.
12 Kusanyiko lote likajibu kwa sauti. “Tutatenda kama ulivyosema,
And they answered all the assembly and they said a voice great so (according to word your *Q(K)*) on us to do.
13 haijalishi, kuna watu wengi na ni kipindi cha mvua. Hatuna nguvu ya kusimama nje na hii si siku moja au mbili za kufanya kazi, kwa kuwa tumekosea katika jambo hili.
But the people [is] numerous and the time [is] rains and there not [is] ability to stand on the outside and the business not [belongs] to a day one and not to two for we have increased to transgress in the matter this.
14 Hivyo wakuu wetu wawakilishe kusanyiko lote, iwe kwamba wote walioruhusu wanawake wa kigeni kuishi katika miji yetu waje katika muda uliopangwa na viongozi wa mji na waamuzi wa mji hadi hapo hasira ya Mungu itakapoondoka kutoka kwetu.
Let them stand please leaders our for all the assembly and every [one] - who [is] in cities our who he has married women foreign let him come to times appointed and with them [the] elders of a city and a city and judges its until turn back [the] burning of [the] anger of God our from us until to the matter this.

Only Jonathan [the] son of Asahel and Jahzeiah [the] son of Tikvah they stood on this and Meshullam and Shabbethai the Levite[s] they supported them.

And they did thus [the] children of the exile and they separated themselves Ezra the priest men [the] leaders of the fathers for [the] house of ancestors their and all of them by names and they sat down on day one of the month tenth to investigate the matter.
17 Siku ya kwanza ya mwezi wa kwanza wakawa wamemaliza kuchunguza wale wanaume walioishi na wanawake wa kigeni.
And they finished with everything [the] men who they had married women foreign until day one of the month first.
18 Miongoni mwa wana wa kikuhani kuna wale walioishi na wanawake wa kigeni. Miongoni mwa wana wa Yoshua mtoto wa Yosadaki na kaka zake ambao walikuwa Maasela, Eliazeri, na Yaribu na Gedalia.
And it was found some of [the] sons of the priests who they had married women foreign some of [the] sons of Jeshua [the] son of Jozadak and brothers his Maaseiah and Eliezer and Jarib and Gedaliah.
19 Hivyo wakaamua kuwaondoa wake zao. kwa kuwa walikuwa na makosa, wakatoa sadaka ya kondoo kwenye mifugo kwa ajili ya makosa yao.
And they gave hand their to send out wives their and [being] guilty a ram of [the] flock on guilt their.
20 Miongoni mwa wana wa Imeri, Hanani, na Zebadia.
And of [the] sons of Immer Hanani and Zebadiah.
21 Miongoni mwa wana wa Harimu, Maaseya, na Eliya na Shemaya, na Yehieli na Uzia.
And of [the] sons of Harim Maaseiah and Elijah and Shemaiah and Jehiel and Uzziah.
22 Miongoni mwa wana wa Pashuri, Elasa
And of [the] sons of Pashhur Elioenai Maaseiah Ishmael Nethanel Jozabad and Eleasah.
23 Miongoni mwa walawi: Yozabadi na Shimei na Kelaya (ndiye Kelita) na Pethaia, na Yuda na Eliezeri. Miongoni mwa waimbaji Eliashibu na. Miongoni mwa walinzi Shalumu, Telemu na Uri.
And of the Levites Jozabad and Shimei and Kelaiah that [is] Kelita Pethahiah Judah and Eliezer.
24 Miongoni mwa Israel waliobaki -
And of the singers Eliashib and of the gatekeepers Shallum and Telem and Uri.
25 Miongoni mwa wana wa Paroshi, Ramia na Izia na Malkiya na Miyamini na Eliazari na Malkiya na Benaya
And of Israel of [the] sons of Parosh Ramiah and Izziah and Malkijah and Mijamin and Eleazar and Malkijah and Benaiah.
26 Miongoni mwa wana wa Elamu Mataniana Zekaria, na yeehieli, na Abdi na Yeremothi na Eliya.
And of [the] sons of Elam Mattaniah Zechariah and Jehiel and Abdi and Jeremoth and Elijah.
27 Miongoni mwa wana wa Zatu: Elionai, na Eliashibu, na Matania na Yeremothi na Zabadi na Aziza.
And of [the] sons of Zattu Elioenai Eliashib Mattaniah and Jeremoth and Zabad and Aziza.
28 Miongoni mwa wana wa Bebai Yehohanani, na Hanania na Zakai na Athlai.
And of [the] sons of Bebai Jehohanan Hananiah Zabbai Athlai.
29 Miongoni mwa wana wa bani: Meshulami na Maluki, na Adaya na Yashubu na Sheali na Yeremothi.
And of [the] sons of Bani Meshullam Malluch and Adaiah Jashub and Sheal (and Ramoth. *Q(K)*)
30 Miongoni mwa wana wa Pahath-Moabu, Adna, na kelali, na Benaya na Maaseya, na Matania, na Besaleli na Binti na Manase.
And of [the] sons of Pahath-Moab Adna and Kelal Benaiah Maaseiah Mattaniah Bezalel and Binnui and Manasseh.
31 Na miongoni mwa wana wa Harimu: Eliezeri na Ishiya, na Malkiya na Shemaya na Shimeoni, na
And [the] sons of Harim Eliezer Isshiah Malkijah Shemaiah Simeon.
32 Benyamini na Maluki na Shemaria
Benjamin Malluch Shemariah.
33 Miongoni mwa wana Hashumu: Matenai, na Matatana Zabadi, na Elifereti na Yeremai, na Manase, na Shimei.
Of [the] sons of Hashum Mattenai Mattattah Zabad Eliphelet Jeremai Manasseh Shimei.
34 Miongoni mwa wana wa Bani: Maadai, na Amramu na Aueli, na
Of [the] sons of Bani Maadai Amram and Uel.
35 Benaya, na Bedeya na Keluhi, na
Benaiah Bedeiah (Keluhi. *Q(K)*)

Of [the] sons of Nebo Jeiel Mattithiah Zabad Zebina (Jaddai *Q(K)*) and Joel Benaiah.
44 Hawa wote walikuwa wameoa wanawake wa kigeni na walikuwa wamezaa watoto baadhi yao.
All these (they had taken *Q(K)*) women foreign and there [were] some of them wives and they [masc] had made children.
