Ezekieli 6
1 Neno la Yahwe likanijia, likisema,
Yahweh gave me another message. He said,
2 “Mwana wa adamu, weka uso wako dhidi ya milima ya Israeli na uwatabirie.
“You human, turn toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy [what will happen to] them, and say,
3 Sema, 'Milima ya Israeli, silikilizeni neno la Bwana Yahwe! Bwana Yahwe asema hivi kwenye milima kwenye vilele, kwenye vijito na kwenye mabonde: Tazama! Naleta upanga dhidi yenu, na nitapaharibu pahali penu pa juu.
‘You mountains and hills of Israel [APO], listen to what Yahweh the Lord says to you: “I am about to [enemy soldiers with] swords to come and destroy [the shrines on] your hilltops.
4 Kisha madhabahu zenu zitakuwa ukiwa na nguzo zenu zitaharibiwa, na nitatupa chini wafu wenu mbele ya sanamu zao.
They will smash all the [for worshiping idols] and the altars for burning incense. And they will [many Israeli] people in front of those idols.
5 Nitalaza miili iliyokufa kwa watu wa Israeli mbele ya sanamu zao, na kuitawanya mifupa yenu kuzizunguka madhabahu zenu.
Their corpses will lie in front of their idols, and their bones will be scattered around their altars.
6 Kila mahali utaishi, miji itaharibiwa na mahali pa juu kuangamia, hivyo basi madhabahu zenu zitaharibiwa na kufanywa ukiwa. Kisha zitavunjwa na kupotea, nguzo zenu zitaangushwa chini na kazi zenu zitafutwa mbali.
Wherever the Israelis live, their towns will be ruined, and the shrines where they worship idols will be smashed. Their altars will be completely smashed [DOU], their idols will be completely smashed [DOU], and everything that they own will become a pile of ruins.
7 Waliokufa wataanguka chini kati yenu nanyi mtajua kwamba mimi ni Yahwe.
Many of their people will be killed; and then they will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do the things that I say that I will do].
8 Lakini nitahifadhi mabaki kwenu, na kutakuwa na wale watakao toroka upanga miongoni mwa mataifa,
But I will allow some of the Israelis to remain alive. They will escape being killed when their enemies scatter them among many other nations.
9 Kisha wale watakao toroka watanikumbuka miongoni mwa mataifa amabapo watakapochukuliwa mateka, ndivyo nitakavoyowaponda mioyo yao ya kikahaba ambayo imeniacha, na kwa macho yao ya kikahaba kufuata sanamu zao. Kisha wataonyesha chuki kwenye nyuso zao kwa udhaifu walioufanya kwa machukizo yao yote.
When that happens, in those nations to which they have been forced to go, those who have escaped from being killed will think about me. They will remember that I was very grieved because of their turning away from me [IDM] with their inner beings, and because they very much desired [IDM] to worship their idols. They will (hate/be very displeased with) themselves because of the evil and detestable things that they have done.
10 Hivyo watajua kwamba mimi ni Yahwe. Kulikuwa na sababu kwamba nimesema nitaleta huu uovu kwao.
[they will realize that] I, Yahweh, [have punished them. They will realize that] when I threatened to punish them, I surely intended [LIT] to do that.
11 Bwana Yahwe asema hivi: Piga makofi na kanyaga kwa mguu wako! Sema! 'Ole!' kwa sababu ya uovu wote wa chukizo wa nyumba ya Israeli! Wataanguka kwa upanga, njaa, na tauni.
So this is what I, Yahweh the Lord, [to you, Ezekiel]: ‘Wring your hands and stamp your feet and cry [to show that you are distressed], and [about what will happen to] your Israeli people [MTY] because of all their wicked and detestable behavior. They will be killed [their enemies’] swords, they will die from hunger, and they will die from plagues.
12 Yule aliye mbali sana atakufa kwa tauni, na yule aliyekaribu ataanguka kwa upanga. Wale watakaobaki na kuishi watakufa kwa upanga. Kwa njia hii ndivyo nitakavyo kamilisha madhabahu yangu dhidi yao.
Those who are far [from Jerusalem] will die from plagues, those who are close [to Jerusalem] will be killed by [their enemies’] swords, and those who are still alive will die from hunger. That is how I will punish [MTY] them.
13 Kisha mtajua kwamba mimi ni Yahwe, wakati waliokufa watakapolala kati ya sanamu zao, kuzizunguka madhabahu, kwa kila mlima mrefu-juu ya vilele vya mlima, na chini ya mti wenye majani mabichi na mwalo mnene-sehemu wanapochomea ubani kwa sanamu zao zote.
[Some of] your people’s corpses will lie among their idols around their altars, on every high hilltop and on all the mountaintops, under every big tree [DOU]—at all the places where they burned incense [honor] their idols. Then they will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].
14 Nitapiga kwa mkono wangu na kuifanya nchi ukiwa na isiyofaa, kutoka jangwa hata Dibla, kupita sehemu zote wanapoishi. Kisha watajua kwamba mimi ni Yahwe.”
And I will stretch out my arm and cause your entire country to become an empty wasteland, from the [in the far south] to [town in the far north]. Then they will realize that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do the things that I say that I will do].’”
