Ezekieli 4
1 “Lakini wewe, mwana wa adamu, chukua tofali wewe mwenyewe na uliweke mbele yako. Kisha chonga mji wa Yerusalemu juu yake.
Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and portray upon it the city, even Jerusalem:
2 Kisha laza kuizunguka, ngome juu yake. Anza kushambulia juu yake na weka makambi kuizunguka. Weka shambulio la ghasia kuizunguka.
And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mound against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it on every side.
3 Kisha chukua kwa ajili yako mwenyewe sufuria ya chuma na itumie kama ukuta wa chuma kati yako mwenyewe na mji na weka uso wako dhidi yake. Kwa kuwa utazingirwa, na utaweka ukombozi juu yake. Hii itakuwa alama kwa nyumba ya Israeli.
Moreover take thou to thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.
4 Kisha, lala juu upande wako wa kushoto na weka dhambi ya nyumba ya Israeli juu yake; utazibeba dhambi zao kwa hesabu za siku ambazo ulizolala juu ya nyumba ya Israeli.
Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity.
5 Mimi mwenyewe nakuagiza kwako siku moja kuwakilisha kila mwaka wa adhabu yao: siku 390! Katika njia hii, utachukua dhambi ya nyumba ya Israeli.
For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
6 Wakati utakapomaliza hizi siku, kisha lala chini kwa mara ya pili kwa upande wako wa kulia, kwa kuwa utabeba dhambi ya nyumba ya Yuda kwa siku arobaini. Nakuteua wewe siku moja kwa kila mwaka.
And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.
7 Weka uso wako chini kuelekea Yerusalemu ambayo ni chini ya ngome, na kwa mkono wako funua unabii dhidi
Therefore thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and thy arm shall be uncovered, and thou shalt prophesy against it.
8 yake. Tazama! naweka vifungo juu yako hivyo hutarudi kutoka upande mmoja kwenda upande mwingine hadi utakapoliza siku zako za kuzingirwa kwako.
And, behold, I will lay cords upon thee, and thou shalt not turn thee from one side to another, till thou hast ended the days of thy siege.
9 Chukua ngano kwa ajili yako, shayiri, dengu, mtama, kusemethi; viweke kwenye chombo kimoja na tengeneza mkate kwa ajili yako kulingana na hesabu ya siku ambazo utakazo lala katika ya upande wako. Kwa siku 390 utaula.
Take thou also to thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread of them, according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat of it.
10 Chakula utakachokula kitapimwa, shekeli ishirini kwa siku, na utakila kwa mda uliopangwa kila siku.
And thy food which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it.
11 Kisha utakunywa maji, kwa kuyapima sehemu ya sita ya hini, na utayanywa kwa mda uliopangwa.
Thou shalt drink also water by measure, the sixth part of an hin: from time to time shalt thou drink.
12 Utakila kama keki za shayiri, lakini utaioka kwenye kinyesi kikavu cha mwanadamu mbele ya macho yao!”
And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight.
13 Kwa kuwa Yahwe asema, “Hii inamaana kwamba ule mkate ambao watu wa Israeli watakula kitakuwa kinajisi, huko miongoni mwa mataifa ambapo nitakaowafukuza.”
And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, where I will drive them.
14 Lakini nikasema, “Ee, Bwana Yahwe! Sijawahi kuwa najisi! sijawahi kula kitu chochote ambacho kimekufa au kitu chochote kilichouawa na wanyama, kutoka mdomoni mwangu hadi sasa, wala nyama ya kunuka haijawahi kuingia kinywani mwangu!”
Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither hath abominable flesh come into my mouth.
15 Ndivyo alivvyo niambia, “Tazama! Nimekupa mbolea ya ng'ombe badala ya kinyesi cha mwanadamu ili uweze kuandaa mkate wako juu ya hayo.”
Then he said to me, Lo, I have given thee cow’s dung for man’s dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread with them.
16 Pia akanambia, “Mwana wa adamu! Tazama! Nalivunja gongo la mkate katika Yerusalemu, na watakula mkate ukiwa umepimwa katika wasiwasi na kunywa maji kwa kuyapima katika hofu.
Moreover he said to me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with care; and they shall drink water by measure, and in horror:
17 Kwa sabau watapungukiwa na mkate na maji, kila mtu atafadhaishwa na ndugu yake na kumpoteza kwa sababu ya udhalimu wao.”
That they may lack bread and water, and be appalled one with another, and pine away for their iniquity.
