Ezekieli 28
1 Kisha neno la Yahwe likanijia, kusema,
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
2 “Mwanadamu, waambie watawala wa Tiro, 'Bwana Yahwe asema hivi: Moyo wako unakiburi! Umesema, “mimi ni mungu! Nitakaa kwenye kiti cha miungu katika moyo wa bahari!” Ingawa wewe ni mtu na sio mungu, unaufanya moyo wako kama moyo wa mungu,
And you, son of man, say to the prince of Tyrus, Thus says the Lord; Because your heart has been exalted, and you have said, I am God, I have inhabited the dwelling of God in the heart of the sea; yet you are man and not God, though you have set your heart as the heart of God:
3 unafikiri kwamba unahekima kuliko Danieli, na kwamba hakuna siri ikushangazayo!
are you wiser than Daniel? or have not the wise instructed you with their knowledge?
4 Umejitajirisha mwenyewe pamoja na hekima na ujuzi, na kujipatia dhahabu na fedha katika hazina yako!
Hast you gained power for yourself by your [own] knowledge or your [own] prudence, and [gotten] gold and silver in your treasures?
5 Kwa hekima kubwa na kwa biashara yako, umeongeza utajiri wako, hivyo moyo wako una kiburi kwa sababu ya utajiri yako.
By your abundant knowledge and your traffic you have multiplied your power; your heart has been lifted up by your power.
6 Kwa hiyo, Bwana Yahwe asema hivi: Kwa sababu umetengeza moyo wako kama moyo wa mungu,
Therefore thus says the Lord; Since you have set your heart as the hart of God;
7 kwa hiyo nitaleta wageni juu yako, watu wa kuogofya kutoka mataifa mengine. Wataleta panga zao juu hekima ya uzuri wako, na watauchafua uzuri wako.
because of this, behold, I [will] bring on you strange plagues from the nations; and they shall draw their swords against you, and against the beauty of your knowledge,
8 Watakupeleka chini hata kwenye shimo, na utakufa kifo cha waliokufa katika Bahari.
and they shall bring down your beauty to destruction. And they shall bring you down; and you shall die the death of the slain in the heart of the sea.
9 Je! kweli utasema, “Mimi ni mungu” mbele ya uso wa yule akuuaye? Wewe ni mwanadamu na sio Mungu, na utakuwa kwenye mkono wa yule akujeruaye.
Will you indeed say, I am God, before them that kill you? whereas you are man, and not God.
10 Utakufa kifo cha asiyetahiriwa kwa mkono wa wageni kwa kuwa nimesema hili-asema Bwana Yahwe.
You shall perish by the hands of strangers among the multitude of the uncircumcised: for I have spoken it, says the Lord.
11 Neno la Yahwe likanijia, kusema,
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
12 “Mwanadamu, inua maombolezo kwa ajili ya mfalme wa Tiro na umwambie, 'Bwana Yahwe asema hivi: Uliumbwa mkamilifu, umejaa hekima na ukamilifu wa hekima.
Son of man, take up a lamentation for the prince of Tyre, and say to him, Thus says the Lord God; You are a seal of resemblance, and crown of beauty.
13 Ulikuwa katika Edeni, bustani ya Mungu. Kila jiwe la thamani lilikufunika: akiki, yakuti manjano, almasi, zabarajadi, shohamu, yaspi, yakuti samawi, zumaridi, baharamani, na dhahabu. Ilikuwa siku uliyokuwa umeiumba ambayo walikuwa wameiandaa.
You were in the delight of the paradise of God; you have bound upon you every precious stone, the sardius, and topaz, and emerald, and carbuncle, and sapphire, and jasper, and silver, and gold, and ligure, and agate, and amethyst, and chrysolite, and beryl, and onyx: and you have filled your treasures and your stores in you with gold.
14 Nimekuweka juu ya mlima mtakatifu wa Mungu kama kerubi nimekutia mafuta kwa ajili ya kumlinda mwanadamu. Ulikuwa kati ya mawe ya moto ulipozunguka.
From the day that you were created you [was] with the cherub: I set you on the holy mount of God; you were in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 Ulikuwa mwadilifu kwenye njia zako kutoka siku ulipoumbwa hadi uovu ulipoonekana ndani yako.
You were faultless in your days, from the day that you were created, until iniquity was found in you.
16 Kupitia biashara yako kubwa uliyokuwa umeijaza kwa udhalimu, hivyo umetenda dhambi. Hivyo nimekutupilia mbali ya mlima wa Mungu, kama mmoja wao wa aliyekuwa ameninajisi, na nimekuharibu, kerubi mlinzi, na kukutoa miongono mwa mawe ya moto.
Of the abundance of your merchandise you have filled your storehouses with iniquity, and have sinned: therefore you have been cast down wounded from the mount of God, and the cherub has brought you out of the midst of the stones of fire.
17 Moyo wako ulikuwa na kiburi kwa uzuri wako; umeiharibu hekima yako kwa sababu ya fahari yako. Nimekupeleka chini kwenye dunia. Nimekuweka mbele ya wafalme ili waweze kukuona.
Your heart has been lifted up because of your beauty; your knowledge has been corrupted with your beauty: because of the multitude of your sins I have cast you to the ground, I have caused you to be put to open shame before kings.
18 Kwa sababu ya wingi wa dhambi zako na biashara za udanganyifu, umepanajisi mahali pako patakatifu. Basi nimetengeneza moto kutoka ndani yako; utakula wewe. Nitakugeuza kwenye majivu juu ya dunia katika macho ya wote wakutazamao.
Because of the multitude of your sins and the iniquities of your merchandise, I have profaned your sacred things; and I will bring fire out of the midst of you, this shall devour you; and I will make you [to be] ashes upon your land before all that see you.
19 Wale wote waliokujua miongoni mwa watu watakao kutetemekewa; watakuwa watu wa kutisha, na hutakuwepo tena milele.”'
And all that know you among the nations shall groan over you: you are gone to destruction, and you shall not exist any more.
20 Kisha neno la Bwana Yahwe likanijia, kusema,
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
21 “Mwanadamu, elekeza uso wako Sidoni na toa utabiri juu yake.
Son of man, set your face against Sidon, and prophesy against it,
22 Sema, Bwana Yahwe asema hivi: Tazama! Niko juu yako, Sidoni! Kwa kuwa nitatukuzwa kati yako hivyo watu wako watajua kwamba mimi ni Yahwe wakati nitakapokuwa nimezitekeleza hukumu ndani yako. Nitaonyesha utakatifu ndani yako.
and say, Thus says the Lord; Behold, I am against you, O Sidon; and I will be glorified in you; and you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have wrought judgments in you, and I will be sanctified in you.
23 Nitapeleka tauni juu yako na tazama mitaa yako, na walioua wataanguka kati yako. Wakati upanga utakapokuja juu yao kutoka pande zote, kisha mtajua kwamba mimi ni Yahwe.
Blood and death [shall be] in your streets; and [men] wounded with swords shall fall in you and on every side of you; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
24 Kisha hakutakuwa na mtemba uchomao na maumivu ya miba kwa ajili ya nyumba ya Israeli kutoka wale wote waliomzunguka wanaowadharau watu wake, hivyo watajua kwamba mimi ni Bwana Yahwe!'
And there shall no more be in the house of Israel a thorn of bitterness and a pricking briar proceeding from them that are round about them, who dishonored them; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
25 Bwana Yahwe asema hivi, Nitakapowakusanya nyumba ya Israeli kutoka miongni mwa watu waliokuwa wamekusanyika, na wakati nilipokuwa nimewatenga miongoni mwao, hivyo mataifa aanaweza kuona, kisha watafanya nyumba zao katika nchi nitakayo mpatia mtumishi wangu Yakobo.
Thus says the Lord God; I will also gather Israel from the nations, among whom they have been scattered, and I will be sanctified among them, and before the peoples and nations: and they shall dwell upon their land, which I gave to my servant Jacob.
26 Kisha wataishi salama ndani yake na kujenga nyumba, kulima mizabibu, na kuishi salama wakati nitakapo zitekeleza hukumu juu ya wote wale ambao sasa wanawadharau kutoka sehemu zote; basi watajua yakwamba mimi ni Yahwe Mungu wao!”'
Yes, they shall dwell upon it safely, and they shall build houses, and plant vineyards, and dwell securely, when I shall execute judgment on all that have dishonored them, [even] on those [that are] round about them; and they shall know that I am the Lord their God, and the God of their fathers.
