1 Yahweh akasema na Musa,
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Angalia, nimemwita kwa jina lake Bezaleli mwana wa Uri, mwana wa Huri, wa kabila ya Yuda
See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,
3 Nami nimemjaza Bezaleli na roho ya Mungu, katika hekima, na maarifa, na ujuzi, na mambo ya kazi ya kila aina,
and have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in every work,
4 ili abuni kazi za ustadi, kuwa fundi wa dhahabu, na wa fedha, na wa shaba,
to devise artistic work — to work in gold, and in silver, and in copper,
5 na kukata vito kwa kutiwa mahali, na kuchora miti, na kufanya kazi ya ustadi iwayo yote.
and in cutting of stones, for setting, and for carving of timber — to work in all manner of work.
6 Tena, nimemchagua, awe pamoja naye Oholiabu, mwana wa Ahisamaki, wa kabila ya Dani. Nami nimetia hekima katika mioyo ya wote wenye moyo wa hekima, ili wapate kufanya vyote nilivyokuagiza. Hii ni,
And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the heart of every one that is wise-hearted have I given wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee —
7 hema ya kukutania na sanduku la ushuhuda, na kiti cha rehema kilicho juu yake, na vyombo vyote vya Hema;
the tent of meeting and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy-seat that is thereupon, and all the utensils of the tent,
8 na meza, na vyombo vyake, na kinara cha taa safi pamoja na vyombo vyake vyote,
and the table and its utensils, and the pure lamp-stand and all its utensils, and the altar of incense;
9 na madhabahu ya kufukizia uvumba; na madhabahu ya sadaka ya kuteketezwa na vyombo vyake vyote, na birika na tako lake.
and the altar of burnt-offering and all its utensils, and the laver and its stand;
10 Pia mavazi yenye kufumwa kwa uzuri, na mavazi matakatifu ya Haruni kuhani, na mavazi ya wanawe, ili kutumika katika kazi ya ukuhani.
and the garments of service, both the holy garments of Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to serve as priests;
11 Pia mafuta ya kutiwa, na uvumba wa manukato mazuri, kwa ajili ya mahali patakatifu; sawasawa na yote niliyokuagiza ndivyo watakavyofanya wao.
and the anointing oil, and the incense of fragrant drugs for the sanctuary: according to all that I have commanded thee shall they do.
12 akasema na Musa,
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
13 “Waambie wana wa Israeli, 'Hakika mtazishika Sabato zangu, kwa kuwa ni ishara kati ya mimi na ninyi katika vizazi vyenu vyote; ili mpate kujua ya kuwa mimi ndimi BWANA niwatakasaye ninyi.
And thou, speak thou unto the children of Israel, saying, Surely my sabbaths shall ye keep; for this is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, that ye may know that it is I, Jehovah, who do hallow you.
14 Basi mtaishika hiyo Sabato; kwa kuwa ni takatifu kwenu; kila mtu atakayeitia unajisi hakika yake atauawa; kwa kuwa kila mtu afanyaye kazi katika siku hiyo, nafsi hiyo itakatiliwa mbali na watu wake.
Keep the sabbath, therefore; for it is holy unto you; every one that profaneth it shall certainly be put to death: yea, whoever doeth work on it, that soul shall be cut off from among his peoples.
15 Kazi itafanywa siku sita; lakini siku ya saba ni Sabato ya kustarehe kabisa, takatifu kwa BWANA; kila mtu atakayefanya kazi yo yote katika siku ya Sabato, hakika yake atauawa.
Six days shall work be done; but on the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, holy to Jehovah: whoever doeth work on the sabbath day shall certainly be put to death.
16 Kwa ajili ya hayo wana wa Israeli wataishika Sabato. Kuiangalia sana hiyo Sabato katika vizazi vyao vyote, ni agano la milele.
And the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations — [it is] an everlasting covenant.
17 Ni ishara kati ya mimi na wana wa Israeli milele; kwani kwa siku sita Yahweh alifanya mbingu na nchi, akastarehe kwa siku ya saba na kupumzika.
It shall be a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever; for [in] six days Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
18 Hapo Mungu alipokuwa amekwisha zungumza na Musa katika mlima wa Sinai, akampa hizo mbao mbili za ushuhuda, mbao mbili za mawe, zilizoandikwa kwa mkono wake.
And he gave to Moses, when he had ended speaking with him on mount Sinai, the two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
