Waefeso 6
1 Watoto watiini wazazi wenu katika Bwana, kwa maana hii ni haki.
Children, do what your parents tell you, for this is the right thing to do.
2 “Mheshimu baba yako na mama yako” (Maana hii ndiyo amri ya kwanza yenye ahadi),
“Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment that has a promise attached:
3 “ili iwe heri kwenu na muweze kuishi maisha marefu juu ya nchi.”
“that things may go well for you and you may live a long life on the earth.”
4 Na ninyi akina baba, msiwakwaze watoto na kuwasababishia hasira, badala yake, waleeni katika maonyo na maagizo ya Bwana.
Fathers, don't make your children mad, but look after them by disciplining them and instructing them about God.
5 Enyi watumwa, iweni watiifu kwa mabwana zenu wa hapa duniani kwa heshima kubwa na kutetemeka kwa hofu itokayo mioyoni mwenu. muwe watiifu kwao kama vile mnavyomtii Kristo.
Servants, obey those who are your human masters, with proper respect and awe, doing things from sincere motives as if you were serving Christ.
6 Utii wenu usiwe tu pale mabwana zenu wanapowatazama ili kuwafurahisha. Badala yake, iweni watiifu kama watumwa wa Kristo. Fanyeni Mapenzi ya Mungu kutoka mioyoni mwenu,
Don't just work well when you're being watched to gain approval, but work like servants of Christ, honestly doing God's will,
7 watumikieni kwa mioyo yenu yote, kwa kuwa mnamtumikia Bwana na wala si wanadamu,
happily serving as if you were doing it for the Lord, and not for people.
8 mnapaswa kujua kwamba katika kila tendo jema mtu analofanya, atapokea zawadi kutoka kwa Bwana, ikiwa ni mtumwa au mtu huru.
You know that whoever does what's good will be rewarded by the Lord, whether that person is a servant or someone who is free.
9 Na ninyi mabwana fanyeni vivyo hivyo kwa watumwa wenu. Msiwatishe mkijua kwamba yeye aliye Bwana wa wote ni yule aliye mbinguni. Mkijua kuwa hakuna upendeleo ndani yake.
Masters, you should treat your servants the same way. Don't threaten them, remember that the Lord in heaven is both their master and yours, and he treats people the same, without favoritism.
10 Hatimaye, iweni na nguvu katika Bwana na katika uwezo wa nguvu zake.
Lastly, stay strong in the Lord, and in his mighty power.
11 Vaeni silaha zote za Mungu, ili kwamba mpate kusimama kinyume na hila za shetani.
Put on all the armor of God so you can withstand all the devil's attacks!
12 kwa kuwa vita yetu si ya damu na nyama, bali ni dhidi ya falme na mamlaka ya roho na watawala wa ulimwengu wa uovu na giza, dhidi ya pepo katika sehemu za mbingu. (aiōn g165)
We're not fighting against human forces, but against supernatural rulers and powers, the dark lords of this world, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. (aiōn g165)
13 Kwa hiyo, vaeni silaha zote za Mungu, ili mpate kusimama imara dhidi ya uovu katika kipindi hiki kiovu. Baada ya kumaliza kila kitu, mtasimama imara.
Take all the weapons God provides so that you may be able to stand your ground in the day of evil and after doing all you can, to find yourself still standing!
14 Hatimaye simameni imara. Fanyeni hivi baada ya kuwa mmefunga mkanda katika kweli na haki kifuani.
So stand up, wrap the belt of truth around your waist, tie on the breastplate of justice and the right,

and put on the shoes of readiness to share the good news of peace.

Above all, take up the shield of trusting God, by which you'll be able to put out all the devil's flaming arrows.
17 Vaeni kofia ya wokovu na upanga wa Roho, ambayo ni neno la Mungu.
Wear the helmet of salvation, and carry the sword of the Spirit—the Spirit that's the word of God.
18 pamoja na maombi na dua. Ombeni kwa Roho kila wakati. Kwa mtazamo huu iweni waangalifu kila wakati kwa uvumilivu wote na maombi kwa ajili ya waamini wote.
Always pray in the Spirit as you do all this. Stay awake and keep on praying for all God's people.
19 Ombeni kwa ajili yangu, ili nipewe ujumbe ninapofungua mdomo wangu. Ombeni kwamba nieleweshe kwa ujasiri kweli iliyofichika ihusuyo injili.
Pray for me too so that I'll be given the right words to say, and that I'll be able to explain confidently the hidden truths of the good news.
20 Ni kwa ajili ya injili mimi ni balozi niliyefungwa minyororo, ili kwamba ndani mwao niseme kwa ujasiri kama ninavyowiwa kusema.
I'm an imprisoned ambassador for the sake of the good news, so please pray that I will speak fearlessly, as I should.
21 Lakini ninyi pia mjue mambo yangu na jinsi ninavyoendelea, Tikiko ndugu yangu kipenzi na mtumishi mwaminifu katika Bwana, atawajulisha kila kitu.

22 Nimemtuma kwenu kwa kusudi hili maalumu, ili kwamba mjue mambo kuhusu sisi, aweze kuwafariji mioyo yenu.
That's why I'm sending him to you—to tell you what's happened to us and to encourage you.
23 Amani na iwe kwa ndugu, na upendo pamoja na imani kutoka kwa Mungu baba na Bwana Yesu Kristo.
Peace to all the Christians there, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, with love and trust in him.
24 Neema na iwe pamoja na wote wanampenda Bwana Yesu Kristo kwa pendo lile lisilo kufa.
Grace to all those who eternally love our Lord Jesus.
